Excuse the rubbish title.

Weighed in at 9st2 this morning. I haven't got a particular aim for June, but hoping to do ok.

Just placemarking - thanks for the new thread!

TalkToTheHand123 · 31/05/2022 17:45

Managed to get back down to 15 stone after a relapse. Hoping to get to 14 and a half by the end of the month.

LBB2020 · 31/05/2022 17:49

Thanks for the new thread

Pentiumgold · 31/05/2022 20:38

Jolly June sounds great!!
I seriously need to lose about 2 stone. Just need an easy plan to follow

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 31/05/2022 21:26

I KNOW I should never weigh at night but I just did and was 10/13 - bloody hell. I’m just finishing my period and I guess weighed about 90 cups of tea? I’m not sure weighing once a week is going to work here if I gain 3lb a week!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 01/06/2022 10:03

Ok, I braved it and am 10/10 this morning. So that is 3lb up since stopping smoking at the start of February/catching Covid/on-off HRT.

I am 7lb over my “fighting weight”, but need to remember I am still healthy BMI-wise.

LBB2020 · 01/06/2022 14:20

@Judystilldreamsofhorses you have done so well giving up smoking!
Last week when I weighed I think I was 10st13lb, I’m desperate to get down to at least 10st but nothing I do seems to work quickly enough for me to stay motivated! I’m enjoying the gym though so at least I’ll hopefully tone up a bit and improve my fitness

Octopus47 · 02/06/2022 08:39

@Judystilldreamsofhorses you really have, giving up smoking is an amazing achievement. Plus you've also had all the horrible covid and hormone stuff to cope with, go easy on yourself. I was 9st3 this morning, been eating more the last few days.

Morning all.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses - I think it's fantastic that you've quit smoking and have stuck to it. Regardless of weight your long term health will be so much the better for it.

I ended May on 9st 7.4lb so up a little from last week but a 2lb loss over the month which I'm pleased with.

Exercise continues to be a problem with work ramping up. My goal for June is to make 2 workouts a week (1 this week). I have an oddly lingering cold which is manifesting as sinus pain and general face/head ache which is not conducive to exercise!

Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 03/06/2022 22:36

Hello, happy Friday everyone! Just popping in to say I started C25K to try and tone up/drop that half stone. I have done two runs now, and even went and bought a sports bra/running tights! (I hid my tummy under a t-shirt in public, but look!)

LBB2020 · 03/06/2022 23:43

Well done @Judystilldreamsofhorses I'm currently doing C25K too, I did week 3 run 1 this morning at the gym (I’m aiming for two treadmill runs and one outdoor run a week)

Octopus47 · 04/06/2022 11:33

Well done @LBB2020 and @Judystilldreamsofhorses I'm really impressed.

LBB2020 · 04/06/2022 12:43

I did it after DS1 with a friend and really enjoyed it, then DS2 came along and the pandemic etc so getting back into running and the gym is really giving me a boost at the moment. Just a shame it’s not helping me shift this weight 😂

sparklyglitterball · 05/06/2022 07:18

Morning all, happy Sunday. I was doing quite well and had actually shifted 2.5kg from having done a loose version of 16:8 intermittent fasting since April. We've been away camping this week with friends and I've been eating way more than usual and enjoying lots of wine! So I expect I've re gained that weight, but not gonna brave the scales today. @Judystilldreamsofhorses well done with the running! I run a few times a week, and find it helps to keep me more toned and is fantastic for mental well-being too. Also allows me to have a few treats as it burns lots of calories 😆

LBB2020 · 05/06/2022 15:30

Well done @sparklyglitterball hope you had fun camping!
We've had a lovely bank holiday weekend and I’m sad it’s back to work/reality tomorrow! I’ve not gone crazy with food but definitely had more than a few treats over the past few days (but have been on my feet running around after the children all weekend!). Trying to rein it in over the next couple of weeks!

sparklyglitterball · 06/06/2022 10:30

@LBB2020 thanks it was fantastic! Just trying to ease back into normal life now. Sounds like you had a lovely few days too. I feel like every social activity/celebration includes nice food, and/or booze which can make getting back into healthy eating and exercising mode tough. I guess it's about balance, and trying to compensate for more indulgent times by eating more sensibly the rest of the time!

LBB2020 · 06/06/2022 12:03

Yes, balance is definitely the key! it's a new week and I’m really going to make a big effort over the next few weeks before my birthday as I know there will be lots of food and drinks a the end of the month!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 07/06/2022 09:33

Dear God, 11stone today. So much for C25K. That can’t be right, 4lb up in less than a week? I was supposed to weigh tomorrow but felt like my stomach was much flatter today 🙄

QueenMabby · 07/06/2022 17:09

Don't panic @Judystilldreamsofhorses!!

I'm always heavier when I run but no bigger in my clothes iyswim.

LBB2020 · 07/06/2022 18:40

I’ve put on a couple of lbs since starting it too @Judystilldreamsofhorses ! Not what I was hoping for 😫Good day so far today, steps done, food decent and within calories if I stay out of the kitchen after dinner (I’m using MyFitnessPal for the next few weeks) and just been to the gym (did WK3R2 of C25K on the treadmill). Fingers crossed I don’t ruin it tonight!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 07/06/2022 23:30

i need to start smoking again I think. This is desperate!

QueenMabby · 08/06/2022 07:21

No! @Judystilldreamsofhorses - you're doing so well. Don't go back to smoking now!

A few extra pounds will not have the dire consequences that smoking will. Keep plugging away and remember that by running you are building muscle.

I'm another 1lb up today - 9st 8.4lb. I'm really struggling with movement - I'm just not doing enough. Food-wise I'm not dreadful but can still improve.

Going to try and up the general movement in the next week - my daily steps are shockingly low.

Octopus47 · 08/06/2022 07:37

Wow I'm really impressed by the runners, I'm sure that your body holds onto water or something when you're running. @QueenMabby I have days when my steps are low as well, difficult when life gets in the way. 9st2.5 this morning.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 08/06/2022 10:24

Agree with @QueenMabby you are doing so well @Judystilldreamsofhorses with quitting smoking and taking up regular exercise! Keep going!
I find getting my steps in when I’m working really difficult as I’m just sat at my laptop all day, the furthest I go is the school run which takes 2 mins! I stuck to plan yesterday so hopefully will be able to today as well

LBB2020 · 10/06/2022 07:22

Morning all, hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been ok, after doing well all week I went a little crazy with ice cream last night! Weighed this morning and am 1lb down so 10st12lbs, better than nothing I suppose!
