A gynaecologist who sexually assaulted 245 patients has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Robert Hadden, 64, wept as he expressed remorse for the pain he had caused before a judge in New York delivered his sentence on Tuesday.

Over a span of two decades, at least 245 women came forward, alleging that they had been abused by Hadden during examinations.

These victims were particularly vulnerable, with many being pregnant or having health issues.

That poor woman, I'm glad she got the guilty verdict. I hope he gets a sentence, a prison sentence, that reflects the crime. I suspect the Channel Islands have their own laws about prisons, I hope he goes to a male prison.
