Morgane Oger, that well known "mom" of two, is running for mayor of Vancouver.

One planks of 'her' manifesto is shutting down the Vancouver Rape Relief Shelter because of its anti-trans policy.

Not spiteful at all.......

Taking unrelenting, vindictive, malicious action, plus inciting others to act on their behalf (raise a mob), over years, to destroy someone or an organisation, in the disordered quest to prove "I'm right" is a sure sign of those with psychopathic traits.

They'll be in good company no doubt if elected, but I for one would prefer less of these sorts, not more as they only operate in their selfish interests, despite what they say.

I was planning a holiday to Vancouver next year - think I will forget it.
Just looked at a couple of items on this person, who thinks being a woman has nothing to do with ' plumbing' but all to do with a person saying they are. I would hope that someone as objectionable as MO would not get as far in NZ. Our first, and only trans woman MP started her political career as a Mayor, and did very well in that position before being elected to Parliament. But unlike this MO she is a genuinely nice person, who has expressed alarm herself at the current nastiness of TRA tactics in NZ. As she pointed out recently, it will only harm the trans gender community as a whole in the long run.
Justin Trudeau claims to be a feminist. Couldn't he be sicked on to this MO? Women will punish him in the next election if they see he won't stand up for them against misogyny and bullying.

It doesn't surprise me that Orge is taking such action. Nor does it surprise me that this happening in Canada. Perhaps Stefoknee (or whatever the spelling is) can lend Orge some support, being as how they are an advisor to the Canadian government on trans issues.

Not surprising that the originator of the term "handmaidens" is Canadian, is it?

Slightly off the point here, but I saw my doctor recently, and took the opportunity to ask if he was aware of the self id thing, and children being referred for puberty blockers etc. He was completely unaware of the whole issue(!) but promised to look at speakupforwomennz, and A woman'sPlaceUK. So that's something.
I do hope that when the BDMRR Bill gets its second reading in the House next year all the critical submissions, and letters, and emails will have been read, and their points fairly considered. I know that my MP has concerns, so I hope he raises them.
In the meantime we have one last email to Julie Ann Genter to fire off,
and then we will try and forget the whole boiling mess over Christmas. Will still read Mumsnet posts though!

Oh I've tussled with some, lemonjello. They think it's disgusting that the shelter won't allow trans women in because TWAW. Seriously, lots of woke folk are supporting this. It's all about the trans women no empathy for the abused women. And I'm a bigot for suggesting fundraising and campaigning for trans refuges.
