How about that for an arbitrary goal?

This is what it’s going to look like:

26/4 Day 0: 11st6
1/5 Day 5: 11st5
6/5 Day 10: 11st4
11/5 Day 15: 11st3

21/5 Day 25: 11st1
26/5 Day 30: 11st0
31/5 Day 35: 10st13

I will be strength training twice a week and running twice a week (somewhere around week 5/6 of couch to 5k). And getting on top of my blood sugar so I am not snacky, with some of the ideas from the Glucose Revolution book.

I need the accountability of a thread I have actually started. I’m well aware I may end up talking to myself, but it’d be lovely to have some pals if this feels like a feasible goal to anyone else 😊

Pleased but have a feeling the next weight in target might be a struggle. However I'm keeping at it, and am finding this thread is helping to motivate me.

Your waist measurement is going down so that's a cause for celebration!
I need to do the same as you and track that too as mine is one of my problem spots. I reckon it's about 33inches. Would love for it to be under 30. So much of my excess weight goes straight onto my belly 😫

I’ve not reached my target, but 3.5lb down from Thursday and back on a downward trend for now so not massively disheartened tbh!
I’m not sure if it’s going to be possible to drop the necessary 5.5lb in the next 20 days, but I’m not keen on changing my goals just yet…. 0.5” off my waist though, so that’s good.

Definitely going in the right direction! And that waist is getting smaller! Can you notice any difference in your clothes?

I think I'm probably not going to hit target this week. Feel like the early losses aren't sustainable but I'm not too disheartened - it will come off eventually if I maintain the calorie counting and keep active..

Some good progress going on - well done people! I need to update for the last couple of weigh ins:

30-4 Day 0 - 12st 2lbs
5-5 Day 5 - Target: 12st 1lb Actual: 12st 1lb ✅
10-5 Day 10 - Target 12st 0lb Actual 12st 0lb ✅
15-5 Day 15 - Target 11st 13lbs Actual 12st 0lb ❌

So I’ve stalled for a few days (couple of parties catching up with me, I think!) but am back to it now. Managed to do 30 day Shred yesterday without any DOMS this morning, and I’ll do a C25k run later today. I need to not drink any wine this week - as that is usually my downfall 🙄

@toomuchlikemyusername no difference in clothes yet, but I’m basically still squeezing into what fit at 29-30” waist and has enough give for me to fit into so it’s unsurprising! I have been too stubborn to accept my weight gain enough to buy clothes to accommodate it 😂

Busy day yesterday so only checking in now. A day late but on target so giving myself a big green tick.

I measured my waist but it was depressing so I won’t be doing that again. I don’t think I particularly carry weight around my middle, I’ve just never had much of the hourglass in and out kind of figure, even when I was slim. So I’m ignoring that 😁

Also, I’ve realised my day 35 is right in the middle of my holiday, so a) I won’t be able to weigh, and b) I don’t want to be thinking about it too much. So my revised goal is to get a sniff under 11st by day 30.

So this is what it will look like from here:

So not quite achieved latest target. Will continue to press on tho. I knew I'd eventually loose the advantage of my earlier bigger loss. Definitely feeling better for having more control over my eating and glad it's getting a bit warmer so salad is becoming a better lunch and dinner choice.

This is massively not going to plan. I was sure I’d be a lb down from last weigh in as I’d sneakily weighed the last 2 days at 11 7.5. But, no. I’m back to where I was 3 weeks ago.

I’m going to have to revise my targets. Maybe 11 7 next (in the hope I can fluctuate back down!). Not sure on the next 2 targets. Is 2lb a time possible to reach my 7lb overall goal, or do I just aim lower?

@Howmanysleepsnow , I would just keep going. You're doing well really - you have lost a few pounds and you're still on it.
I think the problem with saying 2lb a week is whilst it's good as a target, your body / hormones, etc doesn't always conform. Does this make sense ? It's like at slimming world they would go round asking what you wanted to lose next week. What you want and what your body does are 2 different things.
So, just carry on. Maybe up the exercise, or the water and make a few tweaks that work for you.
You'll get there.

😂 I probably shouldn’t ignore my waist measurements as it’s supposed to be a better indicator than BMI. But going on jeans getting loose it’s coming down anyway. I’ll measure again when my smaller jeans start to feel loose.

22/5 10st 9 was my goal and achieved today!!
I actually go on holiday in 10 days so will crack on full Pelt for that time left and see what I can achieve in weight loss!

Final (rejigged) official weigh in and I’m off target but I’m 5lbs down in 30 days and I’m pretty happy with that 😊
