Posted a whole thing on the last thread and it was locked!

Here's my post replying to Moth
Thats an interesting article moth. Best not on the board or MRAs would be all over it!
I was wondering today, hopefully, if the news about darts getting rid of the girls means the overton window is shifting and maybe p0rn will become less acceptable?
If not all this hooha about F1 girls and the presidents club is just tinkering on the edges.

Very exciting

But we want to do it properly

So its going to take bloomin ages!!

Writersblock2 · 14/02/2018 18:33

Just tentatively popping my head around the door and hoping it’s not like the pub I went into in the depths of the west country, a day before my wedding last month. League of Gentlemen sprung to mind! I should add that I live down here so I’m not being anti-Cornwall. It really was frightening!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I’ve been reading this forum for a few months now and I just wanted to say how amazing you all are. Pre-Mumsnet, the only rad fem space I knew was Feminist Current (which I love). It’s truly heartening to see so many articulate, smart women speaking out.

I’m sick and off work, so I’ll have a double of whatever will be the most paralletic. Thanks. ;)

Hi WritersBlock2 welcome along. Hope you feel better soon.

Must look up Feminist Current...

So, that JJ thread. Blimey! Someone needs to take a well earned break.

BeUpStanding · 15/02/2018 20:33

Some excellent thinking and planning going on there from MNers though...

QuentinSummers · 15/02/2018 20:42

It's totally bizarre isn't it? I'm hiding from the rest of the board. It's scary out there at the moment!

Dh choice Hmm

BeUpStanding · 15/02/2018 20:55

Ooh good suggestion Tallulah! Perfect viewing, thanks

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/02/2018 10:54

There seems to be a bit of an airing of dirty laundry and infighting going on on FWR - I'm not sure this is for the best given that we are monitored by TMW.

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 10:56

Maybe report the individual posts?

Riverside2 · 16/02/2018 10:57

My impression of most of MN the last couple of days - WTAF?!!

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 10:58

Do you think they break guide lines?

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 10:59

Could it be an influx of people who are new to mn and don't get the etiquette?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/02/2018 11:01

Some of them may be prejudicial to a particular trial ... others are just ill-advised. People are talking about the sorts of stuff that should only be discussed in private I think. This particularly concerns JJ, the Labour Party and Corbyn, but also VA and the protest at the trial.

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 11:01

TMW... I don't know the acronym...

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 11:03

I think it was a mistake to pull the thread about the outcome of the hearing - that could have been an opportunity to flesh out what is and isn't wise discussion at this point.

Riverside2 · 16/02/2018 11:05

hearing? Is that something that took place on Monday?

Ironically I think it's all gone mad and I don't know what threads have been taken down Grin

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 11:09

Yesterday at the magistrates. JJ posted a neutral/factual statement of the outcome. Defendent pleaded not guilty, therefore it will go to trial.
Everyone bricked it, saying we shouldn't discuss case so as not to prejudice outcome. MN pulled and in so doing of course left everyone else uninformed and free to unwisely yak on other threads.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/02/2018 11:14

TMW... I don't know the acronym...

Trans Media Watch.

I missed the first thread.

BeUpStanding · 16/02/2018 11:16

The Spectator article seems to have brought even more attention here. That said, I'm a relatively inhabitant of FWR myself - have been on MN since 2011 and would regularly take a peek in FWR but was generally too intimidated to post. Having #peaktransed a few months ago though I now practically live here Grin.

It would be great to start meeting up in RL. I'll be at the London Women's Place event and hope to see some of you there! So much to talk about...

GuardianLions · 16/02/2018 11:17

Thanks
It was so quick you'd have missed it if you blinked.

Riverside2 · 16/02/2018 11:22

oh I didn't know there was anything yesterday, I only knew about a Monday thing....unless that got delayed till yesterday....very confusing.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/02/2018 11:23

Is this a good place to ask for a pointer to a nice, clear explanation of Corbyn's anti-semitism? I am honestly struggling with understanding this. I don't mean someone posting an explanation here. I'm looking for a pointer to a good external source that I can understand that is evidence-based.
