Beef stir fry for tea, no biffage.
3 pickled onions and 3 seafood sticks as snakcs (yum)

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 05/05/2010 19:47

Mag party, where everyone brings in odl copies of Heat, Grzia and OK and cut out articles to swap?

Aitch · 05/05/2010 19:48

happy birthday bobbie, hope you're enjoying yourself.

what happened to secondary dp thread, did it kick off? have been out all day being a parent etc blah blah.

pointydog · 05/05/2010 19:51

happy birthday bobs

NomDePlume · 05/05/2010 19:51

Hair is as expected rilly. Darker and more artificial than is normally seen as a Good Thing, I think. Anyway, it'll calm down in a few days and I'll get used to my new more Morticia-esque image and all will be well.

Just had a muscular discussion with DH at the dinner table about our individual voting intentions tomorrow (we are not in agreement there, quelle surprise). The kids were . DD thought that if Gordo stayed at no10 he would 'turn up in just a tie and pants' . I have no idea what goes on in that child's mind.

DS2 just sat there looking bored with the 'rents yipping on about crap as only a 16yo can.

The debate ended with DH taking DD up to read her book and shouting (DH) "Power to the People!" in a pisstake Wolfie Smith stylee and shaking his fist. I was left ranting about the shitty mess his lot left us in last time to DS2 who still looked bemused and backed out of the kitchen.

DarrellRivers · 05/05/2010 19:51

she must have bag over head

pointydog · 05/05/2010 19:54

power to the people!

duckyfuzz · 05/05/2010 20:03

haapy birthday bobbie, well done pointy and sympathy for su

totally drained today, too much work on, not enough time but v zoney, 2 x salads, plenty of fruit and made it to the gym

will now flop

NomDePlume · 05/05/2010 20:14

[adjusts beret and socialist badges]

Su, I feel your pain. My cleaner resigned the other week so she is working her notice. I can't find a new one. Not one that I trust to a) clean properly b) not nick stuff c) not go noseying through my stuff anyway. Arseflaps.

[realises the irony of posting about socialism and then going about cleaners]

[adjusts twatometer]

NomDePlume · 05/05/2010 20:19

Top marks ducky. Well done on salad and gym combo. V zoney.

Darrell - very disciplined on the choc chunk front. I'm not sure I could have been so strong.

Shite. Talking about baking has just reminded me I'm supposed to be taking a farking homemade cake into work tomorrow for a charidee fundraiser. Shitey shite. I haven't even thought about it. I haven't got the ingredients. It's flipping twenty past eight and I'm sat here in my jimmos. Balls.

Sorry for language

EricPicklesFatNeck · 05/05/2010 20:23

so hard to find good staff these days [snorts and dons donkey jacket]

bobbiewickham · 05/05/2010 20:36

Oooh, biffed out 100%.

Had a lovely day, though.

Thanks all for good wishes.

Had most of a bottle of bubbles and a pint of cider, so am going to have a little middle aged sleep.

dinkystinky · 05/05/2010 21:09

Glad you had a good biffday Bobs

Su - god your life sounds hectic. Good luck with your party and obviously sober reading up for your case...

Nom - just buy a cake from the corner shop and pass it off as your own if need be. Seems to be what most of the parents around here do for cake sales at DS's school. Lol at the muscular discussion and the apathetic kids- one day they'll be like you and your DH arguing about all that stuff.

I am joining all the people in the zone - there were doughnuts in the kitchen and I ignored them and drank copious amounts of water instead. Hurrah.

Like the new name Duke. Do not like the Debbie McGee photos Eric - ugh.

BariatricObama · 05/05/2010 21:12

maybe we could use the debbie magee face for repulsion therapy. everytime you think of cake picture debbie eating it off pauls wee white chest.

[boaks] there it works!

SuSylvester · 05/05/2010 21:14

went to mag party
ate devils on horseback
smoked almosn
merignues
sausages
olives mmm

smallishsheep · 05/05/2010 21:16

Does anyone else suffer from goal complacency? Now I am here, have biffed for England. No doubt it makes psychological sense. Not to mention PMT issues.
Tis farmers market day tomorrow. WHich means cupcake man
Dd is off school though as building is being used as a polling station, so even if I do buy the habitual 4, there will be a maximum of 2 left for moi after the dc have thieved them.

dinkystinky · 05/05/2010 21:16

Oh dear god - I feel ill BO! Nice to have your old name back on the thread - join me in the plateau busting tank. Perhaps a quick chorus of we shall overcome?

Su - that sounds like some v retro food going on at the mag party.

duckyfuzz · 05/05/2010 21:17

confession time
glass of wine and bowl of nuts to take edge off stressy day

forgive me

pointydog · 05/05/2010 21:18

I thought that said 'smoked almost'. Was quite excited. I quite fancy a smoke sometimes but don't want to admit it.

How come there aren't any dieters' threads that go on about sucking on another cig as food avoidance technique? Would it be tolerated?

duckyfuzz · 05/05/2010 21:19

smaillish sheep I do that, congratulate myself on being good thereby undoing any goodness

pointydog · 05/05/2010 21:20

when I reach m,y target I won't give a fuck any more either

BariatricObama · 05/05/2010 21:21

pointy - no point in being slim if you smell like a tramps armpit

pointydog · 05/05/2010 21:22

yes I know smoking Not Good but sometimes I do have alittle delusional daydream

smallishsheep · 05/05/2010 21:23

But if the biff continues, I won't be target weight much longer I am refusing to weigh for a week. That is surely enough time to get rid of kitkats the weight.
