Though I have seen a gorgeous maternity dress. Maybe I'll buy myself it in a size 10 so I can wear it when I get pregnant again.

Now going to do half an hour on the wii.

Poohbearsmom · 10/02/2010 13:32

Sorry your health is giving you so much trouble Bebe sorry about your mc's skins thats very hard, goodluck wit ttc

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/02/2010 15:00

GettinTrimmer
Thank you yes - We are all so very excited indeed, and I have started to make piles!

Because all we will do is ski really, we don't need so much stuff, just a few evening jeans and jumpers combos. There is a pool too that DC will inhabit in the late afternoons. I don't think I own a cossie anymore so I shall just read!

I do feel much more energised these days I must say which is great, and I seem to be sleeping better which is great too.
I had a sneaky mid week weigh this morning and I had slightly ducked down into the next stone which made me feel yyyyaaaaaayyyyyyyyish

I am going to weigh in on Saturday am, then come back in a week on Monday, so please no one delete me!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/02/2010 16:47

PISTE thanks - that makes me feel better - yes in same clothes, though sure my arse is baggier in my jeans and enjoy skiing

PBM there is no reson why you cant lose weight when pregnant, as long as you have enough cacilum(sp) think you only need an extra 200cals a day if pregnant

TRIMMER glad you enjoyed body combat, i find it very therpautic if dh been a pita i generally go 3 times a week - work permitting - you may have the left+middle men

SKINS hope gym was good this pm

been fairly good today, one more day and then weigh in friday - though i am out with friends tomorrow for pub lunch - will avoid cheesey chips

MABS · 10/02/2010 18:02

well done till you all, stil v stressed,ds starts a new drug therapy today, wont work i bloody know am doing gym but not much due to half term, still not eating well tho

GettinTrimmer · 10/02/2010 19:37

Sorry to hear that MABS - is it a new drug that is available? OK if you don't want to answer that, but please talk to us at any time. Assume they've tried a lot of other stuff.

I've just scoffed a big portion of homemade pizza, then dd spotted a chocolate orange that I'd hidden on the welsh dresser, she got a chair and helped herself, the little monkey. Just too much to resist, I had a few pieces too

MABS · 10/02/2010 20:15

no worry re answering, thanks for asking. New drug but not licensed for kids, variation on 4 he tried before, all not only didn't work, they made him much much worse., He has bladder incontinence, they messed up the bowel too

GettinTrimmer · 10/02/2010 20:28

I remember when my sister had childhood arthritis she was on different drugs. Do you get to feedback often how he's doing, and will they take him off them the moment you have concerns?

mrswill · 10/02/2010 20:36

I havent weighed this week due to mass blow out on the weekend, so please dont delete me!

Am going to weigh on saturday instead. It had better be a good loss, as Ive been working my arse off runnning, jumping rope, davina, you name it.

I really need to lose another 14lb by may, as I have a big wedding I need to look good for. But we are going to start TTC'ing in July/ August, so I need to put 7lb back on, as I suffer from bad hyperemesis, and went down to 8st 4lb when I was pregnant. Cant wait to put that 7lb on!

Am still 9st 13lb.

MABS · 10/02/2010 20:54

Feedback every week, and i take him off drugs often

MABS - So for your DS. My heart sinks when DC have a minor problem, I can't imagine what you are going through.

GettinTrimmer · 10/02/2010 21:30

All the best to you & ds MABS, hope you manage to get to the gym for some time out for you. It's half term next week for us, is it the same where you are?

Mrs Will - Know what you mean about wanting to look good for a big wedding, my dd will be bridesmaid for one in August, and I would like to wear a size 12/14 dress for it! Good luck for Saturday.

JODIEwantsanewname · 11/02/2010 08:50

Hi all. Did ya miss me? Did ya?????

Well, I missed you guys! I don't know how much I've put on,but I was a pig in Spain Spanish food is sooooo tasty, all that beautiful Tapas, seafood, and ATM all the fruit is just harvesting, so my Sis and I went to the market and spent 35 euros on juicy fruit, Strawberries, Plums, Cherries, he was letting us try it all, and I swear I was having orgasms at the stall Olives with Garlic and basil, yum!

That actually sounds very healthy, but I also ate dessert every day and drank quite abit (although I tried to stick to vodka, less empty calories!) I also drank alot of 'cafe con leche' which is just amazing but made with full fat milk No one makes coffee like the Spanish!!!!

I had a really good time, and my sis is still here, so another meal out tonight with some family, I promise I'll try to be good

I haven't really had time to catch up, I'm still getting my head round being a mum again I'll catch up later.....

Hope everyone is well and good and getting on better than me.....

bebejones · 11/02/2010 08:58

Welcome back Jodie! Glad you had a good time, how is the arm doing?

MABS - sending big unMN hugs for you and your DS. Just so awful for the both of you.

I don't have much really to say, just feel like I have been eating too much this week. I know I am still within my calorie limit but just feel like I have been a pig! Must try & stay focused. 10st 7lbs by June would be amazing!

Kayzr · 11/02/2010 09:06

Mabs, sorry to hear about your DS. It must be so hard. I hope the new drugs will be better.

Bebe, I hope you reach your target. I wantto be a size 10 by August which I don't know if it is possible.

Does anyone know the size and weight things? Like if you weigh 12 stone you are a size 14 etc etc.

MABS · 11/02/2010 09:33

thanks all, so glad you had fun in Spain Jodie.Mine have a 10 day half term , deep joy

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2010 09:43

mrswillsure you will lose weight for the wedding

COTE well done

PMB yes my friend lost weight on ww when pregnant, and yes you can exercsie/go for walks etc when pregnant, just mind stomach muscles if doing sit ups etc - my friend is 20weeks pregantn and her bump is smaller than my flabby tummy

JODIE glad you had fun on holiday

BEBE stay focused but dont deny the odd treat or you will fail

KAYZR all depends on body shape, i was 11stone and a size 12 and im 5ft 7,my friend is 11 stone and a size 16 and is 5ft 5

Kayzr · 11/02/2010 09:46

With pregnancy you only need the extra calories in the 3rd trimester so you can still eat healthy and diet in the first 2. WW say you can't do WW while pregnant but you can do slimming world.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2010 09:51

i dont see any difference in doing ww whether pregnant or bf - you obv need to make sure you have enough calcium and vitamins

found this

According to this text, your nutrient demands are much higher during pregnancy, but you energy needs are not. Extra calories are recommended during the 2nd (350 cals/day) and 3rd (450/day) trimesters, but not for the first, which is where I assume you are since you haven't seen the OB yet. So you want to be more nutritionally efficient with what you eat.

Of note are protein (recommendation is an extra 20g/day), folate (extra 50% of normal rec), iron (50% more than normal, so about 27mg/day total), and zinc. Don't take any supplements though without checking with a doctor or registered dietitian because there are vitamins you can OD on.

Basically the food guide says 7-11 servings of grains, 4-5 veg, 3-4 fruits, 3 meat & beans, 3-4 milk.

For exercise, I've heard to use a heart rate monitor judiciously and not let your heart rate get up over 140. Also keep in mind that protein reqs are higher for active individuals: 1.2-1.6g/kg/day for endurance athletes, 1.6-1.8 for strength/weight. Make sure you get what you need for you and baby

Kayzr · 11/02/2010 09:56

Have I missed something here? Are you pg PBM or just thinking about it? I'm all excited!!

I was 55kg when I got pregnant with DS1(no idea in stones, just remember it from pg notes) and I was a small size 10. So I think about 60kg should be ok.

Kayzr · 11/02/2010 10:02

OMG!!!! I was 8 stone something. I never thought I was that small!!! I knew my GP classed me as underweight but I never knew I was that small.

Poohbearsmom · 11/02/2010 10:26
