30 Days Shred

LeatherSkirt82 · 18/04/2023 08:11

Hey everyone, I just started 30 days shred yesterday and am about to do day 2 now but I can see how, with the increase in soreness, I may struggle to keep at it…so hoping to find a Shred Buddy here to keep each other accountable and motivated.

Anyone else did it? Maybe you can share your results to help us newbies keep the focus?

Day 12 done - really struggled today but pushed through. Don’t know what’s going on with me - I felt great when I started but since last week I’ve been feeling really off. May be PMS or stress at work but I generally feel quite exhausted and overwhelmed last 7 days.

@LeatherSkirt82 @notampon 👏 well done

Day 12 done 👌

Monkeytapper · 30/04/2023 15:24

@LeatherSkirt82 how about we both have a rest day tomorrow, then back on it on Tues?

notampon · 01/05/2023 07:58

Ow Ow Ow!!!

Everything hurts! I thought I was handling this quite well - managing the dvd without wanting to die, doing some Anita, some Natalie stuff. Lots of stretching afterwards. But I am dying of doms!! Stairs/sitting down/standing up all need a bit of strategic thought and internal encouragement.

I'm going to have to do D3 and just push through aren’t I?!

Monkeytapper · 01/05/2023 09:17

@notampon ..it shows it’s working!…I struggled to sit on the toilet first few days, my thighs were of fire 🔥….keep going, it eased off after a couple of days

Monkeytapper · 01/05/2023 15:48

Not doing the shred today, ran 10 mile this morning, but I’ll be back on it for day 13 tomorrow !

LeatherSkirt82 · 01/05/2023 16:02

Oh sorry @Monkeytapper - I only just saw your post and did my day 13 this morning. I’m sure we’ll catch up with each other soon again!

@notampon hang in there!!! I had to take paracetamol on day 3 and really struggled going down the stairs until about day 5 but I was able to zip trousers I was barely pulling over my hips on day 7! It’s worth the effort!

Hi
I started this morning.
Had great success in it during lockdown, I took before and after photos and there was a really noticeable difference.

Sadly, I'm back to square one and then some!

Annoyingly I have nothing to play the DVD on anymore so I had to watch someone on you tube doing it - so no Jillian motivation!

LeatherSkirt82 · 01/05/2023 16:04

Welcome @lalaandpo ! I purchased it on YouTube - it was something like £7 if you struggle watching someone else doing it. I’m still in level 1 because I won’t move to level 2 until I can Natalie all exercises in L1 and push through circuit 1 cardio without a break.

Hi @lalaandpo …well done for starting again 👍

👏 for doing day 13 today ….now I think I should do it, but I’m not 😜

lalaandpo · 01/05/2023 17:46

@LeatherSkirt82 That's a good idea. I definitely found it tough today so will stick to level 1 until I'm comfortable (ish).
Will have a look on YouTube to buy it. I found it on BTtv but it's £19 Shock

@Monkeytapper get to it! You'll feel fab afterward

notampon · 01/05/2023 17:56

L1D3 DONE!!!! @LeatherSkirt82 your trousers inspired me 😂

@lalaandpo I bought it on Amazon Prime, can’t remember how much but I think about a fiver.

I'm having a protein shake now, hoping it helps my poor knackered muscles to recover.

notampon · 01/05/2023 17:57

@Monkeytapper Well done on the 10 mile run! That is seriously impressive!

lalaandpo · 01/05/2023 17:58

@notampon well done on getting yours done.
Will take a look at prime aswell, thanks

Monkeytapper · 02/05/2023 12:35

Day 13 done…..thought I would give level 2 a go as getting a bit bored of level 1….not as bad as I remembered from years ago……struggled a bit with strength….sweating more though. Had to do the modified exercises though.

LeatherSkirt82 · 02/05/2023 12:49

Day 14 done. Tomorrow is the rest day (quite a few early meetings so its a convenient day to make a break but I do think I'll try to take a rest day every 4 days).

L1D4 done, almost didn’t happen but I powered through 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

@LeatherSkirt82 Well done on getting to the half way point!

@Monkeytapper I am scared of level 2. Kudos.

@lalaandpo Have you found a copy somewhere? Hope so.

Monkeytapper · 03/05/2023 15:59

Day 14 done….level 2, urggh, that was hard, nearly half way though the 30 days though 🎉 , keep going ladies 👌

notampon · 03/05/2023 21:53

Well done @Monkeytapper 👏🏻

L1D5 done. At 9pm. After a full on non stop day: I feel like I deserve some sort of medal 😂

LeatherSkirt82 · 04/05/2023 13:50

Day 15 done. Well done both of you for completing your days!

Monkeytapper · 04/05/2023 18:41

Day 15 done, level 2

Half way there!..can’t wait to finish it.

well done ladies…..rest day tomorrow I think, got parkrun on Saturday morning so will do day 16 in the afternoon

notampon · 04/05/2023 22:20

Rest day for me today, 10.5K steps and some yoga before bed. Back on the Jillian train tomorrow. Well done on all the Shredding.

Lightseverywhere · 05/05/2023 08:22

I'm watching this thread as inspiration! Are you seeing/feeling any difference at the halfway point?

LeatherSkirt82 · 05/05/2023 14:49

Day 16, Level 2. Dared to try - was as difficult as day 1 of level 1, if not more (and modified!) but will press on.

OP posts:
Monkeytapper · 05/05/2023 17:33

@Lightseverywhere ….I wish I had taken before photos to compare….I’m feeling a bit fitter and stronger, hard to say after 15 days though.

@LeatherSkirt82 good for you for giving level 2 a go 💪
