TMI - Fibroids and HUGE period blood clot

My periods have been getting heavier, and eventually a couple of scans revealed 1 have two fibroids, one inside my womb, and they're growing.

My consultant said we can watch and wait.

The last 2 months my periods had got slightly lighter. But this month is bad again. It started last Friday with a "normal" period. Then it lightened up. This afternoon it got heavier again, but it's bright red blood, not like "period" blood.

I've had a couple of large clots. Then just now I went to the loo and the BIGGEST thing you've ever seen fell out of me. It looked like raw liver. It was about 6cm long, and not all flat, but more rounded. Like a ball of liver. I've never given birth so this has to be the biggest thing that's ever come out of me. It was unreal.

What the fuck do I do?

Do I call someone? I'm really scared.

Glad it's moving Whatsgoingoneh

I'm off for a MRI on Wed next week

WhatsGoingOnEh · 22/06/2018 20:03

Good luck, @KatyMac! That's fantastic that they're taking it seriously and looking to rule out anything sinister as soon as possible.

Fingers crossed

@KatyMac How are you? How was your MRI? Thinking of you and hoping you're ok!

I've FINALLY been given a tonne of Iron tablets and feel so, so much better just after two weeks.

Seen the consultant and he's given me:

  • a new pill to slow the bleeding (starts with M);
  • the mini pill, to hopefully stop my periods, until my op;
  • a new ultrasound scan, soon;
  • a fibroid removal/ablation op, and giving me a Mirena while that's going on.

I am v v v scared of the operation, or rather of recovering from the operation, as I just can't see how having your ENTIRE WOMB LINING BURNED AWAY won't be the most painful thing ever ever ever. 😩

I've been chatting about it here so's not to diisrupt your thread any more (sorry)

I don't know if I'm being too compliant/accommodating but I hurt so much I reckon I'm prepared to do anything

WhatsGoingOnEh · 06/07/2018 13:53

I really didn't mind your talking about your issues on this thread! But it looks like you've had loads of help on your one, so - good! 😉

You're being really calm and collected. I will follow your progress. I hope the gynae appt on Monday is more helpful!

Thanks - I think our problems are quite different - I don't think you have a lot of nerve endings inside your womb (otherwise pregnancy would hurt a lot more)

Hopefully it will sort out your problems one way or another - there seem to be options
