Hi thanks for the NHS app top tip - looks great! Congratulations on getting out for some exercise caterpiller. I took the dog in a fast-ish walk up hill this afternoon and will be walking to and from work for the next 3 days (about half hour each way). Would love to have a go at running but maybe I'll wait until the nights are a bit lighter (hopefully I will be too 🤞🤔)

Anyone else find they just want to rebel against themselves? I'm terrible for this, I react so badly to being told what to do, even by myself and for my own good, that I wanted to eat everything not nailed down today. But I fought all urges and while my intake might not have been the most balanced, I kept within my 1400 cals on my fitness pal and I had two long dog walks (one with lots of hills and steps). I'm also going to try to stick with an 8/16 eating plan so I don't eat biscuits on the couch in the evening. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I'm entering calories into that NHS app for the first time ever. It's keeping me on track and helping me be more conscious of portion sizes.

Carpediem15 · 16/02/2022 14:42

I am in although I don't have scales - will use my tight jeans as I got rid of my scales when they disappointed my and I got a bit fixated on the numbers.

Thighdentitycrisis · 16/02/2022 14:59

I’m 9st 13
Not quite my heaviest but getting close
My ideal weight is 9 - 9st 7

I really want to run but not allowed! I’m feeling very flabby. I’m going to look at the nhs app. Used MyFitnessPal before to count calories but it’s a huge faff

User48751490 · 16/02/2022 20:06

Around 12st 8lbs last time I checked...but scales are out of battery power so going to use waist measurement as an alternative way to check progress. Thank goodness for tape measures!

Got at least one stone to lose.

Well done everyone for making the first move and I love the recommendation of the NHS weight loss app. I like that it's making me accountable.

I'm in! I've already lost 1.5 stone on keto but still a good bit to go yet. I've been breastfeeding my twins for 2 years and I've ballooned Confused I weigh just over 12.5 stone now. The reason I say just over is because my scales don't seem to be very accurate! Any recommendations for a decent set?

caterpiller2 · 18/02/2022 09:05

I would def get down digital as these are precise . I would pay around 30 pounds for a decent pair .

I'm going to have Friday as my weigh in day as I know that works better for me. Today I'm 81.6kg so down 1.5kg - whoop! I know most of that's shock to the system weight but a good start especially since I lost the run of myself completely and ate an entire pack of chocolate biscuits yesterdayBlush. I had a small bowl of cornflakes for dinner to compensate. First step is sticking to my calorie range, next is better choices.

caterpiller2 · 18/02/2022 15:26

I feel hungry today guys like I could eat everything in sight 😱😱😱😱

Pucarbuile · 18/02/2022 15:35

Have you tried peppermint tea, Carterpillar? I find it's better than water to stop me feeling hungry.

caterpiller2 · 18/02/2022 19:13

I haven't got any but will def give it a go thank you 🙏🏽

Is it too late to join? I'm 9 stone 9 but would like to be between 8 stone 10 and 9 stone. I was 11 stone after my last baby and it's been slow to come off this time. My BMI is normal but I think it's the top end of normal so I'd like to bring it down alittle more if I can. I'll weigh a Friday each week. Smile

caterpiller2 · 18/02/2022 19:35

Great we can all support each other

Sexnotgender · 19/02/2022 16:35

Never too late to join!

Sexnotgender · 20/02/2022 13:37

Had a sneaky weigh in this morning. Scales are moving in the right direction. Hopefully still there tomorrow morning on weigh in.

Sexnotgender · 21/02/2022 07:47

Down from 10st 2.2 to 10st 1.6 so not a massive loss but in the right direction.

Thighdentitycrisis · 21/02/2022 08:20

Good morning fat fighters

9st 11 today. I have lost 2lb ! Not sure how but very happy with it. Anyone else?

Rupertpenrysmistress · 21/02/2022 08:44

itstimeforme · 21/02/2022 08:48

Sexnotgender · 21/02/2022 08:50

Well done everyone!! Great start.

Okla · 21/02/2022 19:15

So happy with that NHS app, counting calories has really kept me in check! Making really good progress so I'm happy. Thanks for this thread, without it I'd still be eating tons of chocolate crisps!
