Gave oral two days ago and now sick?

I was intimate with someone for the first time since we started dating, there was a few red flags but it just happened, since I gave oral (sorry tmi) I was in contact with his semen and I had a sore throat, my lips swelled a bit and felt tingly so I thought it's probably a reaction to the semen, this was three days ago now. Yesterday I had a sore throat and this is a telltale sign I am getting sick so thought I was coming down with a virus or something, today I have woken up to painful swallowing, tight throat and left side HUGE tonsil which does not look like it has pus on...it just looks really red and inflamed. As this was only three days ago it's way too early to be an sti, right? I want to contact the doctor when they open today but my mind is going into overdrive and I don't want to mention about sti because they will just send me to the clinic (rightfully so) however it is a nightmare to get any appointments here, they go within literal seconds on the website, plus it was a few days ago...the guy did tell me aswell that he hasn't been well recently said he had a temp and things and just felt off but feels much better now as I confirmed before meeting as I did not want to get sick. Well, happy days!

Did you snog him? You could possibly have caught a standard illness in s more conventional manner...?

Can you just treat with paracetamol and fluids and rest and see if you get better naturally? If you're still showing symptoms in a few days maybe consider a GUM clinic who are, in sure, very used to swabbing throats as well as genitalia.

Can you just treat with paracetamol and fluids and rest and see if you get better naturally? If you're still showing symptoms in a few days maybe consider a GUM clinic who are, in sure, very used to swabbing throats as well as genitalia.

Yes I did, oh ok I'm unsure of standard procedure, I thought tonsilitis had to be treated with anti biotics, I have took ibuprofen but I can't even sleep my throat feels awful.

But having seen the dozens of other threads you have started about your health - from pancreatic cancer to IBS to heart palpitations to thrush and so on. And on. I am guessing this is more about your health anxiety than anything else

None of those issues were health anxiety, each one has been diagnosed by a health professional. I suffer with persistent thrush, I had a reaction to fluconazole and I do have suspected gallstones again confirmed by a few health professionals I'm just waiting on a scan. Today, my tonsils are swollen and I was intimate a few days ago, it is a very valid concern.

Well I have your symptoms and haven’t had a penis in my mouth. It’s a virus or tonsillitis from snogging/ general close contact with other humans

Does tonsilitis affect one tonsil? Because my right side is fine but my left tonsil is actually massive it hurts to even talk

Sounds like tonsilitis to me, mine always starts in 1 tonsil and is agony. Shine the light from your phone in your mouth and see if there are any white patches. I always need antibiotics for mine

There is two white ulcerated marks on it

Sounds like tonsilitis to me, the pus starts off looking like mouth users a bit 🤢 I'd book to see your gp or go to a walk in for antibiotics

Thanks contacted doctor who basically got in touch within a few minutes. They asked a few questions like how bad the pain is and if I have a temp, which I don't but I keep feeling hot and cold so did say that. sent a pic so just waiting for them to get back to me

You have tonsillitis. As far as I’m aware you don’t get it from sucking dicks. It’s a coincidence. Hopefully doctor will prescribe some antibiotics and you’ll be fine in a few days.

Yeah I just wasn't sure...it was very close in the timeframe. Doctor isn't going to prescribe anti biotics, she said the image does not look bacterial and said it should ease within 10 days

I'm so frustrated, my temp is 39C, I have crazy shakes and body aches but my tonsil still looks the same from earlier

I get tonsillitis whenever I kiss someone new - which makes it sound like I do it all the time but it's the opposite so my immune system isn't used to it and immediately plays up!

Lol I realise how silly it sounds now but yes, I have contacted the doctor and they said it sounds like I need to be seen in person but physically cannot even move from bed 🥲 I have contacted 111 as they have no appointments and told me to call them, waiting to hear back now
