Gave oral two days ago and now sick?

I was intimate with someone for the first time since we started dating, there was a few red flags but it just happened, since I gave oral (sorry tmi) I was in contact with his semen and I had a sore throat, my lips swelled a bit and felt tingly so I thought it's probably a reaction to the semen, this was three days ago now. Yesterday I had a sore throat and this is a telltale sign I am getting sick so thought I was coming down with a virus or something, today I have woken up to painful swallowing, tight throat and left side HUGE tonsil which does not look like it has pus on...it just looks really red and inflamed. As this was only three days ago it's way too early to be an sti, right? I want to contact the doctor when they open today but my mind is going into overdrive and I don't want to mention about sti because they will just send me to the clinic (rightfully so) however it is a nightmare to get any appointments here, they go within literal seconds on the website, plus it was a few days ago...the guy did tell me aswell that he hasn't been well recently said he had a temp and things and just felt off but feels much better now as I confirmed before meeting as I did not want to get sick. Well, happy days!

I started to feel better Friday and felt pretty much normal yesterday and now today I've woken up with swollen lymph nodes tender to tech all over my neck and face and feel generally unwell and weak where as yesterday I was fine! Does this mean the anti biotics are not working?

Are you still taking them? Some people stop when they start feeling better. If you are still taking them you may need a different antibiotic. If it was me and could cope with symptoms I'd probably give it till Monday to see if it wasn't just a brief relapse. I had this happen once, but with a sinus infection. I'd seen a different GP the first time then got into my regular GP and he said they'd given me the wrong antibiotic, he prescribed a new one and gave me a repeat just in case I needed it longer. The new antibiotic worked a lot better and fast, didn't need the repeat. I've had a few lots of tonsilitis as well as sinus infections over the years, I've always needed antibiotics to clear them away.

Yes I am still taking the anti biotics, I have a fair amount left... about 6 days left, they put me on a two week course. It's just my neck and face that is worrying me, it's so so sore to touch out of nowhere! it feels like I've pulled muscle all over my face and neck and I also feel like I've took two steps back in regards to being able to do things, I feel bed bound again. My tonsil is still enlarged but there's no pus on it anymore and I don't have a fever as I did before

It is not health anxiety here, I actually have tonsillitis. from when I went doctors when I thought only one was enlarged both actually were and covered in pus. So please, stop saying I have 'health anxiety' when this is very real and I am on anti biotics for it. I wanted to see if anyone experienced this before that is why I posted it as my symptoms are back WHILST I am on anti biotics. I feel like people who write this is such a way to ridicule how someone is feeling by saying it is just 'health anxiety' and even if it was, so what? It's just bullying.

Not commenting on the OP specifically but yes, replying, exploring problems and reasuring posters with health anxiety only perperuates their issues.

I agree. I know someone similar who constantly posts on social media about her many ailments. The more people who reply, the more she posts. Infuriates me tbh. Maybe I'm just some sort of medical marvel, but I still managed to get on with life with tonsillitis, as did the 5 yo and 10yo I both know who actually had theirs removed in recent months without magically becoming bedbound. But hey ho, that could just be something in the water in my area.
