THREAD 2.

Can you believe the first one filled up so quickly?

Hi all, back again. Still not 100% but getting there thanks.

Mabs, I think I have missed what is wrong with DS. What happened? I hope it's nothing serious.

I spoke to my Go Lower counsellor today and she said that soon I will be able to start making my own lo carb meals which I am quite looking forward to. The Go Lower ones are lovely but I am also looking forward to trying out some of my own food. Tonight I've had the Go Lower Navarin of Lamb and I made some garlic brocolli to go with it and it was lovely.

Poohbearsmom · 02/02/2010 22:52

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/02/2010 07:23

morning all

im getting near dreaded weigh in

and as have had curry, chinese, pub food so far this week and out at zizi tonight for friends birthday, fridays is unlikely to be good

i have been trying to save 2/3p a day last 2 days and today will prob eat soup for lunch and will have maybe 15points for zizi

saying that everything seems to be much higher than that when i check laydluck/bible aka ww resturant guide

have fun all and i will have to do claire again tomorrow morning to work off my shame of tonight

PBM i know - its not him who has to carry these lumps around

i have 4inches to spare, but guess dh doesnt - pmsl

GettinTrimmer · 03/02/2010 13:09

On the subject of bras, mine is fitting me a little better, on that subject I would love to go into La Senza and buy a bra that fits me, when I went there a while ago the biggest size was too small.

Just some useless information, zizi in slang French means penis - have a great time tonight Blondes, if you've exercised your weigh in will probably not be as bad as you think.

GettinTrimmer · 03/02/2010 13:11

Mummymels - take care, hope you are properly better soon. Do you get recipes to follow with your plan?

mummymels · 03/02/2010 13:12

Poohbearsmum - I don't know too much about the foods yet but it will still be low carb.

Blondes - do they have salads at zizi or are they also laden with high calorie dressings? I hope you've enjoyed all your celebrations this week.

Doing fine here. Got no children for a couple of hours this afternoon and no work either and normally in this kind situation I would hit for the biscuit box as a treat but this afternoon I am going to have just a few raspberries as a treat!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/02/2010 14:05

i love useless slang trimmer

mummymels, enjoy rasberries and yes salad is prob laden with oil, though can ask without

i normally have

garlic bread with onion/cheese 12.5p
penne de la cassa 20p

thats 32.5p

bebejones · 03/02/2010 17:00

Haven't had a chance to read and catch up yet, so will later when DD is in bed. Have had a really crap day, got some bad news I wasn't expecting. Made banana bread & ate a (generous) slice & a half coz I was feeling so rubbish. It's just been one of those days that I could have done with a tub of Baileys Haagan das & ten tonne of Dairy Milk! If I was a drinker I think I'd be bladdered by now!! Just have to be extra extra good 2moro!

MABS · 03/02/2010 18:26

still eating shite i afraid.

Mummymels - ds is disabled and is ging to need major surgery, serious stuff, 7/8 hours under a GA , week in itu etc, am very stressed, thanks for asking sweetie

mummymels · 03/02/2010 19:04

trimmer - I think we must have crossed posts earlier but I seem to have missed yours. Sorry about that. I understand you on the bras. I wouldn't even go anywhere near somewhere like La Senza because there would be nothing there to fit me and so would love to be able to. Funny about the meaning of zizi. I have got some recipes for side vegetables at the moment but not sure yet if I will get some for main meals once I get to that stage. I need to ask really.

Blonds - Oh my gosh, those are high points, I see what you mean but as trimmer said if you have been good all week with food and exercising too hopefully it won't do too much damage to your hard work.

bebejones - I'm so sorry that you have had some bad news today. I hope things get better for you soon.

Oh no mabs, I am so sorry to hear about your DS. That is so sad and must be so hard for you. When will he need it done? How old is he? I am thinking of you and sending you big hugs.

bebejones · 03/02/2010 19:18

Trimmer - I don't think I have bought a bra in La Senza since I was 18! Just nothing big enough! Although my boods have started to shrink!! Also in a size smaller jeans now, & they are loose as well! But very very pleased about the boobs! I am needing to invest in a good sports bra, am having to strap em in to do Davina, currently wearing 3 bras & tight vest top & holding onto them with one arm to do the jumping!! Must look hilarious! Also exercising in Bridjet Jones style pants to try and stop the wobbly bits wobbling!!

Blondes - don't stress too much bout points just try & relax & enjoy your night out! Plenty of water & exercise to balance it out!

Dis - did you get your puppy today? Did you decide on a name for her?

Mummymels - DD went out with MIL all day, bliss! She taught her cousin to draw on walls! That'll teach SIL to give them crayons!! Shame I had a crappy hospital appt but was nice to have some peace!

Had a blip with the cake but only had soup for tea & have been good otherwise! Hoping 2moro is a better day!

mummymels · 03/02/2010 20:53

lol bebe - your description of doing the exercise is so funny. I can just imagine you all strapped up like that. I am sure I would have to be just the same if only I made the effort to do some exercise! Oh dear on DD teaching her cousin to draw on walls. Your SIL will learn for next time. I hope you are ok re your hospital appointment.

bebejones · 03/02/2010 21:03

DD is 17 months & her DS is 15 months, don't know what she was thinking really! Her house is immaculate...well, was immaculate!

mummymels · 03/02/2010 21:17

lol, she has had a taste of her house no longer being immaculate once you have children unless her DS is never going to make a mess of his own accord!

bebejones · 03/02/2010 21:46

My DD is a bad influence! He is a very well behaved little boy, just as well as she is PG with #2!! She will definately think again about giving him crayons! DD is only allowed them when she is sat down at table...I know what she is like!

mummymels · 03/02/2010 21:52

My DD is like that too. We always have pen on our couch etc where she has been experimenting! I blame DH on leaving pens in her reach!

arcticwind · 03/02/2010 22:36

Hello all

Sorry I have not been posting all week, but been in London and working til 7pm before heading back to the hotel (no internet).

Back now and have been good - resisted the hotel food (helps that I was in the same place most of last summer so know the menu backwards ) and had my w8 mealpaks. I weigh in tomorrow for that so here's hoping ...

According to food focus - yes I am addicted too - I should have lost 2.28lbs!!!

My shape ups are amazing - I walked 30 mins on Tuesday and I can still feel my thighs and bum aching . Not sure they would be any good for running tho as they simulate walking on soft ground and you sort of roll your feet from heel to toe, whereas running is more on the balls of the feet?

Well done to all the weight losses - I have missed far to much to reply individually to all but hope those who were sick are feeling better, and bebe your news is not too bad. Jealous of the Clare DVD but do not have that much willpower; mind dh has just bought a combined cross trianer / bike cheap on Amazon so I hopefully can do that whilst wathcing TV

Dis - cannot resist commenting on your puppy - she is just adorable; I sooo wish I could have a dog but I work full time so it would not be fair

Poohbearsmom · 04/02/2010 01:26

Hi everyone bebe im so sorry you had bad news and i hope it wasnt re. your health as you said you had an awful year of it last year, really hope it goes well for ya this yr and well done ur little educator my poor little home is wrecked with plenty of crayon masterpieces, sil will learn! Blondes hope ya had a fab night with in 'zizi' mad high pts on them yummy dishes wat ya end up getting? Best of luck with weigh in Artic ul hav to tell us if da cross trainer is good, i think id like one but never tried one & wud hate to save up get one then never use it, iv already given my ikle sis an exercise bike which hurt my ass way too much to use twice... well done on resistin da hotel menu by da way! Trimmer & mummymels we shall all one day be n them georgous bra's with everything else to match... One day... Mabs huny i dont think theres a food n this wide world that cud help at this unimaginably hard time your fighting thru, i hope the exercise helps giv u some release, massive "hugs" for u & ur brave lil man xxx

Kayzr · 04/02/2010 07:13

Hello.

I haven't bought a bra in La Senza in years either. My boobs are just too big. But I don't really want them to shrink as they are the only part of my body I actually like.

Bebe Hope you are ok.

Blondes Hope you had a good night out.

Mabs Thinking of you and your DS. I can't imagine what you are going through but feel free to offload here if you need too.

I am going to do my Davina DVD later today. I think I need to up my exercise.

bebejones · 04/02/2010 08:39

I need to up my exercise too, hopefully it will release some of those happy hormones, endorphines? (sp?)

Is a health prob I am faced with, got some major decisions to make & it's really upsetting & tbh I just really don't want to face up to it right now.

Mabs - must be so horrid for you and your poor DS right now. Thinking of you

Arctic - well done on resisting hotel food!

MABS · 04/02/2010 10:16

thanks girls, op will be late this year but 6-8 months to prep him physically and mentally, he's 9.
Just had a short run, really does clear my head

GettinTrimmer · 04/02/2010 11:13

Morning ladies

Arctic wind & Blondes - Good luck with weigh ins tomorrow. How was your night at zizi's?

bebe - Exercise definitely helps with mood. Best wishes to you.

MABS - Glad running helps with the worry and stress, so good for burning calories as well. Take care.

I think I will see a loss this week, I've stopped eating wheat products altogether, it's making a big difference. I have curried lentil soup for lunch. Yum (I hope!).

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/02/2010 11:57

MABS ((hugs)) hope you and ds are ok, dont worry about dieting, give yourself a break and then start again when ready - well done for running

BEBE banana cake sounds yummy, and least has fruit in it

ARTIC hope foodfocus has worked your loss out for you+well done for all that walking

KAYZR good luck with davina

my zizi meal was yummy - i shared garlic pizza bread and then had a chicken+pepper pizza - think i ate 21.5p

im off to gym tonight, and then weigh tomorrow - hers hoping for a loss, but prob stay the same, though deserve to gain

arcticwind · 04/02/2010 13:57

Yeah I have lost another 3lbs this week making 12lbs overall snce we started (and 27lbs for 9 weeks). Only 1lb to go until under 10stone - wow!!!
Also my little 'icon' on w8 has gone from amber to green as my BMI is exactly 25 so just on the cusp of a healthy weight
Walked another 50 mins (there and back) for a cup of coffee this morning so feeling very virtuous

PS anyone able to calculate the total weight loss again? I bet it is phenomanal ....
