Has anyone else got ozempic from Bury Healthcare? If so how was it packaged? Mine came today and was in some kind of foil bubble wrap but no ice packs, which I've had from everywhere else. Missed the postie yesterday (we were actually in but didn't hear it, typically) so it was posted 48h ago and I'm a bit worried it's not been kept as cool as it should be and that could potentially affect how effective it is.

I think it was the same but so I am not worried because an open pen is supposed to last 6 weeks out of the fridge and I just keep mine in the fridge while I am using it.

Just managed another order of 0.5mg from quickmeds. Once that arrives, I will have 11 weeks supply.

At current rate of weight loss, I’m hoping that will take me down to just under 13 stone (I started at 16st 7lbs at 5ft 2!).

By that point, I’m hoping DH and I will be in a position to decide if we want to take the plunge on trying for baby number 2, so that gives me time to come off the drug and see if the weight loss sorted out my ovulation issues I was having earlier this year (was ovulating around 4-5 days before my period started and wasn’t able to fall pregnant due to that, so first port of call to sort that out was to lose weight!).

I know no two pregnancies are never the same, but I lost 2 stone whilst pregnant with DS because he was always squashing my stomach and I couldn’t eat much, so if I was lucky enough to have that happen again, I may even end up in a healthy weight category!

For anyone looking for 1mg pens, Rightangled website says it has pens in stock.

I wasn't quick enough, sold out now.

UsernameFail · 27/07/2023 13:47

Sorry @nebulae but good to know they're still getting small quantities

Traintraveller2023 · 27/07/2023 14:28

I’ve been on Ozempic since April 2022 for Type 2. I have an odd inherited form as my dad was a type one. I am a healthy weight but it’s fantastic for keeping my sugars in check.

I was concerned in Feb time with shortages so took the opportunity to stock up on private supplies as well as picking up my NHS script.

I have 12 boxes which is 48 doses in my fridge, so I will be ok for a good while thankfully. I really hope they sort these issues out as people like me have no choice but to use it as I can’t control it be diet alone and I don’t want to end up on daily insulin.

My dad died from complications arising from his condition when he was in his 50’s. I am late 40’s and keen to keep myself as well as I can to hopefully avoid similar issues.

How much were they?

Twilightstarbright · 27/07/2023 16:01

Manual delivered my 1mg this morning in case it’s useful for any other subscribers.

KateWick · 27/07/2023 16:29

Is anyone else a regular QuickMeds customer? I’ve just ordered another 0.5 (they didn’t have 1.0) and so should be okay for 12 weeks even if Juniper goes kaput. It was expensive though!

MotherofTerriers · 27/07/2023 16:37

It's much more expensive buying the 0.5 pens isn't it

Kfjsjdbd · 27/07/2023 16:52

Numan have just emailed saying they aren’t supplying 1mg any more, and their 0.5mg is going up to £329

MotherofTerriers · 27/07/2023 17:49

That's awful @Kfjsjdbd
So if you are on 1mg a week it will be over £650 a month
That will price a lot of people out

Kfjsjdbd · 27/07/2023 17:53

Yeah think this is the end of the road for me. We definitely need a ‘coming off ozempic’ thread.

KateWick · 27/07/2023 17:59

That’s far too much.

MotherofTerriers · 27/07/2023 18:15

I think it may be possible to still get 1mg for around £300, if you lurk around websites like Quickmeds. They do seem to have stock in occasionally

Kfjsjdbd · 27/07/2023 18:16

I’ve got about 6 weeks left. Hoping to get some more after that.

MotherofTerriers · 27/07/2023 18:29

I'm dropping to injecting every 8 days instead of every 7. Hoping that will keep me going a bit longer

UsernameFail · 28/07/2023 09:52

@gingerbubs did you receive your missed collection? We're there any issues?

I have a pen arriving this weekend and im not around to collect. I've asked a neighbour but worried that may not happen

Kfjsjdbd · 28/07/2023 10:31

If anyone spots 1mg available I would really really appreciate if you could let me know x

I've pushed on a day each week too - not made any difference 😀

DrMadelineMaxwell · 28/07/2023 11:59

I think I'm going to try that. Though I doubt the supply and price issue is going to resolve any time soon sadly.

MotherofTerriers · 28/07/2023 13:16

I’m hoping it gets a bit better in September when -apparently- problems with a factory subcontracted to produce Wegovy are resolved

Peridot1 · 28/07/2023 13:37

I suppose that’s positive @mumwheresmyribena. Fingers crossed it launches here soon too.

I got really excited a little earlier, had an update on Quickmeds WhatsApp group (first order with them) and skim read and seen stock updates and launch of Wegovy. My heart skipped a beat for a second, I really thought they were going to announce an availability date. 🫣 I can't bloody wait. I've managed to get 0.5mg pen and trying to eek 0.75 out over 8/9 days. I'm doing 0.5 on 5th day and then 0.25 on 8th or 9th day. I don't know if this is having any effect just found taking 0.75 every 8 days I'm really hungry on the 7th and 8th days.
