No, lack of a penis also doesn’t indicate woman.
Be it removal through choice or health or accident.

In the same way a woman losing breasts or uterus through health or choice is still absolutely a woman.

RuddyTrees · 10/08/2018 09:25

Are we any closer to getting some stickers?! If not I might have to get me crayons out.

Datun · 10/08/2018 09:26

it just makes the women look bitter and a bit sad.

Sad. Deluded. Bitter. Disgusting. And what was it, childish, puerile and don't they have anything better to do? Plus bigot, bigot, bigottttt.

Except.

Women don't have penises.

Someone should tell PN, Fox and Owl to say nothing. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, you can say about this sticker campaign without promoting it.

CesiraAndEnrico · 10/08/2018 09:28

A base image (that might be high res enough but might not have been checked in that regard yet) with the sentence in any language can be shared if a place to share is established so the person who made it can keep their identity anonymous. Because hypothetically they could have a husband who gets really annoyed when their wife gets embroiled in online stuff that can and has spilled over into real life.

Die cut stickers can be printed at varying levels of cost both at local and online printer shops. Type something like "die cut print stickers" and see what is available in your area/country, at a price point you are happy with. By spreading the printing around it stops one business sleepwalking into carrying a can they had no idea they just picked up. The fewer obvious targets to be turned into casualties the better.

Ereshkigal · 10/08/2018 09:32

Really great points Cesira.

hackmum · 10/08/2018 09:32

What I love is the way they quoted Angela C Wild in full - even the bit where she told them how crap their publication is.

It's good to have it clarified that stating biological fact is a hate crime whereas tweeting variants on "Terfs should be raped, tortured and murdered" isn't.

tsonlyme · 10/08/2018 09:33

I’ve asked the ex if he’ll create a high res image and I’ll share when he has so long as I can do it safely/anonymously. I do have an anonymous email address that I can use and I don’t much care if I then receive a bunch of TRA abuse in it as a result.

I think he’s still asleep though, he always was a useless fucker 😂

theOtherPamAyres · 10/08/2018 09:42

The vile, disgusting phallus definitely needs explaining.

"8 out of 10 transwomen have a penis". Or something like that

Zeugma · 10/08/2018 09:45

Reading the absolute garbage spouted in the Pink News report makes me realise (yet again) that the world has truly gone mad.

But, on the plus side, that sticker is genius

PutYourShirtOnMartin · 10/08/2018 09:47

Or

'8 out of 10 transwomen prefer to keep their penis'

( bit like 8 out of 10 cats)

CesiraAndEnrico · 10/08/2018 09:48

EDIT

.....

There is one more thing. Unadorned with links and hashtags it sends a very clear message to our New Lords And Masters, The SM giants. And all the organisations that have kowtowed to them for fear of losing popularity, ADVERTISERS or high rankings.

We don't need them, the real world is the new social media king.

The algorithm is dead, long live Real Life.

...

Just occurred to me, if the stickers start bubbling up everywhere it will give companies who rush to withdraw advertising pause for thought.

It could bring into sharp focus the numbers of purses and wallets on this side, who might not be the most vocal online. Not least cos they are dogpiled, get banned, or are forced to self censor to the point of losing clarity.

Mossandclover · 10/08/2018 09:49

theother no I agree with pp that in this case the message needs to be kept simple to draw people in. It also needs to be about women not trans. As soon as you mention trans people think ‘trans debate - nothing to do with me’.

Melamin · 10/08/2018 09:54

It needs to be everywhere pdq.

Ereshkigal · 10/08/2018 09:55

As soon as you mention trans people think ‘trans debate - nothing to do with me’.

They do. It makes them switch off.

YessicaHaircut · 10/08/2018 09:56

Y’know, reading the article again I suspect that the author may be on our side. The whole thing reads like a spoof to highlight the ridiculousness of TRAs (I actually laughed out loud at the first mention of “Owl” as genuinely thought it was a joke), and including the entire quote from Angela surely serves to undermine the message of the article so why not edit it down?
🧐

ChattyLion · 10/08/2018 09:59

Agree that a lot of people will switch off if they see something to do with trans and think it’s all just a wokester squabble about semantics or feminists being anti-glitterfabulous meanies.

The basis of the message on women and the urgent threat to their rights, privacy, dignity etc as a sex seems the most pressing one to start with.

(And I know we’re not just talking about single-sex toilets here) but I still really like ‘Keep your penis out of the Ladies!’’ Grin
HT to whichever MNer that was from. Smile

Ereshkigal · 10/08/2018 10:27

I think you underestimate just how stupid many wokesters are.

moofolk · 10/08/2018 10:35

True. Poe's law states that any extreme view is indistinguishable from satire.

I too balked at the PN headline, this is beyond funny. I mean vulgar, yes. It's a crude picture of a penis. But vile? FFS.

I too would be interested if anyone is distributing the stickers.

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 10/08/2018 10:45

Anyone else noticed that if you turn it upside down the penis sticker looks remarkably like an 'up yours' middle finger?

Yes I assume the pointing ability is very much part of the aim (as in the photo of the penis pointing to the "Stonewall" sign).

I completely agree with everyone saying that the simplicity of the statement is entirely the point. And completely disagree (politely!) with people saying it should have figures about TWs' penises on this. Because: how can anyone describe a statement of simple fact as "anti-trans", except the nutters at Pink News? The brilliance of those stickers is (partly) that they have
nothing at all to do with TWs. They are about women.

LaSquirrel · 10/08/2018 10:49

after a number of “disgusting” phallus-shaped stickers – carrying the phrase “women don’t have penises” – were found across London, including on Stonewall’s office building.

LOL, Prick News - did you think of your main readership (gay dudes) when typing that ("disgusting")?

Also, most of the TW and TRAs seem to be very proud about their 'lady penises' - the other big segment of your readership.

The smaller segment of the Prick News readership that does find penises fairly disgusting... (or at least, unnecessary) are Lesbians! Lesbians (the real kind) by their very existence are... "transphobic" (in not believing that anyone born with a penis is a lesbian).

#gettheLout

tsonlyme · 10/08/2018 10:51

Right, the ex is on it. How big do you think? The text needs to be clear at a glance, would 4 to an A4 sheet be about right? That way they would be easy to slap on as you walk past something.

theOtherPamAyres · 10/08/2018 10:52

From the article:

  • "Owl, a non-binary transactivist and film-maker [said] ....

Fox Fisher, a non-binary transactivists and film-maker [said]: *

There's nothing like getting a range of views is there?

Were Owl and Fox uploading a video to Youtube, after chasing each other around the Pink News Office, when the newshound was looking for a quote? (Did you see what I did there?)

Top class reporting there!

womensvoicesmatter · 10/08/2018 10:52

Sticker file here!

Is this high res enough to reproduce? If so, anyone know a decent company that prints stickers?

tsonlyme · 10/08/2018 10:55

womensvoices you beat me to it.

I think mine will be in colour so I’ll let him carry on producing it then there’s a choice.

You can but sticker paper and use your own printer if you’d rather not approach a printing service.

StunningAndBraveLadyCock · 10/08/2018 11:02

What about women with Stunning and Brave Lady Cocks?
Clearly, there should be some exception to the rules. Because stunning and brave.
