I am in SO much pain. Iv never been in so much pain. I’m shivering, my groin aches, I’m freezing, I have about 20 blisters, some are liquidy and some have gone white. I originally thought it was thrush but obviously not..

I can’t wee, can’t walk, can’t sit, can’t close my legs.

I started anti viral meds yesterday but they seem to be constantly popping up and I feel like Iv got one coming at the side of my mouth now too!
I’m on codeine as well. Which is slightly helping until it doesn’t.

I’m so so so upset.
I can’t even wee in the shower because it stings so much. On day 3 now.

Thank you. It’s deffo herpes lol there’s literally nothing else it could be. I have all the classic symptoms;

Itching at first (thought it was thrush as I was on antibiotics!)
Spots/blisters
Feeling like I had the flu
Pain when weeing, walking, sitting
Ulcers popping and leaking a lot of liquid and even more pain

They are starting to heal now but a couple at the opening that are raw still and she swabbed those. Said they should be healed soon though

I’m just struggling with the nerve pain now. My legs ache so much and my bum cheeks. When I sit on the loo it hurts so much! Like the cold. I have tingling in my hood area. She said it’s normal because it lives in the nerves and it’s “bedding in”.
She gave me some numbing stuff but it doesn’t really do anything? Lol

This was the main one, but as you can see it’s starting to heal abit. It’s still sore though

It looks like it's starting to crust and flake so fingers crossed it's on its way out now.

Slavetolove · 12/02/2022 12:04

can you get pain killers for muscle/nerve pain? My legs and privates hurt so much. Like ache constantly and I can’t really walk far because it hurts SO much :(

I don't think any painkiller can target a particular type of pain (despite what its marketing might claim) - it's probably a case of trial and error as to what provides the best relief. Did the clinic suggest anything? Personally I find ibuprofen the most effective one for muscular pain as it's a strong anti-inflammatory.

ClariceQuiff · 12/02/2022 12:30

Also, it's OK to take paracetamol alongside ibuprofen or aspirin - but not aspirin and ibuprofen together.

Yes but not over the counter.

Yes. Ask your GP about Pregabalin or Gabapentin. They are both supposed to target nerve pain.

Have you already been prescribed Tramadol as a general pain killer? If not, get that one too. You can take it alongside either of the other two.

Thanks all, will ring the doctors in the morning. Because it’s still so swollen down there my scar looks awful and not fully healed. There’s still abit off a hole that I didn’t realise until now! It’s very close to my anus! I might have to get it looked at actually.

Iv had such bad “period” type pains the last few days but I’m not due on :(

Germoleine is your friend as it has a local anaesthetic.

LadyLolaRuben · 15/02/2022 13:19

Hi OP, your photos look like you're really sore. How are you getting on?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 15/02/2022 15:45

Hoping you're feeling a bit better now?

RB68 · 15/02/2022 22:39

I too had a horrendous time of it the first time and GP said it was the worst she had ever seen (and asked me how on earth it got so ad!! What a stupid Q) I think it was a gift from my cheating ex, but it came out alot later when my immune system was battered. gentle cooler baths with oatmeal (put oats in an old sock or tights or muslinif you have any and tie to tap when running bath. I used sudocrem on the worst bits - Germolene oitment is too harsh but the cream might be OK but its not really the right thing for such sore open wounds - fine for scratched knee but not this sort of pain in my view (believe me tried all sorts) and ibuprofen. You can have sores inside as well so that may account for cramp like pains. Eat to keep your stools soft and drink to dilute urine and wee in bath water - I was having two or three mini baths a day to go for a wee at one point. I was so bad with pain I couldn't straighten up from the loo(that was point I went to GP to be honest). I too thought was thrush.

Hope its easing off for you. Seriously clean up your diet and health stuff it really helps longer term (if its needed) take supplements to improve immune system and your partner should get looked at as well - it presents very differently in men on genitals - often just a red spot

RB68 · 15/02/2022 22:41

oh and try an icepacked damp facecloth to take some of the swelling down

Slavetolove · 16/02/2022 08:13

Thank you!

The sores have gone but I’m still having issues. My vagina is so sore and swollen still. I’m struggling to even sit as it aches so much. Feels like when I was healing from my epsiotomy!!

I have leg and hip pain too.

Doctor has given me some nerve painkillers and just waiting for them to work!

It hurts so much lol

Plus I’m struggling to wee. I’m weeing but I’m not sure if I have a uti? I feel like I really need to wee but not much comes out :(

So fed up! Going London tomorrow but not sure how I’m going to manage lol

Doesn't sound like you should be going anywhere at the moment. You poor thing.

Slavetolove · 16/02/2022 12:02

It really doesn’t look right down there, like my scar has came open? Is that possible after 10 years? Or am I being paranoid. It’s such a mess down there anyway :(

How are you feeling OP?

houserenohelp · 05/03/2022 06:54

Morning sorry for jumping on this post

I have herpes got properly diagnosed 2020.
I do t remember having a big first flare but it could have been a while ago, assume I got it from my cheating abusive ex

Family of cold sore sufferers too so that's also a possibility

Anyway

I take or was taking lysine daily and that def helps hadn't had a cold sore for ages and if I started to feel a tingle I started taking it again.

Thing is I can never tell if I am having a flare up or if it's thrush.

So last 7 days I have been incredibly itchy so itchy I could gauge my lady bits off! No apparent sores tho the lab is so sensitive hot and itchy.
Is this a flare up?
I though thrush cause of the itch but no difference after taking thrush pill.
I got some cream from the herpes Uk website that has helped but it's nearly all gone and I think more beneficial for sores as has lemon balm in it

I guess I just wanted others experience on what a flare up feels like

I am worried as ttc and don't want my baby at risk
