I'm hoping Rowantrees will be a contributor on here! This is basically a thread to keep together stories of all the things that we have been told will never happen. Please put what the item is about as well as a link for clarity.

Thanks.

'Her' penis.

ScreamingMeMe · 19/05/2022 08:29

A man was recently arrested for the murder and robbery of another much older man he met on a dating app in New York. Yesterday, a lawyer told the court that Alex Scott now 'identifies' as a woman. Scott is now being housed in a women's detention facility

He was about to work with 'Glo' a support group for lgbqt youths. Calls himself a social worker.

Meant to add Brice is also known as Anastasia Diamond. Another friendly drag queen who has performed to children and won various lgbqt awards.

In Germany a "transwoman" killed a female patient with an iron bar and set her on fire. The paper doesn't say if he's in the male or female psych ward awaiting trial now.

This an absolutely superb thread for those who need just one example of X happening in order to maintain that X happens all the time and everywhere. M K Gandhi was wise to the age old political trick: he knew that the British authorities needed only one instance of violence by Indians in order to create the narrative of 'violent Indian resistance'. Thus, he pursued the massively effective policy of 'satyagraha' - non-violent resistance. The British rulers couldn't, in fact, find that one example of violence - and it was downhill for their rule from then on. :)

People in this thread have found examples showing that some men commit sex crimes, whatever their pronouns, what ever their gender identity. The trans part is auxiliary really.

Men commit 98% of crimes.

ScrollingLeaves · 17/07/2022 21:29

The trans part is auxiliary really. except when it gets a trans women into a women’s prison, or hospital ward, or in a job as a cater for vulnerable people. Then the trans part is more important than the former man part.

Ides · 17/07/2022 21:45

... Mind you, I'm not sure what to do if or when you're called out on your strategy of arguing that 'one instance means it could happen everywhere'. (A 'faulty generalisation fallacy', some call it.) I wouldn't bother too much, though. We don't seem to live in an age where people are so exacting. (Thus, for instance, it only takes one unusually cold day for millions to argue that this screws the whole science of human induced climate change.)

Probably the best thing to do is to argue, as many have: 'Forget the reality that X virtually never happens - look how terrible it is when X happens in this hypothetical scenario!' But I wouldn't phrase it like that. In fact I would disguise the fact that this is your essential argument very heavily indeed.

JustWaking · 18/07/2022 11:02

But it's not a hypothetical scenario Confused

These are all examples of real things, really happening. Not one example: many, many examples - one after another.

As the title says, the purpose of this thread is to refute the argument that 'this never happens'. By showing that it does, time after time.

How many women and children do you think are an acceptable amount of collateral damage for this ideology? It seems it's always N+1...

Apollo442 · 18/07/2022 12:10

Of course their argument changes from 'this never happens' when confronted with evidence to 'this hardly ever happens'. And what's a few women and girls being harmed to the upside of a man's gender feelz being validated.

Signalbox · 19/07/2022 15:24

Apparently were are not allowed to have a thread to discuss this so I though I would leave this here with a quote from the tribunal determination...

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11027471/Trans-NHS-worker-wins-discrimination-case-confronted-underwear.html

A concern about the Claimant’s state of undress in the changing rooms was likely to be connected with the fact that she is a transgender woman. This was a communal changing room with a shower cubicle. It did not seem to the Tribunal likely that there would have been a concern about a cisgender woman in a state of undress while changing in such a changing room[…]

The Tribunal therefore concluded that Mrs Hawkshaw asked the questions because of a concern that the Claimant as a transgender woman might be in a state of undress in the female changing room. That was because of gender reassignment. Mrs Hawkshaw would not have asked the questions of a cisgender woman.

assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/62cff0578fa8f50bfafb091d/V_v_Sheffield_Teaching_Hospitals_NHS_Foundation_Trust_1806836-2020___Others.pdf

I hope this is appealed. The women involved must be devastated.

JustWaking · 19/07/2022 18:30

A manager asking an employee whether they wear underwear to work or not is completely inappropriate and humiliating. And I'm willing to believe that the manager wouldn't have asked that question of a non-Trans employee, whether male or female. So it seems entirely appropriate that the worker was successful on that count (and from the article, it sounds like that was the only complaint which was upheld).

Of course, the problem is that the transwoman should not have been told to use the women's changing rooms. Appalling lack of management there, which failed both the transwoman and the female employees.

The women could presumably also persue a discrimination case against the hospital trust: sex discrimination for not providing them with single sex changing facilities.

JustWaking · 19/07/2022 18:37

This is problematic though:

'That was because of gender reassignment. Mrs Hawkshaw would not have asked the questions of a cisgender woman.'

The proper comparator is a non-trans man, not a non-trans woman.

It would be helpful for EHRC to clarify that.

RoyalCorgi · 19/07/2022 19:58

I see a lesson in basic logic is required for the hard of thinking.

If a person makes a claim such as "There are no black swans", then to disprove that claim, it is not necessary to find multiple black swans. It is only necessary to find a single black swan.

Similarly, if a person makes the claim "Men would never use self-ID as an opportunity to carry out sexual offences against women", then to disprove that claim, it is not necessary to find multiple examples of them doing that. It is only necessary to find one example of a man who has used self-ID as an opportunity to carry out a sexual offence against women.

In fact, as this thread has shown, there have been very many examples of men using self-ID to sexually harass and assault women. So from a logical point of view, feminists have won this argument multiple times over.

Obviously from the point of view of the safety of women and girls, then we have quite clearly lost several times over. But then, who cares about the safety of women and girls? Certainly not the men who come on this thread to harass us.

Well, i have seen many threads on Twitter where posters claim there are no communal changing rooms, or that even in communal changing rooms a trans person would not expose his Penis.

Well it has happened- person won an employment tribunal.

And what is the TRA response - Well of course you get undressed in the changing room - of course it's fine for women to see a Penis.

The sentencing seems quite lenient for the offences he pled guilty to. Even if the CSA images he was guilty of making were category C and taking into account a reduction for a guilty plea. The fact he was a serving police officer should have been an aggravating factor.

Here are the relevant sentencing guidelines:

www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/magistrates-court/item/possession-of-indecent-photograph-of-child/

www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/overarching-guides/magistrates-court/item/reduction-in-sentence-for-a-guilty-plea-first-hearing-on-or-after-1-june-2017/

Surely it would be safer to give this man a lifelong SHPO/SOPO and put him on the sex offenders register for life.10 years seems inadequate and quite naïve for the SOR and the sexual notification order given the nature of the offences.

I wonder if he is still in the Metropolitan Police? They need to find some way of recruiting better people.

Had enough of places like Primark thinking that a mixed sex changing room is a good idea.

Me too, I have two teen dds that love going off and trying things on and pervy fuckers like this give me the fear and spoil their innocent pleasure and that is directly on the shops lack of care/risk assessment. Both girls robustly believe boys and girls cannot change sex but neither would have the courage to call someone like that out, they'd just leave and tell me angrily later.

Housing a transgender serial killer of women, freshly released from prison, in women's housing would never lead to h×× selecting a new female target amongst h×× fellow residents and murdering her.

A transgender serial killer with prior convictions for the murders of two women was granted access to a homeless shelter for women, where he reportedly was interacting with his third victim.

Harvey Marcelin, 84, who identifies as a transgender lesbian and uses the name Marceline Harvey, was arrested on March 4 for the murder of Susan Leyden, 68. Leyden, a former jewelry designer from New Jersey, was a resident of the Sage Center at Stonewall House, an LGBTQ residence in Brooklyn that also houses homeless seniors.reduxx
