Ozempic - for those of us a few months in - Part 2

Just spotted the other thread had filled up so started I new one.

The cost of Ozempic is just outrageous now! I'm eking out my last pen, taking 0.5mg for a while then dropping down to 0.25mg for the last few weeks. I think I've noticed myself wanting snacks a bit more but no terrible hunger, so it could be just boredom or whatever...must remain disciplined! I do however notice I have a lot more energy which is fantastic, so getting stuff done, exercising etc. Trying to teach myself to snack on nuts and fruit instead of bread and cheese etc.

Will be interested to see if Quick Meds starts stocking Wegovy in a few weeks and how much it will cost. If anyone gets it can you let us know?

Thanks for the heads up on Virtual Slimming Clinic. I didn’t get any either (obviously!).

Has anyone else found 1mg anywhere?

@Poppyseeds03 Wait, I just read your post again. Are they saying they won’t get more 0.5 at all? I just signed up with them

@Poppyseeds03 can I ask how quickly your hunger came back post stopping ozempic. Did you tail off doses or stop straight away. How quickly did you regain weight? Sorry bombarding you with questions but I am coming off ozempic too.

Also very interested about wegovy and costs. I wonder if juniper,Manuel etc will supply it x

I’ve been on 0.5mg for 3 months. I think I have 2 doses left then that’s it. I am halfway to the top end of an over weight BMI! So I would still be over 25 BMI even at the weight I am aiming for and have 2 stone left to go to that, 3 stone if I was trying to get to an ideal weight. No options left I don’t think now, I might go to 0.5mg every 10 days to make it last longer but I haven’t lost anything for over 2 weeks and hunger is certainly back. I am trying very hard to stick to my diet although I have been craving bread

I'm on 1.25 dose now. I feel very tired today after taking it. Good job I haven't got to drive today. Hopefully more energy tomorrow.

I paid Bury 2 weeks ago for a 1.0 pen - I've chased them twice so far as I've heard nothing from them at all 🤬

I'm not prepared to order from Bury, I don't trust paying by bank transfer.

Everyone else seemed to get their orders but ignoring me for 2 weeks is absolutely disgraceful. I'm going to ring them up and then the next step will be getting legal on them.

Argh really hope they send me something. I’ve ordered from them before and had no issues so hoping that is the case this time. Will update here.

Have you tried phoning already? Have you done the consultation? I agree that ignoring you is bad. But I called them and got right through, they did consultation by phone and it was sent within a few days.

I'm one of those people that hate the phone but needs must... if they said "please give us a call once you've paid" I wouldn't mind so much; but they don't. They've got my money and I shouldn't have to do the leg-work.

I get it, I also hate phoning anyone 😆. But I promise it was easy

Oh and I totally agree you shouldn't need to chase them 2 weeks after giving them so much money!

Fingers crossed @gingerbubs - but the stock has probably long gone now, I doubt they are sitting on it waiting for me to call.

Right angled have got 0.25 and 0.5 in stock as well. If you decide to buy from them, don't forget the 0.25 pens have the same amount in as the 0.5 pens and they're cheaper.

Based on the feedback on here I called Bury to check everything was OK. They asked me some questions and then said all good I can expect delivery tomorrow.

Thanks, that's a good reminder. 2ml in both pens, right? Was pretty sure of it but then I started to doubt myself.
Quickmeds have 0.25 pens for £275 + P&P and yesterday 0.5 for £295 (I think - cheeky). I bit the bullet and got 2 x 0.25 last week. It's eye watering but I'm not ready to stop. This is the best gift I've given myself. Will try to stretch it as long as I can, currently on 0.75.

Goodness I'm so cross with myBMI! They were great the last few months, really good customer service, I liked that you can only order once a month, it felt like they valued customers and there was always someone real available on email to discuss any issues.
I've been patiently waiting this month to be able to log on to get my order, and I did so yesterday, once my page came live. They only had .25 and .5 available, but I didn't want to miss my slot to order. I put through an order for .5 and sent them an email immediately saying I didn't want .5 and wanted to wait for 1mg. They always contact to discuss before issuing the prescription so I assumed it wouldn't be an issue.
I WAS WRONG!! This morning I got an email saying my order had been approved, I replied immediately saying no please don't dispatch it, and they replied saying oh well sorry, it's already dispatched! (I ordered at 5pm yesterday, today it's already been dispatched by 10am???!)
Apparently no way to cancel, no way to get a refund, and as I can only order once a month I can't get an extra pen or double up doses.
I lost no weight at all when I was on .5mg (6 months ago) and now it looks like I've just spunked £300 to halve my dose this month. Gutted.
Do you think they can legally do this? I specifically sent an email straight after the order asking them NOT to issue it. Do I have a legal leg to stand on?

That’s annoying @cordiality but you did order the 0.5. There are hardly any 1mg pens anywhere right now. I’ve just had to order one too and it’s so frustrating but I figure it’s better than the alternative of nothing.

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 yes that's right, 2ml in both pens so you should get 8 x 0.25 or 4 x 0.5 out of either of them. Rightangled have the 0.25 pens for £200 so that's probably the cheapest option at the moment.

I did, you're absolutely right - I was lulled into a false sense of security by how lovely touchy feely they'd been before! I'd quite like to turn back time, but I can't. Just call me Cher.
I don't think that the .5 is better than nothing for me, as it doesn't do anything and costs £300. I'll prob do two weeks of double shots and really try to fast as much as poss, and then take 2 weeks off and see what happens.
Good luck to you though - if .5 worked in the past for you then it may again!
