THREAD 2.

Can you believe the first one filled up so quickly?

A little of what you fancy does you good, Blondes

Just had an awful experience, parked in my drive and the handbrake failed, we are on a slope, I thought maybe I'd not secured it enough and hung on to the door and tried to pull the handbrake, but couldn't do anything as the car hurtled into the grass verge. Luckily no one was walking past our drive and I wasn't behind the car or anything.

I've damaged the door, can't close the bloody thing.

Exercise on hold for me as the sore throat seems to be getting worse, but no appetite, so at least that's something!

skinsl · 03/03/2010 07:50

Just 1lb for me. Ok with that, but really need to get back into it. Went to to the gym yesterday and in a month I have lost just 2 lbs on their scales. Not really good enough.
Felt very inspired yesterday when the sun was out and had a great session at the gym.
Well done everyone else, the weight losses are inspiring, I will do my best to catch up!
Trimmer- hope you feel ok, sounds like you were shaken up

Trimmer - hope you are ok?!

Had the most rubbish nights sleep! Now I just want to eat lots of cake!! Will try & stick to porridge & soup!

Disenchanted3 · 03/03/2010 09:23

Trimmer, how scary!!

I'm being super good in the hope I can do 3lbs a week and so loose 1stone 12lbs by end of march then i will only be out by 2!

Anyone want to join me in my super-duper effort over the next 4 weeks?

I've had 8 weeks of half trying, still eating naughty things and not really doing much exercise so now its time to get hardcore,

OP posts:
JaneS · 03/03/2010 10:17

I'm in, Disenchanted! I've been half-trying too but really made an effort over the last week and a half. I'd love to lose another halfstone/stone by the end of March.

Trimmer - at least you're ok. Has it completely failed or can you wretch it on with both hands? Scary.

laughalot · 03/03/2010 10:47

Count me in

GettinTrimmer · 03/03/2010 10:48

Morning Ladies

Dis I'm with you, but 2lb a week for me is hardcore! I would like to lose 1/2 stone before easter - there are 4 more weigh-ins? This week I am hoping for only 1lb as not doing exercise as much.

Thanks all for kind comments about my bad experience last night - I just don't understand it. When the car's on a steep slope I have to put it in 1st gear or it would slide back, a friend with a vauxhall (mine's a corsa) has to do the same. The handbrake is on now, it seems to be doing its job, ok on flat ground outside.

I am fine now, bit of a shock last night. No harm done to anybody, thankfully.

Bebe I got myself a new cookery book, Cook Yourself Thin, some really nice recipes for low fat cake! Or you could get yourself a weight-watchers one to satisfy the cake itch?

bebejones · 03/03/2010 11:14

Trimmer - I have a vauxhall too (Meriva) and always leave it in 1st when parked facing up on a slope but more out of habit than anything as my last car was a corsa & it started doing the sliding thing so just got used to leaving it in 1st! However every time it was serviced they tightened the handbrake so much I used to need 2 hands to put it on!!

As for cake, had a jumbo caramel snack-a-jack (51cals) and that satisfied the need for cake & gave me a sugar hit so I could face toddler group! Tired now so will have to eat a banana or something for sustained energy!

Dis - Am so with you on the hardcore weightloss, I need to exercise more, that's my biggest downfall!

Skinsl - well done!

Been using a firming lotion & although my skin doesn't magically appear tighter/firmer the wrinkles seem less noticeable (to me anyway). Suppose any moisturiser would be good, but this one smells yummy, if a bit Cif like!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/03/2010 13:05

Lol at the CIF smelling moisturiser!

Am I the only one not doing WW points on this thread ? I am just doing eating better but less and more ( in theory ) exercise?

Kayzr · 03/03/2010 18:22

Hello!!

DH and I have decided to give our marriage another go. He actually left today, got about 5ft out of the door and I asked him to come back.

We are going out for a meal tonight because we really need it. Hopefully will lose some weight this week. I did last week despite not really paying any attention to what I was eating.

Trimmer hope you are ok.

Poohbearsmom · 04/03/2010 00:48

Hi everyone sorry not been around no credit still going to hosp every day for dressings but not sore and da family are good we may even get to healthy soon... i lost 2lb when i weighd n on mon i was hoping for more tho since i didnt weigh in l.wk so its only 2lbs for da last two wks but since i havnt bn doin any exercise & hav eaten stuf i shudnt i realy cant complain... Kayz im so sorry ur having such an awful stressful time! big hug to u huny, hope things get better & ya know we'r here for ya if ever ya need to talk xxx

mummymels · 04/03/2010 00:51

GettinTrimmer ? I hope you are better soon but good news that you have lost inches. Wow, 9 weeks already ? that has flown by. That must have been really scary with your car today. I hope you are ok.

RatherBeOnThePiste ? Brilliant news that 2 people noticed your weight loss today. It?s so reassuring when other people notice isn?t it. I?m not doing WW either ? I?m doing Go Lower.

Blondes ? Great news on someone noticing your weight loss too.

bebejones ? I?m sure people will start to notice your weight loss too as you?ve been doing so well. Funny you say that bebe, I?m really tired lately and it is making me feel more hungry. I don?t think it?s real hunger though, just cos of feeling tired if that makes sense. Lol on the Cif smelling moisturiser.

Disenchanted3 ? Good luck in this months challenge. I would say I would join you and if it has been a couple of months ago I would have done but my weight loss seems to have really slowed down now but I can?t complain because the first 3 months I lost 3 stone so it has to slow down at some point.

LittleRedDragon / laughalot ? Good luck with your challenge for this month too.

Kayzr ? Maybe the stress helping you lose weight last week. That is great news that you and DH are going to give it another go. I really do hope everything works out for you and that you enjoyed your meal out tonight. What did you have?

PBM Just updated you. Is 1stone 4lb right now? I hope all get better soon.

Kayzr Hope meal was yummy last night, take care x Good luck with dh.

Bebe Interesting you say that about your Corsa - I don't suppose they will admit to a design fault!

Blondes Not seen you for a little while, how's it going?

Mummymels Thanks, I'm nearly better, just a bit frustrated that can't do any exercise while feeling a bit grotty.

Now this is interesting (maybe only for me!) but since losing my almost stone, my flatulence problem has decreased Has anyone else found the same? I wonder if the extra weight around my tummy made it worse.

MABS · 04/03/2010 11:31

think i better pull out the thread girls, just have too much on with ds, can't diet at all sadly.

skinsl · 04/03/2010 11:37

Kayzr- hope it all gets better with DH. x

Disenchanted3 · 04/03/2010 12:28

MABS I hope everything goes well with DS, we are all here if you just want to chat, you don't have to be dieting to come here and have a natter

Kayzr - good luck with DH, a meal sounds nice. I would love to go for one with just DH not done that in years, sometimes with kids, jobs, diets our relationships with our husbands get left behind!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2010 15:54

sorry ladies, havent been on as had a bit of a manic week and been rather bad

was at friends yesterday and had a pick and mix lunch of quiche, rolls, butter, potato salad and coleslaw ^whispers full fat> ham, chicken and salad - i did eat a lot of salad but also had everything else

i have been SO good today, eaten cereal 3p, my roasted veg+chicken 2.5p,and a ww cake 1p and thats it, so 6.5p - will go to the gym and also have a ww 4pmeal for tea afterwards and claim back 8points

dont forget i also had the chocolate fountain and wine last week

its weigh day tomorrow but i fear greatly that i will have put on

TRIMMER omg about your car, glad no one was hurt, and hope throat gets better soon, and no i seem to fart more (so dh tells me) though he likes nestling bewteen my legs on the soaf and i am sure he presses the wind out, so alas i fart on his head - prob tmi but hey ho

SKINLS well done on lb loss

BEBE i slept reallt badly as well was shatterd yesterday and worked 13hrs, and have just eaten cake a ww carot one

DIS i will urge you, but know that my body wont let me lose 3lbs a week every week - good luck

LRD again extra good luck

PISTE dont think we are all doing ww

KAYZR so pleased you and dh are giving it another go, have a lovely meal and starts again fresh either tomorrow or monday

PMB sorry you still need to go to hospital every day, but FAB news on the weight loss - well done

MUMMYMELS just to say hi

MABS dont pull out, you dont have to diet,, just try to eat healthily - you have enough stress with ds, but stay on here and we can support you or we can just talk crap

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2010 16:32

OH,i forgot to mention the smartie ckaes as well and the crispy cornflake cakes

GettinTrimmer · 04/03/2010 17:40

Hi everyone

good luck for weigh in tomorrow Blondes. Hopefully you will stay the same for the halo like behaviour inbetween the naughty but niceness

MABS I don't say I'm on a diet, just healthy eating. Can understand the stress makes the D word just too much. Come back and let us know how you and ds are, good luck.

Piste I meant to say earlier, I am using Foodfocus online (it's free), just healthy eating and counting calories, it plots how much you need to eat calorie wise and charts progress.

I have just been told there is nothing wrong with my handbrake. I think I must have just parked on a little bit more of a slope than usual and it should have been in 1st gear, my drive is very steep and there is a space with a slight slope curving right where I park, in neutral, and it's fine normally.

My handbrake was definitely on. I feel a bit odd, no harm done, no-one hurt, but just a little something like this could have been catastrophic.

GettinTrimmer · 04/03/2010 17:42

at dh getting a blast Blondes.

MABS · 04/03/2010 20:06

thanks so much girls. i will try to stay with you if i may? just don't want you all to feel i'm a fraud tho!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2010 21:09

yah, glad mabs is staying

i sweated tons at the gym, hopefully have worked off a tiny bit of cake crumb

just about to fart on dh head as well

oh the thrills of being married

mummymels · 04/03/2010 22:56

GettinTrimmer ? Hopefully you will be back on track with exercise soon. Lol on the flatulence problem, it?s not something I?ve noticed I have to be honest. I hope you are feeling a little less shaken now.

MABS ? I?m sorry to hear about things not going well with your DS and it?s no wonder you are not feeling like dieting. I am thinking of you and sending big hugs. You are by no means a fraud.

Blondeshavemorefun ? Don?t worry about a little bit of going off track. It sounds as if today you are back on track again. Lol on farting on DH?s head.

I have been really good at drinking water but today for some reason I really fancied a tango (strange for me as I rarely drink fizzy drinks at the best of times) so had a diet one and it gave me a headache. Maybe it was a shock to the system having something like that when I?ve been good on the diet.

Poohbearsmom · 05/03/2010 01:08
