Feminism: Sex and gender discussions
ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 10:32

Thanks, I'll politely decline your kind offer.

Ereshkigal · 28/09/2018 10:34

You're not missing anything, Toe.

PencilsInSpace · 28/09/2018 10:44

Joss Prior is the one who spread a pack of lies about Maria Mac after Maria was violently attacked at Speakers Corner.

Princessconsuelafalange · 28/09/2018 11:00

lol, pencils, old news, funny how my account was exactly the same as the judges round-up? mad eh?

Anyway, naughty, thats off-topic!

Come on Erish, you know you want to tell me......

heresyandwitchcraft · 28/09/2018 11:16

Princess thanks for coming on! Question about the video: did you overlay Churchill's "We will fight them on the beaches" speech when Posie was explaining how she would keep defending female only spaces? Churchill fought the Nazis and defended Great Britain, IIRC. Wouldn't that imply that she's one of the good ones?

Princessconsuelafalange · 28/09/2018 11:24

It was mostly sarcasm to be honest, I was juxtapositioning a half-arsed nonsensical rant about breaking the equality act and denying rights to trans people, by using a speech about fighting for freedoms, by Churchill who ironically was also a massive racist.

Tbh those totally lost to the echo chamber, wasn't really my demographic

PencilsInSpace · 28/09/2018 11:25

The lies are still up though and still circulating. Here they are. You can access this archived version even if you're blocked, without having to log out or open a private tab (or give Joss your @ so you can be unblocked Hmm).

Here are three videos showing what happened:

Here is Maria's account. I was there, I saw what happened. Maria's account is accurate.

sausagebap · 28/09/2018 11:33

as opposed to the echo chamber of anime and porn-addicted straight men on twitter and their cowering handmaidens? lol hun ok.

ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 11:45

sausagebap - and the nappies. Don't forget the nappies.

heresyandwitchcraft · 28/09/2018 11:47

She's not advocating breaking the law, the EA allows you to separate by biological sex.
Ta for the Churchill comparison again, because I think his actions in defending the country speak for themselves. Doesn't mean I have to agree with all his views. I think Posie would be chuffed. I found that segment quite inspiring!
Why did you go from a Churchill immediately to Nazi though? This seems historically all over the place regarding references. They were on opposing sides. What WW2 figure would you compare yourself to?
I would like to know more about the symbolism of these historic events in your view as they apply to this debate. This forum is open to anyone who wants to discuss things and doesn't break the guidelines, so I am happy you've come on.

WomenMakePurchasingDecisions · 28/09/2018 11:49

Mums and homemakers, huh? Those cunty radicalised feminists.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 28/09/2018 14:28

Ooh! I got zubbed.

Apologies all, I think I may have misgendered. My error! As a cunty radicalised wannabe woman I should know better!

mirandayardley · 28/09/2018 15:32

I saw a link to a tweet from Joss Prior that included a screen grab of someone who knew Posie IRL, he’s called Leighton Muelller. He of course was making nice to Joss. Here’s what Leighton tweeted at me a couple of years ago, some trans ally hey.

MistOnTheWater · 28/09/2018 16:02

miranda I'm blaming you for making me look at that (not my natural curiosity no way)
I now want to drill a hole in my head and pour Dettol in.

SlowlyShrinking · 28/09/2018 16:05

Well, Leighton definitely seems like a nice bloke and not a vitriolic trans activist at all 😳

FloralBunting · 28/09/2018 16:18

Oh what a guy to have your corner, eh? Actually hateful. Delightedly calling Posie a bitch, and all those messages to Miranda? Yep. He's a regular humanitarian.

mirandayardley · 28/09/2018 16:22

I was really upset with what he said to me. I forwarded these to his employer by email.

FloralBunting · 28/09/2018 17:01

Miranda, I am not surprised. That's bloody vicious stuff.

Ereshkigal · 28/09/2018 18:24

I don't blame you.

DuckingGoodPJs · 01/10/2018 08:47

Thankyou for your concern TTT, leave you @'s and I will unblock you.....

Shameless (and lazy) attempt at doxxing women.
Got your number Princess

I think Europe is in danger from USA culture on the internet. Men and women in the USA dislike each other more than in Europe. I don't know if it's because they think they're only country with free speech so many think they should talk nonsense for the sake of it, but I'm so fed up with coming across angry abusive men from the USA online. Like those angry Incels who can't understand it why women prefer to sleep with men who want to make them feel good, or those mgtow men who say they don't want women, but instead of leaving women alone to have hero gentlemen, if you read their comments, they talk with each other about ways to try and make women feel bad.
Europe has more a history of romance and chivalry where men and women like each other

SSmith55 · 04/11/2018 02:32

I think feminism means something different in USA than Europe, as in Europe it only means fighting abuse and subjugation of women. Such as women didn't have as many rights and were less represented in their own country. It wasn't until recently women had the right to not be raped by her husband. In USA it seems to be an insult by men who hate women, who spend their time searching out examples of idiots who talk nonsense to say all women who fight against abuse are like that. Funny how they spend to much time online whinging against women, filling comment sections no matter what the subject as an excuse to whine on against feminists and saying what women should want, but no woman finds an abusive misogynist who feels threatened by women who have rights against them to be a turn on

LillyoftheCentralValley · 04/11/2018 02:59

*As for KW, the independant Prison authority messed up big time!!

Nothing to do with trans people or laws or grc's, because that independant body has autonomy above those laws and rights anyway.*

There's this thing facts are inconvenient activists do.

"He's not one of ours, not really."

The more things change, you know.

GeorgeFayne · 04/11/2018 04:09

Joss Prior's tag line from Twitter:

"Trans woman. Ingredients: carbon, sarcasm, 17β-estradiol, stardust extract, spices. (May contain nuts)"

No comment. And I honestly did not edit that.

NotTerfNorCis · 04/11/2018 07:33

I saw Prior arguing with a black male Twitter user the other day. Prior claimed that second wave feminism was basically racist , while the other poster disagreed. Prior told the other poster that he didn't know what he was talking about; essentially, Prior was invalidating the other person's experiences. I wish I could have reminded Prior:

You don't know what it's like to be a black man.

You don't know what it's like to be a woman.

All you know is what it's like to be as white transwoman (and even then, a white transwoman living in very specific circumstances).

Your views on feminism are inevitably shaped by the fact you are a transwoman. That doesn't mean your interpretation of feminism is the only valid one. Far from it, in fact. Your understanding of feminism is likely to distort it from its real purpose - helping women.

I hope Prior reads this because Prior needs to be told these things.
