Us - fin- what is ‘fin’ short for then think of a synonym

Peeling counter - ignore the counter but what has it been decorated with. It’s a late Victorian feminist short story.

Dog - think of a type of dog that has a country in its name eg Irish Setter and what is the dog’s job.
