I just wanted to say omg thank you thank you thank you SO MUCH for your support for the crowdfunder to keep Labour all-women shortlists just for... err... women. £22,000 now and my sisters here booted it into the mainstream.

Oh mate I hear ya. Keep going hopefully a Corbyn gov't not too far away and things will improve for you. I was a single mum for most of it- no picnic.

I work with an older bloke who is an active Labour member, campaigning and the like.

We were chatting in the staff room and he said something like "Well you should sign up, we need women like you on board" and I had to say "Actually, I've only just cancelled my membership" - looooong conversation ensued.

Anyhow (tl;dr) his parting comment was "What a load of absolute bollocks, that's not Labour, I'll be bringing this up and the next meeting, mark my words"

It's a hard one to get through, we all reflexively want to help the marginalised. But this one comes down to:
Our safety and representation matters more than yr need for validation.

Morning! I’ve been up since 4:45, couldn’t sleep as I have neck pain and I’m sure someone swapped my pillows for rocks! Well done Jen, keep up the good work, Trans rights should never come at the downfall of women’s rights.

I've said it a few times on here, but it's important to remember that being gender critical and resisting the transactivists is helping the marginalised.

• lesbians who are being pressured into accepting the lady dick

• gender non conforming young people whose issues with gender may stem from autism or sexual abuse, or of growing up in homophobic households

- women who want to be able to compete in their sports without men charging in a beating them - women and girls who don't want males changing in their changing rooms, their hospital wards or performing their intimate exams.

All vulnerable groups that I want to carry on sticking up for. Aggressive males, not so much.

I'm not into politics, but safe spaces for women is something I feel very strongly about. What would be the most straight forward way of letting my opinion be known?

I've finally joined the Labour Party. I was considering it for a while, but this was the push I needed. I know some of the LP campaigners round here a little bit, and I suspect they don't really know the full implications of self-ID.

I'm not brave at all... can't get in a lift or on a plane... TERRIFIED!!! 😬😂😬
