Oooh, miam, I'd love to try belly-dancing! I think I may need to get rid of a bit more belly before I try it though!

miam · 27/01/2005 12:02

lol wwb - think you have got it around the wrong way. You go to belly-dancing to get RID of it, not get rid of it before you go!!! Could see me bellydancing though - would need to keep everyone else at two arms length for fear of knocking them over with the flab on my midriff!!

WigWamBam · 27/01/2005 12:04

As my belly hangs down somewhere in the vicinity of my knees, I can't see me belly-dancing just yet! I would be far too embarrassed.

nowayout · 27/01/2005 13:33

buggers=bogies beth...really pleased for you hun, well done

Evesmama · 27/01/2005 13:36

urgh, cant even keep my secrets secret

BethAndHerBrood · 27/01/2005 14:07

Why would i have bogies in my socks???????

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 27/01/2005 14:08

well done beth.

Miam, glad to hear it's going so well. I understand about the sweat. It simply means you had a fabulous time and a great workout.

This diet thing is taking effect. I find myself automatically reaching for the skimmed milk in the fridge, and me a woman who loves full fat everything.

Evesmama · 27/01/2005 20:12

not in your socks!!, just meant to get rid of any excess foreign bodies!!!

coppertop · 27/01/2005 20:26

I ventured on to the scales this morning and was a bit worried because I'd eaten a bit of C-stuff twice this week. I must've worked it off though because I've lost 2lbs this week.

Evesmama · 27/01/2005 20:38

WELL DONE COPPERTOP!!!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 27/01/2005 20:41

well done. fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

WigWamBam · 27/01/2005 20:43

Great stuff, ct!

marj · 27/01/2005 20:47

Well done Beth and coppertop on your brilliant weight losses.
Am feeling sorry for myself tonight as have a cold and sore throat. Ds is in bed so I will be on my way very soon with a couple of paracetamol.
I have had a good day so I am very pleased about that.
Goodnight everyone. (sniff sniff!)

miam · 28/01/2005 07:25

Well done to you ct - wow, everyone is doing so well! I have only lost a pound this week (on my scales) as only started being good on Tuesday - so not surprising really!! Have my class weigh in on Monday night and am quite hopeful I will have lost more by then. Marj - sympathies on the cold! I am the same - been up all night trying to breathe and coughing. boo hoo. xx

LunarSea · 28/01/2005 08:46

Looks like I must have been good this week (funny as I didn't really notice any difference to what I was doing the week before), as I've lost 2.75lbs. Am not going to get too excited though, as am away for two weeks from this weekend, and will no doubt put all that, and more, back on, knowing how easily I gain it.

Evesmama · 28/01/2005 09:54

WELL DONE LUNACY..OOPS ..I MEAN LUNERSEA[GRIN][WINK]

Looneymum · 28/01/2005 13:44

Is Friday the normal weigh in day? Should I be sending me ever decreasing weight (hah!) to YorkieGirl? Sorry to sound such a thicky but I'm quite new to this...! The good news is I appear to have dropped a couple of pounds. Have had parents around for a few days and they never eat between meals, so I found myself nipping out of the room just to count up and make sure I had my weightwatchers point allocation. Rich T's at half a point are a godsend (how sad is that)! Sorry, I keep posting messages on the wrong thread..!

Demented · 28/01/2005 13:47

Looneymum, you just weight whatever day suits you, some attend classes and use their weigh-in details from them and make sure Yorkiegirl has the details by Friday. For example I was going to SW on a Monday night, so my result from the Monday weigh-in would be the weight I would send to YG on the following Friday. HTH.

mammya · 28/01/2005 15:53

I had my first weigh-in at weight watchers this week and I lost 4.5lbs! I'm well chuffed, especially as I didn't think I'd done that well at all!

miam · 28/01/2005 16:43

Mammya - well done!! 4.5lbs is fabulous! I can imagine that has really motivated you for his week. (It motivates us too...)

Looneymum - I answered you on the wrong thread silly me!

pinksofa · 28/01/2005 20:21

hi all lost a pound this week, been crazy week so sorry if not been around much to support others

marj · 28/01/2005 20:33

Well done mammya, that is brilliant! I weigh in tomorrow morning but have had a bit of a shaky week so we will see.
Am still bunged up with a cold and feeling miserable but am always cheered up by this thread - just hearing about other peoples success spurs you on.
I have found a c word thing that is only 61 cals. Its a cadburys highlights c marshmallow with caramel filling and its very yummy. 1 point on ww.
Am having a well earned sit down now with a huge mug of tea as I have had a very busy day in work - lots of people to see today.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

marj · 28/01/2005 20:51

Sorry pinksofa, meant to say congrats to you too. 1lb is really good - its meant to stay off longer if you lose smaller amounts often, or so I am told!

Well done everyone!!!

YG, I think my total loss should be 8lbs, I've had another look at my book and think the confusion came in last week when SW told me I had put on 2lbs but I now think it was only 1lb, certainly the difference between the weight I am now and the weight I was at the start of January is 8lbs (every lbs counts! ).
