A hospital told the police that a patient could not have been raped because her alleged attacker was trans, the House of Lords has heard.

The attack took place a year ago and the woman reported it but when officers contacted the hospital, which has not been named, they were told “that there was no male in the hospital, therefore the rape could not have happened”.

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, who raised the issue during a debate on single-sex wards, continued: “They forgot that there was CCTV, nurses and observers.

“None the less, it has taken nearly a year for the hospital to agree that there was a male on the ward and, yes, this rape happened.

I read that a few days ago, and JUST KNEW from the first few lines of reading that it would be a man.
I was so angry at hte misrepresentation that I complained on the BBC website - yet more bullshit and gaslighting from the BBC.

I notice that the last line from the article 'she now identifies as a transgender woman', has been removed, and right in the middle of the article it just says 'Marcelin - who recently identified as a woman'.
So now they have even taken out any reference to trans at all. So insiduous .

Has anyone added the case brought up by Baroness Nicholson at the House of Lords last Wednesday about a woman raped on a hospital ward? When the woman reported the rape and the police investigated they were told there could not have been a rape because they had been told by the hospital that was no male on the ward. It transpired through cctv that there had been. The staff had not divulged the presence of a trans woman as according to annex B of the Equalities Act trans people’s status as being the sex they say must he protected.

Yes I posted it above. Another "horrified but not altogether surprised" moment for me.

Shortly after publication, the BBC article made no mention of the fact the killer is biologically male and only recently identified as female.

On the 15th of March a line at the bottom of the article was added to reflect the sex of the killer.

On the 17th, which features a more prominent reference to the sex of the suspected killer, as well as an added detail the suspect only "recently" identified as the opposite sex.

Really creepy video (but safe for work). Imagine being in the toilets and encountering this person; even being in a stall and hearing this. Just want to pee my arse.
