Oh yes Nom - will you be changing your name to NomdePlum?

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 21:03

ZONE THEY ARE ON FOR LIKE< 10 MINUTES

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:10

right i am going to need to find a dress for french wedding in july. i do like this although £££ but i am rather concerned that i will NOT be thin enough to carry off the back cutouts. they are in, i fear, a most unflattering spot.

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 21:18

Aitch that is a lovely lovely frock and if you like it enough you WILL be thin enough for it
#. it can be your driving force

Hi all. Not been on since this afternoon. Have a DS with a broken finger! Went out to play football after school. Said his finger hurt as we were coming home. Took to clinic. Xray. Chip off bottom and compression fracture further up. Little finger of right hand. He was fine till realised had to go to Trauma Hospital and then went into meltdown. Picked DH up on the way and off we went to other side of town. Thankfully it was fairly quiet. Saw lovely doctor. Now fingers in splint. Not a happy boy.

Didn't get back till nearly 9 so DH just did spag bol and I had the spag bit. Bad girl.

Good news is didn't eat from lunch time till 9.

Off to bed now but will be back to catch up tomorrow.

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:24

nowt wrong with spag, what would make you think that? poor show about ds's digit, hope he feels okay.

and did you look at the back cutouts, cyb? i think they might actually spoil the dress for me.

seen anything else kinda british but still chic and if poss costs less than that one and doesn't have absent upper bingo wing coverage? you must have tried on every garm in the country.

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 21:34

i think I was looking at the wrong dress. it shows you LOADS when you go onto the whistles page. Which one exactly?

ALSO have you heard the news that the UK's biggest roller coast had to stop today, with folk left hanging upside down for 20 minutes when a PONCHo got caught in the mechanism!

That made me lol

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:36

hahahahahahahaha

why are ponchos so funny?

yes i've just realised that about the site, sorry. so annoying when that happens.

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:37

www.whistles.co.uk/fcp/categorylist/dept/Dresses?resetFilters#pID=903000054851

which one were you looking at?

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:40

in fact poncho reminds me of something dd1 said the other day, i was explaining that if she continued to wind down the window and stick her hands out of it another vehicle would come and chop them off for her and then she would look really stupid in jackets. (tough love).

she, aged four, came back with the fact that she would, however, still look fantastic in a poncho.

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 21:42

Aitch - comes up as lots of different dresses for me too - if is the lilac and black one is so pretty but agree the back strip may well be of concern if you need to wear a bra or have hamsters going on. Speaking of rodents, fattymouse popped out in my living room to say hello today - aargh. Must kill this mouse soon or start charging it rent.

Loving the poncho story.

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 21:43

Aitch - I love that your DD is a fashionista at 4!

BudaisintheZONE · 04/05/2010 21:43

Aitch - I am avoiding spag and other carbs like it. Although it was whole wheat so not too bad.

Predictive text on my iPhone keeps tring to change 'Aitch' to 'witch'.

Happy dress shopping!

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:44

oh that is super annoying, i'd isolated the image and everything.

its the multicoloured red v one, towards the bottom lhs of screen on my computer. sherbert spray something or other.

Aitch · 04/05/2010 21:46

could be worse, of course...

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 04/05/2010 21:54

Like the dress Aitch. I say that to my DS - infact made up a scary story about a little boy having his arm chopped off by a passing lorry. Loads of gory blood etc etc DS still sticks arm out of window - but loves story "tell me about the bloody arm mummy"

Poor Buda and DS - the splint will be a badge of honour tommorrow!

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 21:55

That one is lovely and the back cut outs arent that bad Aitch - reckon around 20 press ups a day and a bit of swimming in the next couple of months would sort out your concerns there in no time at all.

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 21:56

ladder cut out dress?

with careful bra-age it could work... but also runs the risk of looking lumpy under any thing you might wear over the top

have you tried it on yet?

Aitch · 04/05/2010 22:01

no, don't htink it's ladder cut out, just a bit too generous at teh armpits at the back. hmm. no haven't tried on, not sure about the waist either as i don't really have one, being an apple, but am slinky of hip and lean of leg so maybe.

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 22:02

the sherbert one is really nice, thats the one I thought you meant in the first place. Not weird with cut outs...veh flattering I should say

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 22:05

Honestly Aitch - press ups are magic for toning that area of your back (and your upper arms). If you're worried about that area at all give them a go.

Aitch · 04/05/2010 22:05

really? oh that's comforting. although i do carry a bit of, snoooooort, back fat... so like you say it's the bra that could get me. it could actually force pudge up into the cut outs...

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 04/05/2010 22:08

talking of push ups - how's ossom dinky?

CybilLiberty · 04/05/2010 22:26

Aitch if you are losing weight back fat will go surely? Mine has

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 04/05/2010 22:30
