DD has replied, not before I had to do a quick explanation of evacuees.

Have not really talked about the war (Don't mention the war!) yet, and am still wondering how to go about it. DD is half German so it is a bit fraught. Should really do so before they get it in school. May ask teacher when that is likely to be.

I have been to the gym this afternoon (listened to jonny cash coco, good exercise rhythm - the film's on tonight too) and wokred v hard, have also sorted out my wellmeaning parents who are no longer gatecrashing our holiday in france this summer

food - muesli, apple, grapes, toad in the hole (I didn't have much hole) with veg and a couple of new pots, 1 jammy dodger, chicken wraps with salad - could only manage 1 and a half, DH aka daddydustbin had about 5

having a weird slim/zone mentality now where I know I am slimmer than before but am somehow more bothered about how I look than when I was 2st more

Being deluged with vomit and eye gunk from screaming toddler today so definitely not feeling very zone like. DS1 has kindly been helping me get back into the zone by eating the Mikado biscuits I was trying to eat though. Now know why all my mates with older boys look like stick insects. However will be having a chorizo chickpea and cod stew tonight which is a WW recipe and only 6 points leaving some points for wine.

Coco - I hate the smell of eggs. Someone told me to put some vinegar in the water when boiling the eggs and will get rid of that really eggy smell. Havent tried it though.

Well done on the 5K MMe. I'm jealous glad you made it without boking... I usually have to stop by a certain hedge to hurl. I managed my 2.5 miles (which I actually thought was 4, until I clocked it today) without getting a stitch in my side for the very first time.

Coco, do you have to slice the egg already? Can you not take it whole, wrapped up in clingfilm inside a wee box? That's how I take mine & there isn't any gurning at work, believe me, if they could smell it, they would moan.

Connie - my DH is a natural runner and never puts on weight. Rather annoyingly since my starting on WW he's lost more weight than me as I refuse to cook separate meals so am having to feed him at the same time as the kids and we eat later too at the weekends. Grr...
