Cancerous Tumour??

Bella198567 · 19/12/2021 03:41

Hello, wondering has anyone experienced a red congested cervix highly suspicious of malignancy?
Waiting for the biopsy results
Normal Pap smear in feb last year and normal ultrasounds until now!
This has come on suddenly bleeding everyday, my oncologist is certain is 99 percent a cancerous tumour which was never picked up even though I had an internal ultrasound done last month
Has anyone experienced this?

@HP79
Thank you for all of your handy tips you have been such great help!
Yes the ankles they hurt but more the burning sensation especially in one of my legs
I'm taking quiet a bit of HRT
Patch, cream and progrestrone tablet for sleep
Not to mention the weight gain just needs doubling 😬
Hopefully soon to be NED the whole thing still feels like a dream
Scariest experience I've ever lived through
Did you feel like you made lots of changes after your treatment? I have made some major life changes work, friendships
I think it changes your whole outlook.

@Bella198567

Good for you on the positive life changes! I probably should've done the same... but didn't. I think it does change the outlook on life for most people, but I've just gone back to how I was before.

I hear you on the weight gain! I piled on a few stone after my surgery and have failed to shift it. I can't really blame anything other than my pure gluttony and inertia, though! Wink

The burning sensation in your leg... have you spoken to anyone about your risk of lymphoedema? If not, please do urgently check that it's nothing to do with that. It's a condition which benefits from early diagnosis/management. Fingers crossed that it's not lymphoedema, but it's better to check.

Bella198567 · 13/06/2022 10:51

Thanks I just made an appointment so will check it out I have done a bit of research I'm hoping it's not that, another thing on my list!
Our bodies go through so many changes after treatment it's like I'm looking at a different person
Strange feeling.
Happy to be alive and be present for my son though.

@Bella198567
How are you getting on? Any news? Hope all is well.

Bella198567 · 11/07/2022 01:03

Goodmorning @HP79 Thank you so much for checking in!
I'm feeling good, how are you?
So the pain I was feeling turned out to be mild arthritis in my spine as confirmed by a CT scan

No pain lately which is great the doctors have just told me to take some vitamins and go for walks
I'm assuming this has happened due to the radiation? Hard to tell really....

OP posts:
HP79 · 11/07/2022 01:09

Arthritis?! Blimey, it never rains, but it pours. At least it seems to be a manageable condition. That's something. I've never heard of radiotherapy causing arthritis but I'm no expert and I'm sure it causes all sorts of problems. As long as you're feeling ok in yourself now and currently pain-free, happy days!

Bella198567 · 11/07/2022 02:42

@HP79 Tell me about it one thing after the other!!!
8 weeks until my big pet scan it's getting closer and closer 😬

That's lovely to hear. I have all my fingers crossed for you!

Bella198567 · 06/08/2022 09:32

Thanks so much @PonyPals
4 weeks to go.. slowly starting to get nervous now I don't think I'll have an ounce of sleep once I'm closer to the date.
So far everything looks positive so just hoping it stays that way 😔

OP posts:
PonyPals · 06/08/2022 12:42

I know it's easy for me to say but try not to think about it. All signs are positive at the moment. Just keep thinking you will be fine Flowers

Bella198567 · 28/08/2022 10:57

Hi everyone!
So the countdown is on... 7 more days until I go for my 6 monthly pet scan

@Bella198567

Good luck for this week! Hopefully all will be well. Let us know how you get on. The scanxiety probably won't ever go away, but it probably will diminish over time.

SouperNoodle · 30/08/2022 00:04

Good luck! Xx

Capricornandproud · 30/08/2022 00:18

Just reading through your thread OP and sending all the very best of luck for a weeks’ time. You’ve - all of you - been so brave!!!

Bella198567 · 05/09/2022 11:07

So I had my PET scan this morning and I forgot how petrifying they are as I'm severely claustrophobic! However I got through it! Now the waiting game. Wednesday couldn't come quick enough wish me luck xx 🤞

HP79 · 05/09/2022 23:37

@Bella198567

Well done for getting through it. Another milestone done. It's good that you'll be able to get results on Wednesday. Results seem to be much slower here in the UK. Keep us posted. Fingers massively crossed!

Capricornandproud · 06/09/2022 00:12

everything crossed for good news tomorrow OP, keep us posted. Sending up a prayer for you right now xx

I posted under a different name earlier. So pleased for you. What a relief. It’s such a wonderful feeling. I cried my eyes out in front of the doctor when I got my all clear.
