Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️ Slimmimg September 2025⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Where did September go? There is a definite chill in the air some mornings now 🥶 I always feel when October is here it’s the start of the 12 week countdown to Christmas!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showing 9st 1lb this morning)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife! Hope you’re feeling well?

I had totally forgotten it was Wednesday today so poor oldest DS has gone into school in normal uniform and not PE kit - oops! But my WOW is a very satisfying 3lb loss - meaning all bar 1lb of my September loss was in the final week. Strange how these things go!

My ambitious October aim is to get to 15% of my initial weight lost, which is just over 5.5lbs, but I would very much like to get below 13st7 as a nice little half stone boundary which is a nice steady 1lb a week.

I’d also like to carry on couch to 5k - September was a bit of a write off and I only managed week 1, run 1! So even finishing week 1 would be an improvement on that… it’s ridiculous as I do enjoy it, but I’m so tired from the kids that sometimes even getting the gear on feels a bit much.

Hope everyone is feeling suitably autumnal!

Onionringswithasideofgravey · 01/10/2025 10:02

place marking !

SW 13.6stone
CW 12.9stone

I need to get ON IT 1000% in October. Those ''small bites of a cake/treat/biscuits' are all adding up waaaaaay too much and need to STOP.

Goal is a minimum loss of 5lbs for October

Onionringswithasideofgravey · 01/10/2025 10:08

I'm off for a massive weights session in the gym tonight

LemonDrizzle23 · 01/10/2025 10:12

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife I hope you are hanging in there!

Well I could actually cry, as my WOW and starting weight for October starts with a 13!!!!!! 🙌🏻
I have lost exactly 1lb this week and 10% of my body weight over all.

Next goal will be 15% of my body weight, with a mini goal of 13 st 7. I don’t think I’ve seen a 13 on the scale since being post-partum / before Covid, so 2019? So I’m officially the lightest I’ve been for about 6 years….

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 13 st 13.4
15%: 13 st 4

Wishing you all a good WOW

wherewillwegoto · 01/10/2025 10:12

Thanks for the new thread. My aim for October is get below 12 stone for the first time in over ten years!

Determinedloser · 01/10/2025 11:16

Thanks for the thread!

0.8 gain for me this WOW. Still putting it down to period bloat, my running leggings that have felt less snug recently all of a sudden felt tight again yesterday when I put them on. Hopefully get rid of this in the next few days then aiming for roundabout 1lb per week in October.

Would like to try and increase how much fruit I eat this month.

Good luck everyone!

PersistentRain · 01/10/2025 11:21

SW: 89kg
CW: 84.4kg
TW: under 70kg

lost a monumental 0.5kg in September thanks to joining the gym, gor some muscles though.

TheRealHousewife · 01/10/2025 11:46

Thank you and welcome to the new thread @biscuitcat @LemonDrizzle23 @Determinedloser @Onionringswithasideofgravey @PersistentRain @wherewillwegoto

General update:- I’m on point food wise. No alcohol (unable to tolerate), no added sugars, gluten free (celiac) and I mostly eat a Mediterranean based diet (hate that word). I never diet, but do eat moderately and mindfully. The thing I struggle with at times is getting enough water in and moving more. If I have a ‘good’ day it’s generally followed by several not so good days; that said I do what I can.

🎄12 weeks to Christmas 🎄😮! If you were to lose just a 1lb a week from now until the big day that’s nearly a stone!

Thank you @TheRealHousewife really good to hear from you. Hope you are well.

Happy October 🎃🍁
checking in with a positive mindset and enthusiasm. I am using Nutracheck to track calories. I’m running 2-3 times a week. Ideally I’ll do some strength work as well, but that seems to have fallen by the wayside!

Going to make soup now.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 01/10/2025 12:53

Thanks @TheRealHousewife !

Signing in and reading through everyone’s lovely updates.

Carrying on with slow and steady here.

WearyAuldWumman · 01/10/2025 13:01

Thank you for the new thread, @TheRealHousewife .

Height 5ft 9

SW 16st 4lbs
CW 14st 1lb [so another tiny shift downwards]
Interim Goal 14st.

Wore my sale Sweaty Betty yoga leggings to yesterday's stretch class and they definitely performed without rolling down. (Wore my Sweaty Betty power leggings to the pilates class on Monday and there was a definite minor roll down and digging in. Had to do a discreet [?] upward yank.

Think I'll save the power leggings for the gym workouts.

I have the Senior Flex class today - we do wall press-ups, wave hand weights around and some seated exercises: visualise a roomful of pensioners drumming their feet and pretending to punch someone ("UPPERCUTS!") at the same time.

In the evening, it's Active for Health where we all have individual programmes. This includes my attempt at the Dead Bug for my abdominals. I'm allowed to have a chair next to the mat so that I can get myself up again and the whole palaver looks much more like the Dying Fly.

I remain convinced that my back is bigger - certainly not my boobs, which have gone down. I tried on a jacket last night and I'm sure it was tighter across the back and upper arms. Still don't look like Linda Hamilton in her reprise of her Terminator role.

Managed to get back to doing 3 sets of 10 arm raises at 4kg each side after using the lat machine for lat pulls, triceps pull and biceps pull at 25 kg and low row for 30k. (Tried 35kg, but quickly gave up.)

I'm thinking that the Sweaty Betty leggings were worth it for the compression. I once tried wearing a single compression stocking underneath my M&S leggings in order to support the leg with the missing Saphenous Vein valves [misplaced during gestation, apparently]. Nope. All that happened was that the stocking creased and dug in at the back of the knee whilst I was exercising. Not recommended.

It's a medical need so I can justify buying myself another set of the Sweaty Betty yoga pants in the sale...can't I?

Emmadaily · 01/10/2025 13:04

Hi everyone ☺
Well I'm in and quite excited
Thanks for the new thread ( enjoyed the September one)
Already enjoying the new posts everyone seems so positive
A little bit about me ☺
I decided to join Slimming World and my sessions are each Saturday morning which I'm really enjoying .
First weigh in was
26th /7 /25
I was 10 stone 12 pounds
I am currently at 9 stone 10 . 5
I maintained last week which was ok I suppose.
I am now hoping for at least 1 pound this week after adding more speed foods to my plate
I would love to be 9 stones by the week coming into Christmas
I will update on Saturday morning
Good luck to everyone
I'm looking forward also to all the positive posts and encouraging one another
Xx

FridayNighFeeling · 01/10/2025 13:09

Thank you for starting a new one @TheRealHousewife I hope you are doing OK.

Well I have weighed every day this week hoping for a woosh and it's come on both WoW and 1st of the month.

Total lost 15 1/2lbs 7.1kg so well into my second stone which is my goal for Christmas.

I made my egg bake for breakfast this morning - 6 large eggs, 100g of ham, some tomato and red pepper and 30g of cheddar. Cut into 4 for just over under 200 calories per serving and with my hot chocolate about 22g of protein. Did I enjoy it? No to be honest, but it kept me very full - just had lunch which had similar protein count.... chicken breast, lettuce, wrap & tablespoon of coleslaw.

Tea: spagetthi bolognese & garlic bread

Good luck to you all in October

CinnamonSweet73 · 01/10/2025 13:37

Hi everyone

I'd like to join you please!

Currently 80.3kg, looking to get back to 75kg as that's about BMI 25 for me at 5' 9.

I'll be calorie counting, lots of steps and aiming for 3 visits to the gym a week!

Best of luck all!

frostedshreddie · 01/10/2025 14:52

Happy October everyone!!
I'm so ready to get back to it! Thanks for new thread Realhousewife 🧡

My WOW today was 10 st 2.
12 weeks to Christmas 😲
Ok let's do this guys 😁😁😁

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 01/10/2025 16:15

Thanks @TheRealHousewife

No loss (but no gain either) in September.

Have logged all my food for the day and hoping to exercise early. Started the day with some hip stretches for mobility, it’s something I really want to work on.

i’d really like to up my fibre, but I’m struggling to get over 20g a day while calorie counting. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. Looking at some more fibre rich soups for autumn / winter lunches too.

Today’s menu

B - boiled egg and seeded toast
L - home made tomato soup with lentils, satsuma, portion of cooked chicken, deliciously Ella almond dipped in orange chocolate (a new discovery)
D - pinch of nom garlic lime chicken balti, will have with brown rice.

planned snack for later - falafel and humous for some fibre.

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

Yay it's October. Best month of the year! Woop woop. I'm hoping it shakes me out of the depressive funk I'm still in...but who knows

Went for my first run since coming back off my holiday today and actually enjoyed it. Went back to week five of C25K and thought I'd ease myself into it. It was good 👍🏻

Just commenting so I'm on the thread!

Hi all I’ll join again. I’m not very good at updating so that’s my big focus- accountability! I’ve been intermittent fasting and it’s been going well. I’m also doing sober October which will have a big impact I think. I’m not calorie counting but just trying to eat mindfully, cook fresh as much as possible with lots of fruit and veg. I’m down to a steady 11st 3lbs and would like to be firmly in the 10 stone range by November!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 01/10/2025 19:49

They are very nice. It’s a small bag, but they take a while to eat so quite satisfying unlike Maltesers

Poisonwood · 01/10/2025 19:56

Hey everyone 👋

Can I join you all again? I’d still like to lose half a stone, though would be happy to just maintain at a steady weight tbh. I do an hour of yoga daily, and have just bought some weights and resistance bands…I want to complete a Strength Foundations Challenge in October.
My food aims are as always upping water intake and having plenty of vegetables.

Fellsbells · 01/10/2025 20:52

Not sure what the scales will say tomorrow. I have eaten like a king today! Lots of warming, homemade food. Soup, roast pork, brownie. Autumn food has started.

I add milled flaxseed to everything for extra fibre .. In my yoghurt, soup, shakes..
