However - those of us who do use Twitter are aware of the onslaught there has recently been on self-proclaimed paedophiles on Twitter. It's very worrying indeed - these people are demanding 'acceptance'.

I've been shocked - just over the last few days - at the torrent of paedophiles demanding acceptance on Twitter. They're also sharing some scary ideas and some people are suggesting they should be included in the LGBT+ category. Which I recall some women on this forum have been predicting for some time.

The top most recommended comment - highlights the double standard of GC feminists being banned from Twitter - Whilst paedophiles brazenly parade their horrific narrative - I wonder if the police will be as busy visiting these sick individuals - as they are targeting people who say if you own a penis you’re a bloke

Absolutely astounded that Twitter bans feminists while allowing these accounts to flourish.

Thing is, now the most bizarre arguments are common currency (men can be lesbians etc) you can see how these equally bizarre and offensive arguments might be accepted.

The article suggests they come from 4chan which would mean that the accounts aren’t real people? (Hopefully).

Anyone else think the narrative is typical of sexually entitled men?
The user also defended pornography involving minors: “Just a reminder that not all CP [child porn] involves children being abused.” sounds like pro-prostitution/porn arguments in general

Interesting how there is both the assertion that it is wrong to suggest a NOMAP (non offending paedophile) will ever act on their desires and also that child abuse / child rape can be consensual and non damaging. If you believe the latter, why the need to assert the former?

Good that it's been covered but I do wirh they'd mentioned the AoA thing. That's the bit that made it seem 'real' to me.

It’s astonishing and frightening that they are so open and brazen about it. Linking up with others who think in the same way and the numbers who are being so open must be normalising it for them. Frightening times.

Lots of the MAPs on twitter seem to be really young.

This one for example is 19. (His twitter bio says his AOA is "idk just love who ya want ya know? Don't have to make things so difficult " )

The youngest MAP I've seen on twitter is 15.

Obviously they could be lying about their own ages - but if not - since when were teenagers part of paeophile rings as the perpetrators?

Honestly that doesn't surprise me. Realistically, there are male teenagers raping their siblings and people they're at school with. Kids are getting raped at school every week. Some of those boys will be paedophiles although I'd like to think it's a very small number. If you're a paedophile it is probable that you have those feelings from as soon as you're aware of your sexuality and yes I'm sure some of those people will have been groomed and will be victims themselves but many won't be. It's not even comfortable to write that but it's the truth.
