No shouting please coco!

Jack - oh dear to DH sleeping on sofa! Hope you make it up.

I haven't been able to face breakfast yet.

Off to help DS with his homework.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 23/05/2010 10:01

Good morning

Lovely day yest, feeling mite stuffed today after BBQ, banoffee pie and wine. Gonna eat like a hermit for rest of the week.

Got new dress on- feeling good in it.
Kitten went outside for 1st time yest - v cute, didn't know what to sniff first. Aww.

Paddling pool today!

Aitch · 23/05/2010 10:37

haahahahhaha at that thread mamag, thanks.
i've gone insane this weekend. must get back on track. went to a ska gig thing on friday, drank myself silly and danced like a madwoman all night, then pickanicked yesterday with gas barbie and noshed on ginger beer and sausages and BREAD. just seen photos of self... am back on wagon.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 23/05/2010 10:49

I think I may have broken a toe (yowsers)

Pushing full trolley across sainsbog's carpark on Fri, hit a pothole, trolley stopped, foot kept going, hit wheel of trolley. As I said, yowsers.

Toe is purple, swollen and a bit unbendy. Looks v nice in glad sandals. Humph.

dinkystinky · 23/05/2010 14:01

Youch Gherkin - that sounds so painful. Take it easy on that poor toe.

Jack - sorry your biffday ended in a drunken argument. Hate it when that happens. Hopefully you guys have made up now and are enjoying the sun.

Went to london zoo this morning with the DS (only place I know where the paddling pool is actually open now) which was rammed but great - boys now napping and we're off for pub lunch with SIL and BIL and my sister this afternoon. I predict a zone free meal...

DottyDot · 23/05/2010 14:08

Afternoon - can I pull up a pew?

I'm 2 weeks into writing-everything-down-in-food-diary and bizarrely it seems to be working - shames me into not eating the crap I usually would . 7lb off so far...

I've got a poshola wedding to go to in March 2011 (hey - long term planning here...) but before that, the next epiosode of shame is in 2 weeks time when we're off to Centreparcs with a friend and family. So, desperately trying to not scare everyone in swimming costume...

cyb · 23/05/2010 14:18

Mamag there are these great new things for your dh on the market called EARPLUGS

JackBauer · 23/05/2010 14:37

DH is a cunt. Apparently he is too ill to go to the park ewith his children and wife or to watch them while I go for a run.
But while I am busy for 2 minutes he is fine to disappear for hours on the fricking bike, oh yes.
Cunt.
Pardon my french.

mackerl salad for lunch.
lime nd corainder chicken for tea.
Unless I throw it at dh

However i may cut him some slack as his mum is being discharged in a wheelchair in 3 weeks and he now has to help fil clear/rearrange/organise house to fit a hospital bed downstairs and to be able to get a wheelchair round it as she will never walk again.

Actually I am crying now.
Fuck it.

JackBauer · 23/05/2010 14:40

sorry, ignore my mad lady period pain induced rnt there

JackBauer · 23/05/2010 14:42

Ouch gherkin, stubby toe v painful, is it pokeable? maybe doc tomorrow...

'Lo dottydot, what sort of thing are you eating/not eating?
And vital stats? Cos we need to know for no real reason other than nosiness

MamaG · 23/05/2010 17:54

eek Jack hope you're ok

atich - you probably burned off any cals though with all your fancy dancing!

We went to see my sis this morning and then went swimming thi safernoon. God it was GLORIOUS, there were only 3 other folk in teh pool, unbeleivable!

BabyG LOVED it, he hates the bath and screams the house down for the duration, but the pool today was the best thing EVER apparently - he revelled in splashing around, kicking his legs and trying to pull the top of my cossie down the beast

MamaG · 23/05/2010 17:55

oh poor gherkin with broken toe

cyb HOW UNCOMFORTABLE to wear fecking earplugs in bed fgs

cyb · 23/05/2010 18:12

ok I'll sleep like a baaby in my cool rom with my windows OPEN

Coderooo · 23/05/2010 18:13

oioi guys
how are you

cariboo · 23/05/2010 18:18

Hi all - going to join you. It's so true that nothing tastes as good as being slim feels but...

My biggest problem is that I say, oh, I'll just have this (vodka/tonic, fresh warm bread with lashings of brie & parma ham, gooey homemade brownie, etc) and be "good" tomorrow. How many times have I fallen into that trap?

Anyway, am back on protein diet (started day before yesterday) as the weather is gorgeous - at last - but I look crap in my swimsuit. White, flabby, cellulite-y legs... yuck!

Coderooo · 23/05/2010 18:19

remember the feeling of being ON the scales

DottyDot · 23/05/2010 18:45

Hi Jack - I'm not eating as much crap as I used to - so no chocolate this fortnight, no biscuits and hardly any no Haribo...

Vital stats are very much HUGE at the moment - 4 stone to lose and my GP gave me Xenical the other week but I've not opened the packet - too scared that I won't be able to move more than 3 yards from a loo, so am hoping food diary and a modicum of self restraint will do the trick instead!

DottyDot · 23/05/2010 18:47

Oh and I'm drawing the curtains a few times a week and doing mortifngly embarrassing work out DVD with 'er from Brookie...

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/05/2010 18:56

Awwww jack don't be sad I don't like it when you are sad. And ouch Gherkin.

Lol at the hot weather whining already.

Welcome newbies, prepare to be yelled at.

Weekend away for me, lots of outdoor stuff, swimming, fishing and running up hills. Not too much biffing.

I need some snack tips pls. Not just fruit, other ideas.

Coderooo · 23/05/2010 19:06

oi master
is that you in the times mag today

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/05/2010 19:12

Oh god what's it about, drunken expat wives or wrinkly sun dwellers with dodgy style?

Link - I'm on the iPhone as I haven't paid mybill gave run out of Internet credit.

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/05/2010 19:30

Found it

"They speak to outsiders only via email"

JackBauer · 23/05/2010 20:10

link to article then?

Managed run just ebfore tea, bonus was that, as well as getting horribly dehydrated (I can't run with water, it puts me off!) I didn't want to eat tea, so just had some chicken to snack on, apple, and my last 2 birthday chocs.
DH still in a grump but doing typical man thing and won't tell me why, could be anything nob. Have perked up a bit, still bit sad about MIL though, she would hate this, she had a stroke 20 years ago and said that she'd rather kill herself than live like a cripple

SO anyway, onwards and upwards. Hello noobs, cariboo and dotty. I am UNDER 16 stone (just) having started at over 17 so don't be concerned by how much there is, it all comes off lb at a time. Food diary good idea.

Anyway, I have RULES for you all

YOU ARE NOT ON A DIET you are now eating differently, but it's still food. couple of weeks on nice new food and you won't miss it, I promise. I cna have 1 choc and be happy, not est them all, or a small bit of bread, and not a whole baguette.

and DRINK MORE WATER or you are all going to slow losses, water retention and dehydration are the enemy!

coolkat · 23/05/2010 20:11

Hi Ladies

Just want to thank you as you have inspired me the past few weeks when I have been lurking!!

Started at 10st 6 this morning I was 10st 1. Feeling so much better. Would like to shred a few more pounds ready for holiday! Would love to wear a bikini

cyb · 23/05/2010 20:12
