Excuse the rubbish title.

Weighed in at 9st2 this morning. I haven't got a particular aim for June, but hoping to do ok.

Well done @LBB2020 . I've been trying to eat a bit better this week, less junk cause I really need to improve my energy levels and mood. 9st2.75. I'm going out with a friend though tomorrow, aiming to eat something reasonably nutritious for lunch.

Hey all, hope you're all having an ok Friday. I've not managed to fast this morning as felt really hungry after the school drop off, so treated myself to breakfast. I swear eating breakfast makes me more hungry for the rest of the day! We're having pizza and a family movie night with the dc this evening, so will try not to demolish too much........wine will also be on the menu as it's practically the weekend 😊 I have at least been for a run this morning so hopefully will balance things. Very well done @LBB2020! That's a good loss. Hope you are ok @Octopus47, do you take vitamins/supplements? I find high strength vit D, B and magnesium help my energy levels and mood etc. Usually only remember to take them 3/4 times per week but seems to help.

LBB2020 · 10/06/2022 15:16

Thank you both, I was hoping for more but it’s a lb in the right direction!
Enjoy your meal with your friends @Octopus47 if the last two years had taught us anything it’s to enjoy life/our freedom! Family night sounds perfect @sparklyglitterball enjoy your pizza and wine!

Octopus47 · 13/06/2022 07:35

Yes @LBB2020 that's very true. I'm 9st4 this morning, but ate quite a lot over the weekend, cause I met up with a friend on Saturday. This inevitably involved food and drink. I'm generally feeling a bit bloated, think it could be the heat but have eaten quite a lot of healthy stuff over the weekend as well as junk.

LBB2020 · 13/06/2022 10:58

Morning all, hope you enjoyed your weekend with friends @Octopus47 . We had a really good weekend but I ate so much and feel quite bloated and horrible today! I did manage to get to the gym Friday and Sunday but that was definitely ruined by all the rubbish I ate! Back on the wagon today!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/06/2022 20:38

Happy Monday everyone. I’ve completed week two of C25K, but not bothered weighing myself. I am not sure if I am better weighing daily, really.

QueenMabby · 15/06/2022 07:19

Morning everyone! Sorry I've been a bit quiet recently - am just really busy.

9st 6.6lb today - down from 9st 8.4lb last week. One of those inexplicable drops - not particularly been exercising, steps are dreadful and food only so-so! Would really love to be 9st 4lb by the time I go on holiday on 9th July.

Hope everyone's week is going well.

QueenMabby · 15/06/2022 07:19

@Judystilldreamsofhorses - well done on week 2!

Octopus47 · 15/06/2022 08:46

Well done @Judystilldreamsofhorses . 9st3.25, still eating too much but a bit less junk. My steps have been quite good this week.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/06/2022 09:36

Happy hump day! I weighed today at 10/10. I did the first C25K week three run yesterday but a bit worried about it being hot the rest of the week for the other two - I wish I could go today and skip the rest day but I know that would be daft.

Trying not to stress about weight and think about my body becoming fitter and healthier (plus remember that I am actually a healthy weight!)

sparklyglitterball · 15/06/2022 21:37

Well done everyone! @Judystilldreamsofhorses the running will make you feel strong and toned after a while. I'm too scared to go longer than a few days without running now in case I lose the level of fitness I've built up 😂 I only do 5-10 k runs, but it took a while to get to that level and running is much more enjoyable now. I probably need to push myself to do longer distances but just don't have the time to commit at the mo. Hope everyone is enjoying the heatwave, annoyingly it's not making me any less hungry!

QueenMabby · 16/06/2022 16:22

I did a 20 minute shuffle run this morning and 40 minute walk to recover!!

LBB2020 · 18/06/2022 18:12

Well done everyone for sticking to exercising! I’ve not run or made it to the gym this week and I’ve eaten far too much ice cream in the hot weather!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/06/2022 18:46

Week three, run three (shuffle three) - done. I might do Wednesday, Friday, Sunday next week, my knee hurts. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!

sparklyglitterball · 18/06/2022 19:54

Well done everyone! I ran Thursday, today and will tomorrow too. Really early in the mornings though, as I find it far too humid and sweaty later on during heatwaves. We're having homemade 'fake away' Thai red curry tonight, with some wine. Happy weekend all.

Octopus47 · 19/06/2022 08:21

Hope everyone's having a good weekend. 9st3.75 this morning. It's weird, I'm probably wanting to eat slightly less cause of the heat but the things I want to eat are still all stodge. I've got a bit going on at the moment though so weight loss is even more on the back burner

OP posts:
sparklyglitterball · 20/06/2022 20:31

Hope you're ok @Octopus47? You're doing amazingly at maintaining, perhaps that's good enough for the time being if you have a lot going on. I'm tired today and been nibbling on far too much sweet stuff 😬 made chocolate brownies with the dc yesterday and which is always lethal! Ah well, tomorrow is a new day.

Octopus47 · 21/06/2022 07:15

Thanks @sparklyglitterball I'm ok, its just a sandwich generation situation. My younger DS is playing up and things are getting more difficult with my Dad. Chocolate brownies sound lush. 9st2.25 this morning.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/06/2022 18:40

Jesus, I weighed 11 stone this morning. That’s 4lb up on last week? Surely not. I seem to be yo-yo-ing all over the place. I did run one of C25K week 4 yesterday but it is clearly doing no good at all!!

QueenMabby · 22/06/2022 07:32

@Octopus47 - Flowers being the Sandwich generation is tough.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses - hang in there. Make sure you're keeping yourself properly hydrated. It does make a difference.

I'm not reporting my today weigh in because it's nearly two pounds higher than last week I'd drunk nearly a whole pint of water before I remembered I needed to weigh in. I'll try again tomorrow.

Octopus47 · 23/06/2022 07:52

I'm mega impressed by your running @Judystilldreamsofhorses ,

Thanks @QueenMabby and @sparklyglitterball , its a bit tricky at the moment. Have a sense of deja vous, my Dad got very ill last July and didn't make it. Waiting for blood test results and he's having a scan some time over the next two weeks and a memory test on Tuesday. I am 200 miles away so doing some organising at this end and hopefully going up on Wednesday depending on train strikes. My 12 year old DS is also being very difficult at the moment, he's trying to get the day off school today and shouting as I type, cause he's got a cold. TBH he's missed quite a bit of school recently so I'm making him go in, did a Covid test last night. Other DS is doing mocks at the moment. On the plus side 9st1.75 this morning.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 23/06/2022 16:44

@Octopus47 - it always comes at once!

My ds just finished his GCSEs this morning so we're out for dinner tomorrow night to celebrate. My additional (water free) weigh in this morning was 9st 7.2lb so 0.5lb higher than last week but I'm pretending it isn't calling that statistically insignificant....

Octopus47 · 24/06/2022 07:49

@QueenMabby well done to your Son on finishing his GCSE's, enjoy your meal.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 24/06/2022 19:47

Hope everyone is ok, sorry you’re having a difficult time @Octopus47
Its been my birthday this week so I have eaten far too much and not exercised at all. DS1 has also picked up another sickness bug so just waiting for that to go round the rest of the house!
I will be getting back on the straight and narrow come Monday!
Well done with your running @Judystilldreamsofhorses I've missed over a week of C25K so will struggle getting back into it again next week I think!
Well done to your DS @QueenMabby I hope you enjoy your meal out

QueenMabby · 25/06/2022 11:09

Happy birthday @LBB2020! Hope your ds gets over his bug quickly.

Our meal out was delicious but I ate soooo much! A rather uncomfortable night followed (I get reflux/heartburn at night if I eat heavily or too late in the evening) so I'm tired today. My goal will be to not let that tiredness lead to carby snacking!

Off out for a walk in a minute to meet bff and then shopping with dd this afternoon - plan to keep active!
