i am v tempted by fitflops, my friend has an attractive bronzey pair. better styling than the clown shoe mbts.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 20:40

Hola slimsters

Watching Come Dine With Me ? OMG, that cleaner woman was farking mental (ketchup for that chip, missus?). LOL at the cereal in the downstairs bog, who keeps their cereal in the loo?!

bobbiewickham · 28/03/2010 20:40

They look okay with cutoff jeans, etc. Bit birkieish. I like clumpy sandals, so fine by me.

AuldAlliance · 28/03/2010 20:42

Yes, have checked out fitflops, they look fine. Would pass muster with the mayor and much cheaper.

cocolepew · 28/03/2010 20:44

Recording Come Dine with Me, last week DD said she hoped there would be a "bitch fight" on it Sketchers do those fugly fitflop things, they're a lot cheaper.

McBitchy · 28/03/2010 20:45

quavers so not worth the calories and creme eggs do not do it for me

been good ish today but out of 'plumbing bathroom and stress' mentality rather than zone...

had 1.5 croissants and a decaf coffee all day until the bickering with dp drove me to want to drag 3 of the children out on a walk when we nipped to Bettys and I bought a fat rascal...dread to think of the calories in ones of those but luckily I was so starving that I felt it was instantly burned away

Dinner is pasta though and i do so love mozzarella - i cannot compromise....

Bariatric I am with you on the salty lettuce!

bobbiewickham · 28/03/2010 20:47

I think Skechers do an MBT as well...but I'm not sure I'd trust them, not sure why.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 28/03/2010 20:53

Have done myself an injury rofling at "The Chosen One" aka Coco the Double Decker Slayer . I love this thread.

fishie · 28/03/2010 20:53

yes mmelindt i was a runner already, although have been off for 6 weeks with chest infection so it was all a bit alarming.

fitflops are reeeeally narrow, i tried and it was a 9 before i could get foot in so they went on for about 10cm past toes.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 20:57

Was looking at fitflops at JL last week. I like the silver sequin ones.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 21:03

DH has gone to bed with 'the flu', I am waiting for the tumble drier to finish so I can iron DD's school uniform [last minute].

Slipped out of zone today as went for dinner after cinema - had braised blade of beef on mash with mushrooms, baby onions and creamed leeks with a red wine jus. Followed by sticky toffee pud and honeycomb ice cream. Zone was a minute speck in the distance by this point. On the plus side it is all I ate today (didn't have the porridge in the end and no cinema snacks) and no alcohol, not even a cheeky glass of red with my beef [stoic]

AuldAlliance · 28/03/2010 21:04

Ooh, I could try some on in JL when I take the boys to Edinburgh in the Easter holidays so I can get mum to babysit they can get in touch with their Scottish roots.

Undertone · 28/03/2010 21:05

Right. Did 300 calories on the Cross Trainer of Woe. Feel marginally better.

I put my June Goal Skirt on my dressmaker's dummy and placed it in front of the cross trainer. I think about 3 inches need to come off my waist before the skirt would do up start to look remotely good on me.

MamaGoblin · 28/03/2010 21:05

NomdePlume, I know it's not very supportive bla bla, but in the face of that sort of food, I'd have waved the zone merrily byebye too.

and yes, v good not having wine.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 21:06

[round of applause] on the 15k fishie!

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 28/03/2010 21:09

i am v impressed by all the running, i've started the couch to five k a couple of times and more or less enjoyed it, but getting past four k is just horrible. i think because round here it's very hilly so i go out downhill and by the time i come back i'm slogging my guts out. i should start again, but have (poor excuse ahoy) lost my ipod.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 21:11

it was delicious mamagoblin. nomnomnom

Lots of water consumed today. I drink quite a bit anyway, am not a fizy drink person and squash makes me feel weird (sort of washing machine-y in the stomach), so I prob get through, on average a min of 1.5l of bottled water (our tap water is grim and I am a water snob) a day. Must've had nearer to 2.5l today

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 21:14

I liked treadmill running but road running is so hard. I prefer to sweat and wheeze in the privacy of my own home.

dinkystinky · 28/03/2010 21:14

fitflops are bloody uncomfortable - have a pair I bought 2 years ago and have worn them maybe twice. Would much rather do a circuits class than wear them - maybe that's where the fitness qualities lie

LeSinge - Bumbos were great for teaching my two the duck and roll manouevre as the mini houdinis perfected their escapist techniques...

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 28/03/2010 21:15

lol. dd1 liked it, as i recall, but dd2, oh my GOD it was dangerous.

NomDePlume · 28/03/2010 21:16

lesinge - ipod is a valid excuse. Running with no music is grimmo.

dinkystinky · 28/03/2010 21:27

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong Nom - will charge up my ipod and try running with it to see if I enjoy it more. What music would you suggest as good running music? At the moment all my frazzled mind is suggesting is Garbage's stupid girl (showing my 90s indies roots) which probably isnt really motivational music...

SuSylvester · 28/03/2010 21:28

ah yu can run all you like
madke sod all diff
