WHY do so many (it seems) men hate and fear women?

I was thinking about this the other day. Women earn less, get killed more, are objectified blah blah we all know the stats. They are real stats, the facts are that women have it worse. So why do men fear and hate them so much that they can't bear it pointed out? The "ball-breaking" language of the 70s continues in a different form. BUT WHY?

I was a male as a child (see profile!) and had a very unhappy childhood as I knew from a very young age that I should have been born female. I didn't fear women, I longed to be one! I was picked on because I was different and the only people who were kind to me on the whole were girls. I can't understand why men have a fear of women although I see why some men fear me particularly if they find me attractive because it brings confusion etc etc.
I love and respect women, not in a sexual way but purely because it's what I longed to be and now am!
