Excellent work Chollo

nauticant · 10/08/2018 12:39

That edges a little to much away from cartoony for my liking. Sorry.

CholloDeNombre · 10/08/2018 12:40

I didn't design it.

What font is it, does anyone know?

PencilsInSpace · 10/08/2018 12:58

If a person were to make files on adobe software that is registered to them, would there be hidden info attached to the file that could trace it back to the creator?

tsonlyme · 10/08/2018 12:59

SparticusAutisticus I’m still waiting for the ex to pull his finger out but I shouldn’t really complain because he’s doing me a favour 😂

I’ll post when I have the image and share somehow. It’ll be pdf I would imagine, A6 (so 4 to an A4 sheet)

Does it matter if there are differing stickers floating around? Surely it’s the message that’s important.

As a woman I have had a lot of penises- but none of them have been my own Grin

ToeToToe · 10/08/2018 13:16

The twitterati TAs don't like this thread (can't imagine why Grin ) - they'll try to get it pulled - so save any info/swap details by dm if you need to.

That was a Public Service Announcement. Wink

ToeToToe · 10/08/2018 13:17

I had a lot of wild dreams as a young woman - but never in the wildest of them did I think "women don't have penises" would be a controversial statement in 2018.

womensvoicesmatter · 10/08/2018 13:25

Does it matter if there are differing stickers floating around?

On the contrary, I think it demonstrates it's a grass roots thing - loads of women are getting involved of our own backs and doing this because we want to be heard.

tsonlyme · 10/08/2018 13:27

And what is it they say? Revolutions start at the kitchen table, or something like that.

The TRA twitterati don’t like this thread?
Oh dear, never mind.

TimeLady · 10/08/2018 13:27

Got my first set of labels printed Grin

I'm starting with small ones, on the 'little' and often' basis as they're easier to apply discreetly.

When out with DGS with the buggy this morning, it struck me that's it's going to be quite difficult to chalk on pavements/roads without being spotted. However, the buggy might be a good decoy as long as DGS doesn't come out with his usual "What you doin', Granma?"

CholloDeNombre · 10/08/2018 13:29

Can't stop us, won't stop us!

ToeToToe · 10/08/2018 13:31

Ha - right - they can't have us all banned and deleted from real life Grin

Delete us from the SM platforms - we'll take it onto the streets.

womensvoicesmatter · 10/08/2018 13:35

Yes, there could well be. Depends on what your settings are.

What kind of file would it be? Here's some tips on anonymising PDFs:

A version of the chalk Wiltshire white horse?

Weedkiller on the grass?

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 10/08/2018 13:45

I'm going to start looking out for these willys everywhere I go!Grin

BettyDuMonde · 10/08/2018 13:47

‘Women don’t have willys’ is even funnier.

Melamin · 10/08/2018 13:54

Weedkiller on the grass? Mine's dead already Sad

ChattyLion · 10/08/2018 14:15

Flowers Loving your work everyone!!

silentcrow · 10/08/2018 14:28

Not to detract from all the excellent sticker work (definitely put me down for a batch!), but I often get a bit of a radar for slightly unlikely press appearances. I follow the book industry probably more closely than is healthy, and what should I see being promoted today?

There's nothing like getting a range of views is there?*

Ah yes. Our woodland friends have a book out. For teens. Being promoted by a rather large retailer.

By the way, don't forget to support your friendly local bookshops when seeking further feminist reading - remember, they stock what sells. It's slightly more awkward than just Prime-ing all your books for next-day delivery, but worth the trip/online order.

To put this firmly in every hand of the grassroots.

Pink News have offered up an image to download.

Watch the video

Put the pink news image in your preferred free app (see video)

Grab the dots at the corner of the Pink News images and made it bigger.

Proceed as per video.

I can give suggestions for free apps that add text if you don't want to hand write the message in the drawing app. But handwriting in the drawing app avoids problems with freebie apps altering your image and making it too low resolution to print well.

Zero drawing skills required. If you can trace, you can do this.

And if you can do this, you are off the skills leash for not just this, but for whatever other visual grassroots subversive fight back comes next.

It may take a little practice at first. But my art teacher nearly cried on a weekly basis at my utter inability to take on board all of her beautifully taught techniques and skills, and even I got the hang of the steps in the video quite quickly.

The Pink News image provides a nice simple design with a clear outline and solid block of colour for a dead easy fill in, just a few goes should do the trick.
