So Shon has been ripping down a pro-woman sticker allegedly found in a toilet and taken some selfies. This picture says a lot about Shon, but not quite what Shon thinks it does.

A picture of yourself holding up a sticker which says 'women's sex based rights' which you have proudly ripped up. Not a great look is it?

Datun

A number of us did last night, though the twat responsible asked for them to be 'withdrawn' - the title of the message is still sitting in the inbox, however!

FanWithoutAGuard · 06/09/2018 08:59

I have now googled - and it's actually quite interesting - this is an article about how it affects Viola playing, with pictures!

Mine said "Die". How very vulnerable and ladylike!

"and as I women I want nothing to do with your 'women's rights' when they exclude trans women. Why? Because there is almost no evidence to support the claim that trans women are a threat to cis women. There's loads of evidence to support the claim that cis men are, however. Trans women are straw ahem, women."

Male transitioners are just that .. male. They can present themselves how they like; modify their bodies in any way they choose; the one thing they can never be is female and, therefore, can never be women. They are merely men wearing prosthetic brassieres or have silicon implants in their chest.

Those are the facts of the matter.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 09:17

Shon Faye seems to care about one thing - Shon Faye.
That's why SF is demonstrating hatred towards sex based women's rights.
Because SF is not a female. And will never be one.
The very existence of the female sex as an actual real category of individuals makes SF feel invalidated.
But that's SF's problem to sort out.
It's not the fault of females (they simply exist!). And it's not for women/feminism to try to fix it for SF. Because they'll never be able to. SF isn't entitled to women's stories/spaces/political movement/identities/bodies just because SF wants them.
Females can't be erased.

Datun · 06/09/2018 09:26

Just seen the sticker thread. Hilarious.

hackmum · 06/09/2018 09:53

Because there is almost no evidence to support the claim that trans women are a threat to cis women

If this is true, then why do they send messages to women such as "Die Nazi scum" or post tweets such as "Terfs can choke on my girl dick" or "destroy and kill all Terfs"? Helpful hint: it does make your basic argument look slightly less convincing.

See terfisaslur.com/ for plenty more examples.

Noqont · 06/09/2018 10:06

Why are you so obsessed with genitals? It comes off kind of pathological! Oh yeah and as I women I want nothing to do with your 'women's rights' when they exclude trans women. Why? Because there is almost no evidence to support the claim that trans women are a threat to cis women

Actually there is plenty of evidence to suggest that some 'transwomen' are a threat to women. And if you don't want anything to do with women's rights, then don't. I don't give a shit what you want. I only give a shit about the safety of women, girls and 'trans' children.

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 10:26

This person is currently on trial for raping two young girls.

They are already serving a sentence for raping another girl.

And I believe, have a conviction for sexual assault of a learning disabled woman under their dead name.

But no, no transwoman is a threat to ‘ciswomen’. Unless you are discounting ‘cis’ girls from your assertions? Because we don’t discount girls (or boys, for that matter) and you can’t guilt us into not wanting to protect them.

I give a shit about the safety and rights of transsexuals too, but not at the expense of the above.

Mrbatmun · 06/09/2018 10:32

The fact that they refer to Gary Cooper as 'her' throughout that article is fucked up.

her my arse.

Yeah true. I do too really. And boys. I give a shit about them as well! Ok I just don't give a shit about entitled men who want to access female spaces. Or people that think it's ok for them to do this.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 06/09/2018 10:38

I noted the weird arm pose but presumed it was done to boost SF’s cleavage for the photo Grin. I tried doing it myself and gave myself two black eyes.

Juells · 06/09/2018 10:38

I've just tried to put my arms in that position and don't have a problem. Am I not understanding something?

I know I'll be accused of female socialisation but honestly I think posters are being nasty about SF. :( I wouldn't have recognised that SF is trans.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 10:42

For something that never happens this seems to happen a lot.

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 10:43

SF says pretty awful things about us (including referring to that nasty tote as his ‘Mumsnet bag’) but no one wants SF to die in a fire or thinks SF isn’t human.

I’m genuinely glad that SF wasn’t hurt by a hidden razor blad when SF removed that sticker.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 10:46

I don't want anyone to get hurt, by hidden blades or otherwise. I would like TRAs to stop lying though.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 06/09/2018 10:47

My DS was very much gender non-conforming when he was younger. He got quite cross when I would talk about women’s rights and women being vulnerable etc, as he got a lot of grief when out and about, mainly from young men who would shout at him and intimidate him. He said life was just as hard and dangerous for boys and young men based on his experience of the world. I tried to point out that he had a choice to dress/look that way. That yes, in an ideal world he should be able to wear what he wanted, but if he wanted to prevent the abuse, he actually COULD choose to have a different hair cut and wear regular clothes and the shouting would stop. He could identify out of the abuse.

He is now a little quirky but very much a regular young man and doesn’t experience the same thing at all. I wonder if he realises that the way he felt when he was a young teen is how girls and women feel forever?!

Basically adult human males can mainly take care of themselves. Children and young teens who are vulnerable need our support.

And this is why TRAs get so angry, because despite everything, they know they remain adult human males, regardless of what they wear, how they talk, what pronouns they use and even how many people they can convince to say “TWAW”. They still know , deep down inside, that they are male. And that we won’t ever feel the need to protect and take care of them. Maybe that’s why they target mums? It’s literally our job and we’re failing them!

placemats · 06/09/2018 10:50

I can put my arms into that position as well, however I have to think about it. My natural inclination is elbows out. I'm slim up top as well.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/09/2018 10:53

Is someone going to describe this arm thing or am I going to have to watch that flipping video?

placemats · 06/09/2018 10:55

I remember SF from this article.

www.theguardian.com/fashion/2014/dec/06/my-life-in-makeup

Plus SF does Instagram look very well. However a 'glamour puss' is pushing it.

placemats · 06/09/2018 10:56

Putting arms inwards is a 'posed' look. It's not natural.

I'm not sure how men do it because I'm not a man.

FanWithoutAGuard · 06/09/2018 11:04

Is someone going to describe this arm thing or am I going to have to watch that flipping video?

As a rule (obviously there are differences, what with people being human) - when men raise their arm up (like doing a bicep curl), their arm comes straight up. When women do, their arm comes inwards onto their chest. ie their elbows poke out, rather than staying straight.

This is apparently due to this hanging angle - that when men put their arms down, they hang out at 10-15degrees, but womens arms bend out at > 15 degrees (again, there is obviously variation, but this is a general secondary sex characteristic, which from reading, people think is so women's arms aren't continually bashing their wider hips as they walk)

Datun · 06/09/2018 11:09

Shon here, disagreeing with Ray Blanchard, talks over him, libels Kenneth Zucker, I think it is, quotes the dodgy suicide starts, and generally uses all their male socialisation to dominate.

I will never understand how anyone can reconcile transwomen are women, with this behaviour which is so opposed to women.

placemats · 06/09/2018 11:12

I'm sure it also has something to do with women and pregnancy, so that women don't fall over in the last trimester.
