According to Andrew Gilligan:

Crowdfunder has told me that Transgender Trend's resource pack "does not break our terms and conditions" and its fundraiser will be reinstated. Big victory against trans lobby bullies.

Ariel is mad as a box of frogs. I can imagine them frothing and foaming and mantruming like a two year old. It gladdens my heart.

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 07/06/2018 18:35

You do realise that this "pack" will literally KILL Trans children? Are you happy to have this thought on your conscience?

On the contrary, it might save a bunch of kids from making life changing decisions, whilst also advising schools to support trans children. How upset TRAs get over this pack is bizarre when it seems not one of them can point out anything thats actually hateful or anything in the guidance.

TransplantsArePlants · 07/06/2018 18:37

TheCountess

Yes. Misuse of "Literally" drives me figuratively insane

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 07/06/2018 18:38

Ariel complaining about being blocked when never even tweeting the account in question is delightful, and

Oh God, wait 'till Helen gets wind of it and starts tweeting. Grin

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 07/06/2018 18:41

I misuse literally quite often. I tend to realise after I have said/posted Blush

TransplantsArePlants · 07/06/2018 18:42

TheGoal

My head has literally exploded Grin

I think mimmymum's too busy harassing a school governor at the moment - for daring to hold a Woman's Place meeting at a school...

I'm sure she'll be frothing all over this soon.

lightthedarkness · 07/06/2018 18:48

The crowd funder is more than half way there! £5860 to date !

spontaneousgiventime · 07/06/2018 18:49

ToeToToe I'm sure she will. Do you think she'd be offended if we offered her a spit guard for the spit and feathers heading out of the Helen house?

ToeToToe · 07/06/2018 18:51

Grin She'll be literally frothing all over the place - which, to me, is literal violence.

spontaneousgiventime · 07/06/2018 18:53

I'm sure her children's school has been threatened with fire and brimstone if they dare read a TT pack. Grin

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 07/06/2018 19:12

I donated directly via Paypal when I saw the crowdfunded had been suspended - so hopefully they are even further along with their fundraising 😊

Echobelly · 07/06/2018 21:49

I have to say, as a gender-critical but sympathetic to trans person I wanted to look at the material, and I can't see anything 'hateful' in it or dangerous to trans kids.

I think it's perfectly reasonably asking 'Hold up, could the reason so many girls in particular are questioning their gender because they're anxious about the pressures of being female? And transition/identifying as male/genderqueer could seem like a way out, so maybe we should check in with them about worries about maturing as a woman before we assign them other gender identities?'

I take everything I hear from either side with a pinch of salt, but if it is true that people are going into schools, saying to kids stuff like 'You can be whatever gender you want' I don't think that's a great idea. It's fine as part of PSHE to say that there is a very small number of people who don't feel they can identify with their birth sex, but I'm not sure kids everywhere need whole workshops on being trans. If kids really do feel that way, we have the internet now, people know about trans now people can find out about it. I think people who are doing education on it do mean well and just want to make sure kids who are unsure of their gender identity are supported, not force masses of kids to transition, but perhaps this isn't the right approach.

£6,275 and climbing Smile

AllTheDressesInAllTheSizes · 07/06/2018 22:13

I'd like to do a school pack called Gender is Made Up Shit To Toxify The Air We Breathe

Stilettosandan0venglove · 07/06/2018 22:33

I doubled my donation when I learned it was under attack.

Me too, via PayPal. So glad the crowd funder is up and running again.

Mannix · 08/06/2018 06:53

Just donated Smile The pack seems measured and appropriate to me.

LastTrainEast · 08/06/2018 15:21

I was pleased to see common sense win out too and made a small donation. I hope more people hear of it because of the attempt to block it.

lightthedarkness · 08/06/2018 20:03

Good news update - £7335 - nearly 3/4 of the way there to the target £10,000. Smile

Ereshkigal · 08/06/2018 20:15

Fantastic!

spontaneousgiventime · 08/06/2018 23:04

My daughter donated today and another is donating Monday

mancheeze · 08/06/2018 23:59

Since many studies confirm that kids 'desist' (80%) it makes sense to be very cautious and to let children just express themselves without 'affirming' and setting them up for a lifetime of various medical interventions.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 09/06/2018 06:59

It's a just wonderful that it's doing so well - you can really get shit done with money like that.

Cwenthryth · 09/06/2018 07:03

It also clearly demonstrates the level of support there is for a gender critical approach and level of concern about the impact of TRA ideology on children.
