seedy wholemeal is on my list of acceptable foods. and wholemeal pitta. basically i'm still going to do carbs but fewer and wholemeal. brown rice last night with a stir fry, it was pretty nice. although not as nice as the sesame oil dressed noodle doodles that everyone else had.

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 10:27

Getting in now before you all jump to a new thread - gawd this one moves sooooo quickly.

I have a lot to lose and need tough love.

Lost 10lbs since Christmas but need to lose another stone and a half to get back into my work clothes for start of June.

Not too awful today but have BIG probs with white bread in the house (for 7 month old twins). Eating their leftovers, cutting off buttery crusts and stuffing them in. Being a big fat lazy lardarse.

Have had bowl muesli, slice white bread, biscuit so far. Resisted hot cross bun, dark choc florentine and further white bread.

Am going swimming later.

Should I low-carb I don't eat meat but do eat fish.

AuldAlliance · 30/03/2010 10:27

smoothie (banana, blueberries, yog & oats) for breakfast after mega marathon school walk with DS2 (10.5kg) in babybjorn

slight wobble at 10am after tough phone call: 2 digestives

well done to everyone losing weight. I am much more toned, am rediscovering my waist (exercise does make a difference), but not weighing till Fri because it is depressing I don't care

it is hailing here, ffs. And the lights are flickering. Blardy French wiring.

Undertone · 30/03/2010 10:30

OooOOOooo

I am SO hungover. I met up with some old school friends last night. I was doing so well - only special K for b-fast, apple and salad for lunch, no snacks at all, then we went to a dim sum restaurant and the portions were tiny and low-fat (I think), so was feeling virtuous.

However - my downfall, as ever, was through booze. We shared a bottle of white at the table between three... then we had a cocktail (I had a martini to avoid the fruit juicey/sugary stuff), then we went to a bar and had MORE WINE, then we went to another bar. By this point all my self-control went out the window and I had three pints of Aspall's dry cider.

I was feeling warmly magnanimous by this point, so I invited my out-of-town friends to crash at mine for the night. So off we went to get the night bus from Trafalgar Square (shudder). Everyone was starving from the tiny dim sum which was by now feebly sloshing around in our alcohol-soaked innards. So we went to McDonald's. I had a burger

It tasted a-maz-ing. But now I just want to die, and I've got Hangover Hunger, which means I'm craving fatty, meaty, carby stuff

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 10:30

[clutches Bosoms](sorry couldn't resist) I can help you think of me a your guru.

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 10:32

My friend couldn't figure out why she wasn't losing weight, then she admitted to driking half a bottle of wine every night. She was told that was about 500 cals, is that right?

Undertone · 30/03/2010 10:32

Honestly - is there anything worse in the world than being hungover at work after 4 hours' sleep?

Undertone · 30/03/2010 10:33

coco - I think there's about 350 in a bottle of dry white wine. I'm not sure about red. It's about 100 calories for 175ml (can't be arsed with maths - too fuzzy-headed)

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 10:35

Ok thanks, she thought wine didn't have any cals liar.

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 10:35

YES, please be my guru.

Should I low-carb? How do I resist the allure of the white sliced and unsalted butter

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 10:39

Ok. firstly stock up on Double Deckers and Wotsits, they others might disagree with this but I haven't put any weight on eating them.
I havent lost any either but that's by the by

Low carb is the work of Satan, you need carbs because they, erm, give you energy.

Actually I might not be the right person for this.

I'll stand on the sidelines and cheer you on instead.

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 10:42

Maybe I should just stop stuffing food into my cake salad hole.

Hmmmm, that might just work. I lost 8 lbs in a week being really good (am still bf the DTs), but have dropped out od the zone and can't seem to get back in it!

MamaGlee · 30/03/2010 10:49

Bosoms i'm not sure coco is the right mentor for you

I'll be better. I lost 7lbs in 5 days and also don't eat meat but eat fish.

Watch me. But ignore my days when I didn't eat anything at all, that is BAD.

OK. firstly STOP EATING THE WHITE BREAD. don't low carb, just GOOD carb - get the WM bread in. you don't need butter.

Breakfast today for me was 2 boiled eggs and a fat fre yoghurt
had a pear and 4 grapes.

Get lots of grapes and raisins in, they are your snackage, drink LOADS - tea, coffe, diet drinks, water - just avoid lots of sugar and milk in drinks.

Try to cut down your portion sizes, i've done that and have been AMAZED. I havent' been hungry. I was obv greedy bastardo before.

you can do this bosoms, but we are TOUGH and won't accept excuses

dinkystinky · 30/03/2010 10:50

Lol at your friend and her calorie free wine Undertone! Hope the hangover passes - lots of v cold water to drink might help it shift. Failing that nurofen.

Coco - your diet tips are hilarious.

Undertone · 30/03/2010 10:56

Have you guys seen this article? Interesting - Bosoms - you may need to try both low-carb and low-fat for abit to see which one suits you.

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 10:56

I feel I should be offended.

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 10:58

(fickle)

Ok, we have wholemeal - we never buy white for ourselves. I will resist the DTs bread. They deserve a thin, gorgeous mummy, not a fat, slobby frumpy one.

Will buy grapes and raisins today and cut portions. At the mo I eat the same as DH (who is 6ft4 and skinny rake).

Will drink lots of water.

Will report back.

BosomsByTheSea · 30/03/2010 11:00

Tell you what, coco, if MamaG's approach doesn't work, I'll try yours

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 11:01

You have to be nice to me, Ricky Martin has come out and now Iknow I'll never get a shag romantic walk on the beach with him

Gay. Who knew?

MamaGlee · 30/03/2010 11:02

Good girl. I ate teh same as my ovefr 6ft DH and thought "um, why?" when I'm alomst a foot shroter than him

Be strong with teh wihte bread

MamaGlee · 30/03/2010 11:02

lol i saw that Ricky Marting tihng

thought "well, duh"

dinkystinky · 30/03/2010 11:17

Coco -your new svelte self might be just what's needed to turn Rickeeeeeeeee to women. Mate of mine had a gaybestfriend who was confirmed about town gay for decades- then all of a sudden he met a woman (who was all woman), fell in love, got married and had kids. Who'd have thunk it...

BobtheWoodmouse · 30/03/2010 11:20

Cocol - please be my mentor, sorry the thread goes really fast and I missed posts, I need all the help I can get please I'm mostly slim now due to running for the half marathon last sunday - that's over now and I'm scared of weight creep - I am a compulsive eater

kitkat9 · 30/03/2010 11:40

Su have you seen this - best black eyed peas thing, i ADORE that song

am getting into this whole zone thing - yesterday had small bowl of cereal, soup and crackers for lunch, prawn balti with lots of veg and barely any brown rice but 2 1/2 ww tortilla wraps

was STARVING all afternoon but kept going. incredibly bad tempered towards dh though, but to be fair, he was being a dick

scales seem to say i have lost 2lb. first time i've been under 11 stone for yonks

cocolepew · 30/03/2010 12:01

Bob that boat has sailed, sorry. (I can't mentor a skinny runner . Have you read none of my posts? I'm shite.

Dinky I shall stalk send Rikaaaay a pic just in case. Funnily enough a lot of people think I'm a lesbian. Don't know why
