Feminist NY Resolutions (totally stolen from S&B but who cares?)

1. Enroll on MA which will include some aspect of Womens/Gender Studies
2. Stop feeling guilty whenever I spend money on myself
3. Keep pushing myself to be financially independent
4. STOP COOKING DINNER EVERY NIGHT

Def no uniform. I've had hair down my back and shorter than most men I know and felt no different every time, except neater when it was short.

Oh, I don't think there's a feminist uniform. But we do associate long hair with femininity, and so when I wanted to cut all my hair off I had to get rid of the patriarchal gremlins on my shoulder saying "but you'll look gross and butch and urgh" - and it was fun to be able to reply with "So? Hair grows back. And whose hair is it anyway?" - and then get the clippers out. And then realise that, wow, I look AMAZING with long hair! [modesty emoticon]
I'm all for femininity. I am NOT all for compulsory femininity for all females.

lol, that was a typeo yes, that makes me laugh too! Actually, it had been a newsreadery chin-length bob for about 20 years, and now it's shorter, no longer buzz short but short still. And that is the style that makes me look AMAZING.... ahem. More tea for me. And more modesty
