"A young politician and transgender activist who is running for deputy leadership of the Green Party was fighting for her political life last night after it emerged that she had used her father as her election agent even though he faced charges of raping and torturing a 10-year-old girl."

Stuff that "never happens" happens with some frequency, doesn't it?

AAK

Let's not forget the corollary qualification: Stunning and Brave

AngryAttackKittens · 26/08/2018 11:45

Gender critical women - Um, we think there may be a problem here.

Media/politicians - Don't be silly dear

GC women - No seriously, here are some examples

Wokebros - Shut up or we'll kerbstomp you, bitch!

GC women - Not sure how that's supposed to make you look more rational or convince anyone that you have the moral high ground and are totally safe to be around, but whatever. Anyway, again, here are some more examples of why we're concerned.

Website moderators all across the internet - (Delete comments, threaten to ban commenters)

The Times - Actually it seems like there may in fact be a problem here

Media/politicians/wokebros/website moderators - (Appear to have lost their ability to speak or type)

Iused2BanOptimist · 26/08/2018 11:46

Ah silly me. Question answered. Thank you. Hmm

VickyEadie · 26/08/2018 11:46

AngryAttackKittens

Succinct, pithy and absolutely correct.

Jarveau · 26/08/2018 11:47

Does anyone know if this is also in the print edition of the Sunday Times? I'll be buying several copies if so.

OrchidInTheSun · 26/08/2018 11:47

The more I read about this family, the more I am convinced that AC is a mere puppet with DC pulling the strings behind the scenes. I'm more and more horrified by the repeated failures of authorities and the GP to join the dots here.

And AC's only qualification for standing for deputy leader appears to be their trans identification. They have no qualifications, a very chequered school history and diagnosed mental health issues. And they're 20.

What on earth are the Green Party thinking?

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 11:47

Yy aak

OrchidInTheSun · 26/08/2018 11:48

Yes it is Jarveau - I've seen screenshots of the pages

Iused2BanOptimist · 26/08/2018 11:49

Sickystuff Before all this what I knew about AC could have been written on a postage stamp but I had absorbed the fact that computers/IT are the number one talent, presumably learnt from father.

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 11:50

I'd missed that AC specifically advised WM police.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Iused2BanOptimist · 26/08/2018 11:50

SORRY ShockBlush Stickystuff Thanks

AngryAttackKittens · 26/08/2018 11:51

I know I keep saying it but why would any political party elect a 20 year old deputy leader (unless they're called the Undergraduate Party, in which case fair enough)?

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 11:52

Floats into the land of massive speculation here, but I wonder if the hacking was actually AC, or whether DC didn't want police examining his computers in forensic detail...? AC doesn't seem bright enough tbh.

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 11:53

(wonder if speculation that AC is innocent of a crime will be allowed to remain, or whether the PA of saying they aren't too bright will cause it to go poof..?)

Jarveau · 26/08/2018 11:55

Thanks, Orchid

AngryAttackKittens · 26/08/2018 11:57

Can "cyberterrorism" not sometimes be less "demonstrated elite hacking skills" and more "made incredibly stupid threats to an organization with a lot of power that decided to teach that kid a lesson"?

placemats · 26/08/2018 11:57

sticky

The police breaking down the door once is unfortunate, but FOUR times suggests something sinister to hide.

One wonders then why AC was asked to speak at a police conference regarding 'transphobia'.

SaintEyning · 26/08/2018 12:00

It looks like all the comments on the Gilligan piece have been deleted. But I don’t subscribe so perhaps that’s why I can’t see them anymore.

AcerbicAndroid · 26/08/2018 12:02

SaintEyning

No, the comments were deleted as I was reading them 7-8 minutes ago. There were at least 26 when I began.

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 12:02

It certainly could be aak. The word you're thinking of though is "leet" Wink

placemats · 26/08/2018 12:03

They have been deleted. To be honest, there were some very nasty comments there. I can't believe that purveyors of the Sunday Times would think such things, so it may well have been taken over by 'activists' of some sort to scupper debate on the matter.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 26/08/2018 12:05

All the comments have gone in the last 10 minutes. Did someone do screen shots? I am not interested in any nastiness but someone upthread mentioned an interesting poster.

OnlyObjectivity · 26/08/2018 12:06

Yup - they all went one-by-one puff, puff, puff, whilst I was reading them (a very odd experience), and then the "deleted" placeholders vanished too.
