isthatporridgeinyourzone · 01/05/2010 15:41

Not the Su Sylvester seal of bikini approval?

CheeeseOnToast · 01/05/2010 16:40

ooh porridge I got one just like that from Primark about 4 years ago. It makes its outing every beach holiday and I always get compliments. The halter top is really flattering.

Very much like this one from their website.

CheeeseOnToast · 01/05/2010 16:41

Couldn't link to the individual one so you need to scroll down almost to the bottom of that page

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 16:51

I need bikini help.

I have a c-section overhang and stretchmarks on my hips (what a catch).

So I need shorts-style bottoms.

But my tits are small and perky and the general top half not too much of a car crash at all.

And I want to wear a bikini this year.

I am also v pale so colours are an issue...

Can the wise women of the thread help? I have no clue, having only bought Boden tankinis for the last million years.

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 16:59

Oh, and have a great party Cyb.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:14

thank feck for that su - i was having thread guilt and ti was holding me back. equally it is nice if someone acknowledges you.

have a great party cyb

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:17

bobbie - everyone swear by landsend for swimwear i have never bought but keep meaning to.

SuSylvester · 01/05/2010 17:17

bobbi what colour suit you normally
so we want trunk styule pants nad a halterneck not cupzised as tits ok?

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 17:18

Landsend?

Cheers, Eric, will google.

chibi · 01/05/2010 17:20

Have a great night cyb

bobbie if you find a bikini that can cope with an overhang I am v v interested

just ran 5k with only 2 walking/recovery breaks, personal best

starting to feel like 5k nonstop is doable
I am an athlete (maybe)

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 17:20

Yeah, boyshorts or trunks, and tits don't need any support- two sequins and an elastic band would do the job okay.

Green suits me (pale redhead) and browny colours. Red at a push, but can be problematic as I do go red in the sun (not sunburn, just get a weird, weird red chest).

Navy suits me okay too.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:20

just had a look - not terribly inspiring on the bikini front!

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 17:23

I know - it's a bit sensible.

I don't think I'm quite at the stage of needing to swim in a tennis skirt

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:28

john lewis had loads of great mix and match swimwear last year.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:30

i like these!

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 17:36

They're lovely, but I'm not sure about the effect of horizontal stripes on my wide flat arse!

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 01/05/2010 17:37

i am ignoring all scary bikini talk.
Saw doc who kept pulling faces at me ('her temp is high, have you given her anything?' 'no, i didn't thik of that, you nobber, its not that it has had no effect...')
Got ab's + profen, hopefully get sleep, got to sleep about 1 + she woke at 5. Ugh

I see your point sue, shall ignore you from now on

On good news, just walked over to b and q + went past Tasty Cashier Man, sucked in stomach + stood up straight, and my bastard trousers nearly fell down grabbed them at hip level so not total arse flashing disaster but still not good, but good...am so conflicted!

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:37

do you have a john lewis near you?

SuSylvester · 01/05/2010 17:38

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 17:39

in my v. early 20's i worked with a middle aged woman who was always doing weightwatchers. she would bring a banana to birthday cake celebrations in teh tea room. we used to titter at her, now i realise she was a hero!

bobbiewickham · 01/05/2010 17:40

Next?

Normally avoid.

Will google.

SuSylvester · 01/05/2010 17:42
