Hello

Been saying for ages that it'd be nice to have an area for just saying hi, letting off some steam and sharing the little things that don't warrant a whole thread.

So, I'll start...

My brother made me :o:o:o last night when we were talking about some crap sexist song. And he said (in all honesty) - well this is just one of the millions of ways the patriarchy keeps itself going.

Also got the updated email from the Feminism in London conference this morning - can't wait.

Anyone else?

Bloody JR is back on the Raab thread......

alexpolismum · 15/02/2011 08:50

just changing the subject.

You may remember a few weeks ago I posted about a rude junior doctor doing his best to ignore me? Well, I was at the practice this morning and he was not there. I didn't think anything of it, but the secretary/receptionist said to me "Didn't you see Dr X? Well, I'm glad to see the back of him! He treated me like a skivvy! He won't be coming back, and it serves him right!"

It turns out that one too many complaints was made about him. Perhaps I should have added my voice after all...

Alex was that the one who talked to you through your dp? I wonder what happened?

AgeingGrace · 15/02/2011 13:36

I take your points about Man = men and Jerry being the mouse! Thanks for replying; I should engage all gears before typing Blush

Grin It must be like swimming upstream for DH: there he is doing his best to raise our kids all gender neutral and I keep stepping on his toes.

lol, that was random.
I went to stay with my eighty year old grandma a few years ago. I woke up one morning to find her moving the furniture around, including the fridge. She wasn't having a breakdown, just a spring clean. BUt she has got a million kids so moving furniture is a walk in the park for her I suppose.

I reported for repeated derailing, not sure how effective it is. Others on the dog thread in parenting have reported as well.

Evening all Smile

Dog thread?

HandDivedScallopsrgreat · 16/02/2011 19:13

Insane dog thread

One of the posters misspelt invision's name as invasion which I thought was quite appropriate!

giyadas · 16/02/2011 20:25

I know I should rise above it but there's another MRA on the changing rooms thread.
He claims that men are at risk of arrest on the say so of any woman who feels like walking through the mens changing room Grin
Oh to actually have the power he believes we have....

SardineQueen · 16/02/2011 20:33

Thanks for the link scallops!

He will find the page3 thread shortly I guess...
