I hope it's okay to post this here. I'm not sure if Harvey is on here or not?

Basically Harvey was asked to leave the book fair event on Sunday after handing out leaflets on women's rights. They told her she could instead distribute the leaflets outside the hall, which she did for a short while. During that time she was verbally-harassed by a group of people. After which, she was asked to leave!

You could not make this shit up!

I can imagine the game wasn't worth the candle for anyone trying to help people who are ACTUALLY marginalised.

Indeed.

Hello everyone (Jeni here) and thank you for the support on this thread. It is much appreciated.

I have had time to reflect on Saturdays events and all I can say is that a minority of transactivists are just desperate that women do not hear any alternative narrative to the current orthodoxy. They will threaten, abuse, and do anything they can to prevent us sharing information and discussing our rights. All the more important that we do then.

Outside of that group is a large mass of people who are confused, unsure, intimidated, and who want only to be on the 'right' side. These people are all worth talking to. The idea that a biologically male person is a female person just because they say they are is a tiny, minority viewpoint. Most people don't believe this.

The reason we are so threatening is that we are beginning to turn the tide and successfully make the case for the preservation and strengthening of women's sex based rights. I'm absolutely fine and will be distributing more pamphlets over the coming weeks.

TransplantsArePlants · 06/06/2018 19:48

Hi. Sorry you experienced such intimidation. And I agree the tide is turning

I wonder if you contacted the Guardian journo who left a message under your article?

Hey Jen. Good to see you here.

You are a brave woman! And you're right - the rage will ramp up though, so please take good care.

Jen, thank you for being so brave but please take careFlowers

We should all en masse go to one of these radical lefty anarchist dude bro wank fest events. Publicise the fact we're going as well. Let the snotty little misogynists tear themselves in knots as they peer suspiciously at every middle aged woman who wanders past. Do they expose themselves as the vicious sexist little sods we all know them to be, by confronting and ordering out older women who are suspected of wrong-think? Or do they let us wander free and risk us passing on forbidden knowledge.

rosylea · 06/06/2018 20:53

If TRA's have renamed womens rights as anti-trans, maybe we should rename them?

MipMipMip · 06/06/2018 21:22

Doesn't see that statement us beautiful. Tragic too.

Jen is it possible to download that leaflet? I'd like to place a few around towns I visit.

MipMipMip · 06/06/2018 21:27

That should have said: Rowantree that statement is beautiful. Tragic too.

Bloody autocorrect. Angry
