Am I allowed on here with my kids both grown up? 🤔
I just wanted to say omg thank you thank you thank you SO MUCH for your support for the crowdfunder to keep Labour all-women shortlists just for... err... women. £22,000 now and my sisters here booted it into the mainstream.
Anyway will check back in case anyone has questions.
You Are Mighty
Jen 😘😘😘

Hey Jen. Thanks for the fundraiser! I donated and am clinging on as a Labour member. Unsure for how long though. We all have our lines in the sand and I think possibly criminal misuse of member data might just be mine.

CallMeAstroTerf · 07/02/2018 08:21

Morning Jen!
Thank you for all youre doing to raise awareness of what the country seems to bd sleepwalking into.

I had good Canadian friends who have now shunned me since I started questioning "transwomen are women" and who tell me how peachy everything is in Canada now that they have made everyone so equal Hmm

Hoping to get to the Lewisham meeting next month and maybe the WPUK London meet too. Hope to see you in action soon!
Have a great day GinCake

AngryAttackKittens · 07/02/2018 08:24

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for kicking this off. Someone had to do it, but a lot of people would have thought "well why can't it be someone else?", so thanks for being the one to stick your neck out. The ball is rolling now, and it's getting harder and harder for the parties, media, etc to pretend that it's just a tiny coven of radfem witches who're not onboard with this crap.

(I mean, that wouldn't be a bad description of me and my nearest and dearest, but we're not alone in seeing through the bullshit.)

CallMeAstroTerf · 07/02/2018 08:24

Also, theres a MN meet up on the 17th March. Anyone on this board keen to go? See this thread or DM SweetBabyJebus for details

*Tips:

  1. Don't take any shit
  2. Know your facts and your arguments inside out
  3. Have a double jack and coke before you go in
  4. Don't take any shit
  5. Stay calm and polite
  6. Repeat no. 1*

I think that should be every woman’s mantra for life in general!

Thank you Jennifer for putting your head above the parapet. You’ll always have lots of supporters on MN!
Do you know when your case will go ahead? Will it take forever to be heard?

GuardianLions · 07/02/2018 08:26

Good morning Jennifer. You are such an inspiration.

Seeing your twitter with your name and public, identifiable role - with your fearless, open challenges of the trans agenda has really moved this to the mainstream- most people (such as me) do it anonymously or, have less direct danger to their jobs/role (still get their employer hounded), or skirt round the issue and say 0.5% of what they actually mean such as "transwomen are transwomen".

You moved the window of what was possible by taking that risk and it has really helped to alleviate some of my fears.

So thanks

I knew it was only a matter of time before you were suspended - but you didn't go quietly and it has only highlighted very publicly what happens when people challenge. No one is in doubt. You made the documents public.

You have amazing courage and energy. Let's keep it up together!

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 07/02/2018 08:29

thanks, Jen, for the opportunity to say this is a load of crap without losing my job

And thanks for what you're doing Star

OvaHere · 07/02/2018 08:31

Welcome Jen

Thanks for having the courage to start the fundraiser. It is so motivating to see how many people are outraged about AWS (and no doubt many other things).

It's really important that the politicians realise this is women as a class (and some men) who are unhappy about self ID and not a niche bunch of meanies.

I work with young people and I can’t describe to you the unholy mess that this intersectional liberal feminism shite has made in schools

^^
This.

BetsyM00 · 07/02/2018 08:57

Good to see you here Jennifer!

I'm delighted you took a stand we can all get behind and support. Just a question about what happens now - is there an internal procedure to be completed before any legal action? Does Labour have to give a decision in writing and we appeal it first? Or is it enough that Corbyn said self-id during a TV interview? Hmm

Stuffofawesome · 07/02/2018 09:03

thank you Jennifer, you are indeed mighty. My heart sinks when I hear labour politicians crap on about self ID. Wake up FFS. Even WEP don't protect the notion of women as a sex so who the hell is going to stand up for women's rights? Utter omnishambles. Keep up the good work, you might be out on a limb but we're all shoring you up from underneath.

Datun · 07/02/2018 09:28

The day you started that crowd funder was a tipping point.

Because £22,000 has been raised by people donating a few pounds at a time. Waiting for payday, then doing it again. And again.

Normal, every day women. Who don't have to understand feminist theory, or politics, the only expertise they need is that they are female.

And the only thing that our political parties need to know, is that we vote.

Women are not going to vote their rights away.

But it's fairly typical for men to think they can coerce them into doing it.

Thanks for having the guts, which should not even be necessary, to say no.

SmurfOrTerf · 07/02/2018 09:34

Adding my support

DontCisgenderMe · 07/02/2018 10:15

Hi Jennifer, another donor here adding my heartfelt thanks.

Great to see you on here.

We will not be silenced!

FedUpWithBriiiiiick · 07/02/2018 10:29

Is this the real Jennifer? Posting style seems... strange.

Please be cautious about providing any personal info, not everyone is who they say they are...

Yeah womenZ, hon, babe...? And posting an email address?

Careful people... Use Twitter if you want to contact JJ - you know it's genuine.

OvaHere · 07/02/2018 10:57

Yes this is always important but I do think the OP is JJ, I've followed her social media and her posts ring true.

I'm sure it would be very easy for JJ to verify with MNHQ which perhaps would be a good idea.

titchy · 07/02/2018 11:00

Maybe OP could post something on her Twitter, but post here half an hour before hand?

OvaHere · 07/02/2018 11:02

I've reported and asked MNHQ to verify. I don't want JJ, assuming she is genuine, to feel unwelcome and the thread turn into a fight.

Don't worry about people being cautious, Jennifer - in the past we have had some horrendous trolls on here - pretending to be who they are not - to emotional and financially fleece people.

I'm not for a second suggesting you are doing that, or that you are not Jennifer - just don't be offended that people are wary Smile

You are most welcome here.

TheNerevarine · 07/02/2018 11:54

Hypothetically speaking, on the off-chance that the OP is a troll and someone were to provide them with details of their name and LP number, and then found themselves on The List, exactly how much shit would the creators of The List be in if those details couldn't have been obtained in any other way, except through a deliberate attempt to mislead?

You know, hypothetically speaking. On a scale of 1 to 10? 'Cause thinking about it, I suspect the ICO would take a very very dim view of that behaviour, and if I was more of a Machievellian type I might suggest someone could, oh I don't know, join Labour deliberately and somehow whoops! let them get hold of their details in a way that means usage of those details would be a clear and deliberate violation of data protection laws. Would be an interesting experiment, no? Smile

But yes, welcome, Jennifer

Ohforfoxsakereturns · 07/02/2018 12:33

Eww what if it’s not JJ and is infact LM 😄 oh how we’ll laugh! (Obviously isn’t BTW)

(I sincerely hope it is JJ as absolutely support the AWS fund despite it rejecting all the donations I’ve attempted to make).
