Wow. £299 though.

KateWick · 03/08/2023 18:46

Happy news from QuickMeds

Afternoon everyone

We will be updating stock of the following

Ozempic 0.25mg
Ozempic 0.5mg
Saxenda individual pen
Rybelsus 3mg
Rybelsus 7mg

No foreseeable date for 1mg

Wegovy coming in next 6-8weeks

MotherofTerriers · 03/08/2023 18:48

That is good news - Wegovy would be brilliant, particularly a reliable supply

polopolopolopoo · 03/08/2023 19:11

Bury have 1mg

TheWayOfTheWorld · 03/08/2023 19:23

I'm a bit nervous about the idea of Wegovy - isn't it 2.5ml? I've been doing ok on 0.25 and 0.5, was going to go to 0.75 rather than 1 to try and avoid all the horrid symptoms I had when I went up to 0.5.

Going up to 2.5 would ruin me Confused

Teddypops · 03/08/2023 19:29

I'm hoping to get Wegovy and count the clicks to make the pen last longer. That would be nice.

Wegovy isn’t the same one as Ozempic. It’s 4 x preloaded roses and you can’t alter them.

they come in 0.5, 1.0, 1:7 and 2.4

Cherryonthetop2019 · 03/08/2023 20:16

Sorry typos! Not the same sort to pen and set doses.

I'm a bit nervous about the idea of Wegovy - isn't it 2.5ml? I've been doing ok on 0.25 and 0.5, was going to go to 0.75 rather than 1 to try and avoid all the horrid symptoms I had when I went up to 0.5.

Going up to 2.5 would ruin me Confused

doses are 9.5, 1.0, 1.7 and 2.4

KateWick · 03/08/2023 20:39

0.5 is a nice dose for me balancing symptoms and loss. I’d never have another bm again on 2.4!

UsernameFail · 03/08/2023 21:09

Great news if Wegovy is stocked within 6-8 weeks

Teddypops · 03/08/2023 21:42

Ah OK thank you.

Peridot1 · 03/08/2023 23:31

@TheWayOfTheWorld - you wouldn’t jump straight to the highest dose of Wegovy. Like Ozempic you would increase gradually.

It’s good news that suppliers seem to think they will get stocks in 6-8 weeks and even better if they get Wegovy obviously but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I feel the same, I'm not holding my breath

nebulae · 03/08/2023 23:54

I'm skeptical about Wegovy being available any time soon as well but at least there's been some availability of ozempic in the last few days. Two or three places have had 1mg pens today. Limited stock and of course the price is higher than before but its a better situation than we've seen for a few weeks.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 04/08/2023 01:43

Sorry if I'm tedious but just had to satisfy myself that the 0.25 and 0.5 pens contain exactly the same dose.
Pic of my old 0.5 and my new 0.25 pen below, please sanity check me. Are we thinking with a that little bit of extra that seems to be in them they each contain almost 2ml?

On a separate note I had a more carb heavy dinner than normal and it certainly triggered cravings for more afterwards, I can only describe the feeling as "I don't feel very well now, but if I hade some carby snacks I'd feel better." Yuck.

SerenadeOfTheSchoolRun · 04/08/2023 06:25

Mg of the drug are different to ml of the liquid. But yes the contents are the same as each other and they each have a little over 2 mg of the drug.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 04/08/2023 08:21

Thanks @Cherryonthetop2019 and @Peridot1, that makes sense - I think I'd seen the 2.5 dose and was scared that was it Grin

TheGoodEnoughWife · 04/08/2023 08:42

I definitely got 4 x 0.25 and 2 x 0.5 out of my 0.25 pen.

Bit of cheek for somewhere like Right Angled to be charging £199 for the 0.25 pen and £249 for the 0.5 pen when they contain the same! I hope word gets out and people realise.

Kfjsjdbd · 04/08/2023 11:04

I’m excited about the potential for Wegovy coming. Like others say, I’m surprised Quick Meds think it’s coming so soon, but they must have good info if they are giving rough dates.

I’ve now got 12 weeks worth of 1mg left (at an insane cost but like someone upthread said, it’s the best present to myself). I’ve cut down completely on other spending.

Capuccinopup · 04/08/2023 11:43

Will be great if wegovy is available soon.

for anyone who will run out of ozempic before wegovy arrives and intend to go on wegovy - do you think we will need to titrate back up again, if we have only been off ozempic for a few weeks?

TheWayOfTheWorld · 04/08/2023 12:09

@Capuccinopup I think Juniper say you have to titrate back up if you are off Ozempic for more than 2 weeks.

SkinnySally · 04/08/2023 12:20

Spoke to Bury this morning and they said they wouldn’t have Wegovy until next year
