cyb - what's your budget? If you're splashing huge amounts of cash I have one word for you - netaporter.com. Bound to find something that will make you look fabulous there... And they'll deliver to you and pick up returns by courier. Result.

However if you're not intending on taking out a second mortgage to celebrate your birthday then assume you've already checked out the usual party outlets - Coast and the like?

Damn - in my head I pitch up to court swathed in Gucci - looking groomed, elegant, timeless, flirt with the legal advisor, entertain the bench with my witty yet legally insightful arguments, prove the case, leave my opponent gasping like a fish, get costs, personal congratulations and an OBE and leave. Spose gold shoes are completely out of the question?

In RL - there's waiting and bad coffee although my local mags has started taking Hello, which has greatly improved the waiting area.

Where's Cyb?

ReshapeWhileDamp · 07/04/2010 18:07

I loved that dk blue pencil dress. But it's almost the polar opposite of my body shape.

cyb · 07/04/2010 18:38

ooh master gimme details!

Will def look on netaporter too (dh says he might treat me!) ta dinky

and porridge ALWAYS gold shoes

think about a bored moment waiting, drinking shitty coffee...something glints out of the corner of your eye... its your shiney gold shoes! Think how that woudl brighten your day

SuSylvester · 07/04/2010 18:46

you dont stop eating you will be channelling denis roussos in this
sorry but most ofnap is vile

dinkystinky · 07/04/2010 18:51

oh yes, welcome Munchkin. I think you should follow the way of Cyb - not focusing on loss so much as focusing on sustainable healthy eating habits and the weight loss will follow. Everyone I've come across who has done LL or similar has always piled most of the weight back on because they never changed their way of thinking about food or other aspects of their life (like exercise). Good luck.

Cyb - wow, what a fab dh if he does treat you. Check out the Alberto Ferrati (sp?) stuff on there - is really lovely on - mate of mine got married in a dark plum AF dress and while didnt look anything special on the hanger looked amazing on. Hope you find something to wow with. Maybe also worth checking out mywardrobe.com (with your MN discount) though I think netaporter has a much better selection of diva dresses...

dinkystinky · 07/04/2010 18:54

su

there is some overpriced crap on there tis true - but you want fitted and structured you can get some fab stuff on there. I have a couple of RM dresses from a few years back (pre-kids) and VW dresses from there that I love and when at fighting weight fit back into. Sadly post kids and purchase of the moneypit house no extra cash to waste on posh frocks - nor opportunity to go out in them - but can dream...

SuSylvester · 07/04/2010 18:54

dinkystinky · 07/04/2010 18:57

Wasnt it Cyb who ISNT weighing in but is focusing on healthy eating and judging by her clothes fitting better/looser? That's what I meant for Munchkin - not focusing on scales but what she's eating and how her clothes feel. weighing in but eating healthily is the way of su...

BariatricObama · 07/04/2010 18:58
