The This Morning Facebook page has several discussions on today’s discussion pieces, it’s good that the transing of children is being debated freely on there. Anyone who can use Facebook openly may want to add about consequences of binding and puberty blockers.

Just checked out the Facebook page and all the comments say to leave the children alone, it's just a fad, they shouldn't be allowed to make any decisions until they're adult, etc.

But then a woman posts a photograph of her daughter who has transitioned, and everyone tells her how brilliant she is.

The disconnect is depressing. But, I think these are baby steps. And they're only going in one direction.

And of the people who mention Bergdorf, they all thought they were very annoying. And that's without any knowledge of the homophobic comments that got them released from their Labour Party position.

Just watching the 1st piece with IW and I cannot believe how little fucks IW gives for the well being of kids. It is actually upsetting me.

On the above link to LBC, Bob is followed by Sarah Brown. She could not give sources for any of her 'facts'.

The time for listener calls is then basically taken up by a very emotional man ringing in about his child with Mosaic Turner syndrome, so again intersex is brought into the debate.
Whilst I am of course sympathetic, I did feel it didn't add to the debate.

Sarah actually argued with Nick Ferrari when he corrected the inaccuracy. SB said no child under 16 in the UK is given blockers and that they don't get them till tanner stage 3.

That's just not true. At least 800 UK kids have been given puberty blockers, with 230 of them under 14 and some as young at 10.

Just watched the This Morning clip, which is now up on YouTube. Bob Withers is fantastic - his desperation to get FACTS across is palpable, but balanced with great courtesy which elevates his argument beyond the personal, in spite of Munroe repeatedly trying to drag it down into the usual emotional swamp.

The truth just won't stay buried anymore, it seems...

In my opinion, it would be great if Munroe Bergdorf started sentences with 'in my opinion' when that's the case.
Might get a bit repetitive obviously.

The GMB piece was on just before 7am. This Morning, first interview around 10.35 for those on catch up.

Why does MB feel the need to sneer and make light of serious concerns? That is all they've got, sneering, stock answers, smirking and resorting to the DM. As for those Stonewall faux facts. MB uttered 80 per cent. 80 per cent what MB?

This Morning was better than GMB.
Bob did a good job. He'd said he would come back more during the second interview and he did.

MB tried to twist Bob's findings "ferral" "bias" "right wing". On GMB India mentioned religion, saying they weren't sure what religion Bob is. Bob was not drawn in. The TRA interviewees have certain tricks, religion being one.

Well done Bob for keeping your cool and stucking to research. And for always getting in safeguarding and child protection.

The surgery and makeup are very flattering and I can't stop looking at MB, there was a lot of skill there.

The speech therapy has not been as successful because it sounds like two voices in unison are coming out of the mouth of MB.

Communication skills need some work also, I hear a thesaurus trying to manipulate my emotions rather than any logic whilst MB is debating.

Lack of clarity around terms. Medical means taking medication, surgical means Well, surgery obvs. So medical transitioning is not the srs that Bergdorf seems to think it means.
