Would anyone like to be part of a reading group?
I need something to encourage me to read more regularly - i absolutely love to read but seem to have put it on the back burner recently....
want to get back to enjoying it again
I anyone is interested, we could agree on a book (easier said than done, I suspect!)

SenoraPostrophe · 15/12/2003 10:08

damn - the 29th? If I order today I still may not get it till then. I'll re-join next month I think, but can we choose the book early ? (mind you the 29th would be OK if it weren't for Christmas post)

Can I join too? Will try and get the book at Waterstones on Friday. Pity, been in town most of day and just didn't check here first - might see if DH can get it before then for me.

codswallop · 15/12/2003 18:49

me

marthamoo · 15/12/2003 18:55

Can I join next month too?

Am very gripped up by current re-read of Book II of Stephen King's Gunslinger series (getting new one for Christmas and want to re-read first 4 before that).

And I have already read YaYa (really enjoyed it once I got into it).

Realistically, not going to have time to read 3.5 books before Christmas!

Definitely up for next one though!

fisil · 15/12/2003 19:11

It is 528 pages long, with 33 chapters. That's an average of 16 pages a chapter, which is fairly manageable, I reckon.

First 3 chapters is 28 pages of reading - maybe a bit short, even.

Anyway, as you can tell, I've read it, but I'd love to reread it and join in. Not saying anything more about what I think of it!

SenoraPostrophe · 15/12/2003 19:44

popsycal - thanks, but it's the post that will be the problem. Sometimes things get here quick, but there can be major delays. Maybe I'll order it anyway and start a "not finsishd yet" thread on the 29th?

popsycal · 15/12/2003 20:08

fisil - thanks for that!!
how long are the first 4 chapters????

OP posts:
Chinchilla · 15/12/2003 21:43

I have read it too. Actually, only about 4 months ago. It was good, but quite light IYKWIM.

Evansmum · 16/12/2003 18:47

Can I join too? Have been meaning to buy Ya Ya every time I've been in a bookshop recently but keep getting distracted buying for ds and Xmas pressies...

fisil · 16/12/2003 18:49

41 pages

Festivefly · 16/12/2003 18:51

oooooh not seen this before what book are you reading, or is too late to join?
