Many great ideas here. I especially like the idea of moss graffiti.

WhatTheWatersShowedMe · 13/08/2018 08:43

I am shocked and appalled by these stickers and definitely condemn anyone who would dream of downloading the artwork from the Dropbox linked above and order 100s of them at a very reasonable price, like say £20 delivered. Terrible behaviour.

LangCleg · 13/08/2018 08:49

I'm going full pomo and translating anti-trans vandals are plastering vile ‘women don’t have penises’ stickers around London to pro-woman street artists bring guerilla-style transgression to London's urban spaces.

CholloDeNombre · 13/08/2018 09:12

Cesar you are a gem. I'll be getting a few of these printed when payday comes.

Cartertheunstoppablesexmachine · 13/08/2018 09:44

Thanks Cesira.
Fidget Spinner - I may borrow your leaflet wording if that's OK?
Does anybody have anything to add to it, before I fire up Publisher (afraid that's the limit of my design skills).

The penis stickers are not popular among some on Twitter it seems.. Grin

I have some ideas about how to make some extra, adapted versions aimed at catching the eye/ear of various sub-groups of the "don't use SM much and are a bit out of the loop" variety.

If you are OK with it, I can run up some drafts, and send you a PM with a link to various docs when done. PM rather than on here so your baby stays your baby until you have had the chance to pick which outfits you want / don't want it dressed in before you show it to the world.

The penis stickers are not popular among some on Twitter it seems.

Strangely they don't seem to like things that make most people go "well, duh!".

And seem concerned that the necessary nine million quasi-academic words to explain the inaccuracy of the accepted truth of a four word sentence will be unconvincing.

Especially given that many of us humans in the internet age have developed the attention span of a gnat and will wander off long before they've finished their lecture.

The problem with the snappy version of their rebuttal is that it can cause some major "hang on a minute! Fuck that for a game of soldiers. I have wildly misunderstood this trans thing, thanks for the heads up that I need to radically reassess my position" to happen.

I'd love a copy of those drafts/links if possible please?

I have some time at the moment. I have stickers, but need a longer leaflet encouraging others to complete the GRA consultation.

CesiraAndEnrico · 13/08/2018 10:21

I'd love a copy of those drafts/links if possible please?

As long as fidget is cool with it (god I am old) so am I.

Can anybody help with a FAQ aimed at the sorts of questions ordinary people who have had this float over heads would ask about the changes in the law that the consultation could bring about ? I need to create a few simple, clear. "ordinary person" questions that aren't based on any real knowledge of what's been going on so far, and where this could end up. I have Adobe Page and I know how to use it. Just about.

CholloDeNombre · 13/08/2018 10:27

You could base a FAQ around a simple who-what-when-where-why-how format.

Who - the Stonewall definition of trans is quite the eye opener
What - There is no scientific basis for an innate feeling of gender. The people who claim that “trans women are women” are, in actual fact, promoting deeply misogynistic and homophobic ideals. Self ID allows for anyone who describes themselves as trans be automatically granted the rights and privileges of living as the opposite sex as laid out in the Equalities Act 2010 as a protected characteristic.
When - GRA consultation this summer, finishes in October etc etc
Where - single sex NHS wards, changing rooms, Girl Guides, etc
Why - single sex provision is important for the dignity, safety and privacy of both men and women
How - have your say in the GRA today! #NotoSelfID

Something along those lines.

Cheers !

I have a link to a first rough draft of one "sub group focused" flyer. Let me know if you want me to PM you the link.

fidgetspinner555 · 13/08/2018 12:36

To everyone who asked - please use my leaflet wording as much as you like - that's why I posted it! Print print print.....!!

All systems go!

DuckingGoodPJs · 13/08/2018 12:53

fidget saw this on my facebook feed

Cartertheunstoppablesexmachine · 13/08/2018 12:54

Thanks. There is so much that is wrong with the ideaology that it's hard to know where to begin.

I wish others could see what I'm seeing on Twitter (not braved Reddit yet) especially from those in key positions - Wily Madagain, Dr Death, Dress Badley, Talcum X and those masonic brothers Lord and Murray.
And now we have C4's self-confessed born again teenager.

Don't even get me started on the motley crew of Mermaids and Stonewall.

You couldn't make this shit up.

fidgetspinner555 · 13/08/2018 13:09

DuckingGoodPJs - yes that's what started me off and what I based mine on!

CesiraAndEnrico · 13/08/2018 15:15

Ok, have a webpage aimed at the widest possible appeal, both sexes, older end of the crowd (cos we tend to "like" less and go and shout at local politicians more), all political flavours.

But need fresh eyes for proof reading and fact checking. DS is refusing to read it again and DH just wants to keep adding more of his arm waving perspective, but it's long enough already.

Any takers say PM me ! If I recognise you from this or previous thread, I'll send the link. Not sending it to "on your side, honest gov'" lurkers. For obvious reasons.

Sticker Lady's been busy again

CesiraAndEnrico · 13/08/2018 21:22

That's some dedication to the cause. Hand cut penis !

Have knocked up some focused flyers that borrow heavily from Fidget. I know somebody above said about bringing the men in to paper/sticker their places. So I worded it for them to be able to view the issue through the lens of their girlfriend, wife, mother, daughter. I tested them on DH.

He was not a happy bunny post read. It's the first time he has asked me questions rather than just sitting there while I get all arm wavey. So I think they work. On Italian men anyway.

There's also one for women in the same tone.

I promise I have proofread and rejigged till my eyes itched. But there still could be errors, if you see any let me know.

Just ordered 50 sheets of 4 stickers for less than £3. Will draw them up when I'm sitting in at night.
Not drawn a joke willy for almost 20years, i might have to practice.

“Some trans women & actually virtually all trans girls under 18 have penises. I believe in campaigning for better security & safety for women (& actually everyone for that matter) but I'm afraid that posting pics of penises makes many of us transgender females feel uncomfortable.”

And actual penises in female only spaces makes me feel uncomfortable.

Why is a sticker worse than a penis?

ChattyLion · 13/08/2018 23:25

Stickerwoman has superpowers - she can do anything!

Cartertheunstoppablesexmachine · 13/08/2018 23:42

Thanks Cesira.

I'm still inspired by the sticker on the mannequin in Topshop. Hope Stickerwoman reaches Target soon in her travels overseas.
