👏👏👏👏👏

Agerbilatemycardigan · 08/03/2018 10:00

Was just about to post this. Bloody chuffed to bits about this. Hopefully people are waking up to this insanity.

MrsJoshDun · 08/03/2018 10:02

Great article. I know Judith and she’s fab.

reallybadidea · 08/03/2018 10:03

Judith Green totally rocks.

Patodp · 08/03/2018 10:04

This is great.
Good comments too most agreeing with the article.

Patodp · 08/03/2018 10:05

(Although gleefully left-bashing comments)

LangCleg · 08/03/2018 10:10

Clear, cogent, common sense from Julia.

More like this please. Because it's so hard not to despair at times.

LangCleg · 08/03/2018 10:10

Judith. Sigh. Sorry, Judith!

StickStickStickStick · 08/03/2018 10:16

Brilliant.

CarefullyDrawnMap · 08/03/2018 10:23

Thank you for the link, that was a good article. As someone who's finding it quite confusing, that was very helpful in setting things out clearly.

OvaHere · 08/03/2018 10:23

Great article. I can't see the comments but good to know they are broadly supportive.

SweetGrapes · 08/03/2018 10:27

This is fantastic!

hackmum · 08/03/2018 10:28

A really good piece. The Spectator has been one of the best outlets for airing gender-critical concerns, which says a lot, unfortunately, about the state of the left-wing press.

moonmaker · 08/03/2018 10:36

Agree but it's all too apologetic.

Elendon · 08/03/2018 10:39

That's a valuable article and I have bookmarked it. What particularly struck me was this paragraph:

People attending and speaking are also targeted. A common tactic is to send messages to their employers accusing them of transphobia and inciting hatred. Personal details are posted online. At the meetings, we’ve had activists arrive with their faces covered, shouting and swearing at women as they arrive and leave. Some of our conversations are about domestic violence and abuse: they are now held while people outside bang drums, having sworn at the women on their way in.

The italics, mine, remind me of when I went for my abortion and there were religious people outside saying the rosary and handing out disgusting leaflets. It's done to intimidate. And it's, in my view, an act of violence, ensuring that people shut up.

nauticant · 08/03/2018 10:45

For our most recent meeting, held in London last week, we had to disclose the location only a few hours before it started, just to be safe.

The only other circumstances I recall this needing to be standard practice was for illegal raves and for proscribed political groups operating under totalitarian regimes.

lucydogz · 08/03/2018 10:46

So, the Morning Star and the Spectator cover this. The Guardian? No chance. Truly the face of today's Labour Party

Elendon · 08/03/2018 10:52

To be fair to theGuardian, the editorial doesn't like momentum or Corbyn.

Elendon · 08/03/2018 10:55

Can you imagine the outrage if your employer was contacted regarding your religious affiliations, previous medical history, your party political affiliations?

Doxxing is no different.

Guardian Women Protest at Owen Jones: “Even the Spectator is More Feminist Than Us”

AnotherTerfyNameChange · 08/03/2018 10:56

Feeling brave on International Womens Day so I posted this link publicly on my Facebook (having previously lost a number of close male friends after posting GC stuff). Let's see who reads it and agrees! Actually I seriously don't give a fuck any more who decides I'm a transphobic bigot. My family is with me, and so are lots of women I know. And we WILL be on the right side of history

Thank you Judith
And every woman out there Thanks

SweetGrapes · 08/03/2018 11:03

Does Britain First or other extreme right wing party need to hide it's venues? Or is it just us uppity females who have ideas above our station?

AnotherTerfyNameChange · 08/03/2018 11:05

It's a brave new world indeed when my recent news sources of choice are the Spectator, Times and Guido Fawkes 😳😳😳

CarefullyDrawnMap · 08/03/2018 11:05

When people like that demonstrate they normally get police protection I think.

SweetGrapes · 08/03/2018 11:09

Guardian women should get a grip or two and throw Owen Jones under the metaphorical bus. He is neither a woman nor a transexual or TIM (I think!). Why is he so invested and such a loud voice in this conversation anyway?
