30 Days Shred

LeatherSkirt82 · 18/04/2023 08:11

Hey everyone, I just started 30 days shred yesterday and am about to do day 2 now but I can see how, with the increase in soreness, I may struggle to keep at it…so hoping to find a Shred Buddy here to keep each other accountable and motivated.

Anyone else did it? Maybe you can share your results to help us newbies keep the focus?

Well done!…Day 17 level 2 done ✅

Monkeytapper · 08/05/2023 15:04

I’m having another rest day, just decided. We go on holiday Friday 26th, so as long as I do the remaining 13 days before then I’ll be happy….just had a massive roast dinner and the thought of putting my gym kit on and bouncing about doesn’t appeal…..back to it tomorrow though strong 💪

Monkeytapper · 08/05/2023 15:26

I ran 8k this morning so I’m not feeling too guilty 😜

notampon · 08/05/2023 19:15

I’ve had a 5 day rest day 😜 I’ve just done L1D6 though. Sweated much more than last week - odd!

Monkeytapper · 08/05/2023 19:17

@notampon ..welcome back!..thought we had lost you 😜

LeatherSkirt82 · 08/05/2023 20:45

It ended being a rest day for me as well - still did swimming this morning but then I had a therapy massage for a neck problem and therapist told me to skip today (not that I needed them to - I was in a lot of pain afterwards). So back to it tomorrow - I’m in it in the long run (probably will look to do 45-60days) so not going to feel too bad.

Thank you for missing me @Monkeytapper !

@LeatherSkirt82 hope your pain eases soon. I think I might be in this for the long haul too.

LeatherSkirt82 · 08/05/2023 21:10

@notampon thanks - I hope so too - it’s just a lot of stress build up which made my neck and shoulders so stiff it basically cut off oxygen. I was told to take it easy today and drink a lot of water but I absolutely intend to get back in the saddle tomorrow.

im doing it for serious weight loss and overall fitness so I know it will take me way longer than people who are already fit and have healthy weight. Once I can do all three levels - I’ll start thinking about what next but for now I feel that this is the right pace for me.

btw, good for you for clocking in day 6. Other than sweating, are you noticing the difference?

Day 19 done - level 1 as I’m still in pain from yesterday’s treatment. But at least I did something.

Monkeytapper · 09/05/2023 09:50

@LeatherSkirt82 hope your pain eases soon, well done for ticking another day off. Once I’ve completed the 30 days I intend to continue with my running that I already do 3 times a week then do the video twice a week then have 1 rest day a week which will be Fridays ,my busiest day.

Monkeytapper · 09/05/2023 12:21

Day 18, level 1 ✔️

Monkeytapper · 10/05/2023 19:04

Day 19, level 1

LeatherSkirt82 · 11/05/2023 10:08

I did day 20 yesterday but did not do anything today - DD got chickenpox, I barely slept and focusing just staying afloat atm. It may be a few days break for me depending on how hard she's hit.

Rest day for me yesterday too, couldn’t face bouncing around the living room after work, ..had to sort kids tea out, dog walk then decided to clean fridge out so was a good enough excuse to not do it 😜
might even have a rest day today then crack on with the remaining 11 days on Saturday 🤦‍♀️.

hope your DD doesn’t suffer too much with chicken pox @LeatherSkirt82

TheFormidableMrsC · 12/05/2023 11:08

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding things here but when I last did this, I did 10 days on level 1, 10 days 2 etc...but I'm seeing posts about day 17 on level 1. I was sure she said 10 days per level but wondering if I misunderstood it 😬

LeatherSkirt82 · 12/05/2023 12:12

@TheFormidableMrsC you're not misunderstanding it. I can't speak for others but I was not ready to progress to Level 2 at day 11 because I started 30days shred with very poor fitness. While I am following the exercises - I am progressing through the levels at my own pace - it will probably take me full 60 days to complete the entire program but the important thing is that my fitness level today is way better than when I started and hopefully way worse than when I finish.

OP posts:
Monkeytapper · 12/05/2023 13:01

@TheFormidableMrsC ..you're correct, thats the way it should be done..... 10 days on each level.....i'm just trying to get through 30 days of level 1 with a few level 2's thrown in...............once i've done the 30 days I might try and do what's advised.

TheFormidableMrsC · 12/05/2023 14:44

Thank you @Monkeytapper @LeatherSkirt82 that makes sense. I was already fit to when I did it so just did the programme as I described. I'm not sure how I'll be this time round 🥴
